Villa Le Corti Wedding Guide (2027): Cost, Capacity & Everything to Know

Villa Le Corti is a 17th-century Corsini family residence and working wine estate in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, close enough to Florence to make a city-based guest plan realistic but far enough into Chianti to feel like a countryside wedding. The house is arranged around a square internal courtyard with a columned loggia, while the surrounding lawn, Italian Garden, Romantic Gardens and cypress avenue give the wedding several distinct outdoor settings.

Le Corti is priced more like an event venue than a residential buyout. For a Saturday evening event in 2027, the rental is €9,000 + 22% VAT, or €10,980 including VAT, for up to 150 guests and until 1 a.m. Food, beverages and mise en place sit with the catering company rather than the venue fee, while the wooden courtyard platform and retractable cover are separately priced services.

That keeps the fixed venue line relatively contained, but it is not a turnkey package. Catering and bar service, compulsory Principe Corsini wine, rentals, lighting, entertainment, transport and most operating staff sit outside the base fee. The other major decision is weather: the courtyard can be covered, but there is no published seated wet-weather layout for a 150-person wedding. In practice, Le Corti works best for couples who value the historic setting and Florence access, and are comfortable building the celebration around an external supplier team.

Villa Le Corti's biggest financial advantage is that the event fee does not come with a mandatory multi-night residential buyout. At €10,980 including VAT for up to 150 guests, the venue rental is a relatively small share of the full wedding budget modeled below. The tradeoff is that Le Corti gives you much less of the wedding in that headline number: catering, production, staffing and most guest logistics are separate.

The physical layout is what makes the property distinctive. The internal courtyard is not simply another terrace. It is the organizational center of the villa, with a loggia on all four sides and direct access to the ground-floor salons. Outside, the 11,000 m² lawn, enclosed Italian Garden, Romantic Gardens and cypress avenue create genuinely different ceremony, drinks and portrait settings rather than one lawn being repurposed all day.

The courtyard is also what makes Le Corti more workable in less predictable months. A retractable cover and wooden platform are real weather infrastructure, not simply a promise that guests can move into a nearby room. The limitation is equally concrete: there is no published seated plan showing that 150 guests, dinner tables, catering routes, a bar, entertainment and dancing all work comfortably once the courtyard is covered.

We like Le Corti most at roughly 80-120 guests. That is enough people to use the courtyard at a meaningful scale while leaving some buffer below the 150-person event limit. Once the list moves above 100, the current ancillary schedule also calls for two park attendants. At 150, the booking should be built around an approved floor plan rather than the guest-limit number alone.

The other major distinction is accommodation. Le Corti is not a 150-person house-party venue. The two current estate farmhouses support about 20 standard sleepers, and they are not identified as included in the wedding fee. A 120-person wedding would still leave around 100 guests off property even if every standard estate bed were reserved. That is manageable because San Casciano and Florence provide real hotel options, but it changes the weekend from an all-guests-on-site stay into a wedding with organized room hubs and shuttles.

Bottom line: Le Corti is strongest for couples who want a one-day or lightly programmed destination wedding near Florence, care about a historic wine-estate setting, and are comfortable assembling the supplier team around the venue. It is a weaker fit if the priority is an all-guests-on-site weekend, a guaranteed 150-person indoor banquet room, an automatically legal civil ceremony on the property, or a party that depends on unrestricted music after 1 a.m.

The 2027 Saturday rental

For 2027 Saturdays covered by the current rate, the venue rental is €9,000 + 22% VAT for up to 150 guests and until 1 a.m. The exact gross cost is €10,980.

What the base fee does not include

Food and beverages are not packaged into the rental. The catering company is responsible for food, beverages and mise en place. Principe Corsini wines are compulsory, so wine should be treated as its own cost line rather than assumed to disappear inside a generic bar package.

Wedding production is separate as well. Furniture and tabletop rentals, flowers, sound, lighting, entertainment, planning, transport, photography and video are not listed as base-rental inclusions.

The staffing notes matter more than the individual line items suggest. A restroom attendant is described as always recommended; weddings over 100 guests call for two park attendants; and two security assistants are suggested, with price on request.

We publish the 120-person scenario as approximately €90,000-€165,000 rather than pretending the calculated endpoints are quotes. The low end assumes controlled design and entertainment; the high end leaves room for materially stronger floral, production and photo/video choices. Supplier tax treatment varies, so each proposal still needs to be compared on a gross-cost basis.

Le Corti’s fixed cost behaves differently from a residential buyout. Cutting from 150 guests to 80 reduces catering, rentals and transport, but it does not reduce the €9,000 base event fee. Even so, the fixed venue floor is low enough that a smaller wedding can still be financially efficient compared with estates that require several nights of accommodation you may not need.

The 2027 rate is defined for up to 150 guests, so 150 is the planning limit for this guide. It should not be read as a verified covered-dinner capacity or as proof that every event space works equally well at that size. The current venue material does not publish a larger seated maximum by space.

The courtyard is the operational anchor. It is square, ringed by a loggia and connected directly to the villa’s principal ground-floor rooms. That makes it easier to create a reception that has both a strong central room and adjacent indoor support, rather than moving guests between disconnected buildings.

Past weddings have used the courtyard in very different ways, including grass flooring across the center and dinner tables beneath three sides of the loggia. Those layouts are useful design references, but they do not establish what flooring, furniture or production is included today. The important point is that the courtyard can support several visual directions, while the final setup still has to work within the contracted event plan.

For a 150-person wedding, ask for one drawing showing every major element at once: tables, the couple’s table, band or DJ, dance floor, bars, service stations, caterer route, emergency exits and any furniture that remains in the courtyard. A guest maximum without that drawing is not enough to judge comfort.

Le Corti has a better starting point for bad weather than a venue that is almost entirely lawn-based, because the courtyard can be covered. The current schedule prices a courtyard covering at €2,000 + VAT and a wooden platform at €1,500 + VAT. The platform must be confirmed at least one month before the event; the covering is listed for confirmation three working days before the event.

Estate accommodation

Villa Le Corti is primarily an event venue rather than a large residential wedding estate, but there are two renovated farmhouses within the property. Le Gugliaie has eight double bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Lo Sperone has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. On standard bed configurations, that supports 20 sleepers across the two houses.

• Lo Sperone: Room configuration: 1 double + 1 twin. Standard sleep: 4 standard sleepers. What to know: Smaller apartment with kitchenette, private garden and access toward the Villa Le Corti pool.
• Total: Room configuration: 10 bedrooms. Standard sleep: 20 standard sleepers. What to know: Rates, wedding-weekend minimums and guaranteed availability are separate from the event rental.

The event rental does not include or hold either farmhouse. If having the 20 standard beds matters, treat lodging as part of the same booking decision rather than assuming the houses will still be available later.

The lodging math is straightforward.  Le Corti can give the couple and closest family a small on-estate group, but most weddings will still depend on hotel hubs and shuttles.

Nearby guest accommodation

Villa Mangiacane is the strongest nearby option when the goal is to concentrate a meaningful number of guests in another high-end estate. Its current official accommodation inventory is 10 suites for up to 22 guests in Palazzo Machiavelli plus 18 rooms and suites for up to 36 in Villa Mazzei, or up to 58 people across the two residences. Current routing puts it only a short drive from Le Corti, but room-block and exclusive-use availability still need to be checked for the wedding dates.

Villa Il Poggiale is a smaller historic-hotel alternative in San Casciano. It is useful when guests want countryside character but the couple does not need a second full estate buyout. It also has one unusual advantage for couples who need a legally binding ceremony in the area: the municipality currently lists Villa Il Poggiale as an authorized civil-marriage location.

Villa I Barronci is a four-star resort and spa near San Casciano with a year-round heated pool and easy road access toward Florence. We would use it as a practical room-block candidate rather than assume a wedding buyout. Confirm the number of rooms you can actually hold, the minimum stay and coach loading arrangements before sending guests there.

Florence is the other obvious strategy. It gives guests the widest hotel inventory and lets them build city sightseeing around the wedding, but it turns every venue event into a transfer. For a one-day Le Corti wedding that can work very well. For a welcome event, wedding and farewell gathering all in Chianti, we would rather keep at least part of the group closer to San Casciano.

Catering and bar

Food and beverage are not included in the venue rental. The catering company manages food, beverages and mise en place. 

When comparing catering proposals, make sure they are priced on the same basis. Kitchen access, refrigeration, rubbish removal, glassware, tabletop, service staff, power, late-night food, bar equipment and final cleaning may sit with different parties. 'Mise en place' does not by itself mean every plate, glass, linen or chair is included.

Principe Corsini wine is compulsory

Principe Corsini wines are compulsory, so the wine list belongs in the core food-and-beverage budget rather than as a late add-on. The open questions are the current wedding pricing, any minimum purchase and the rules for Champagne, spirits and outside wines. Compulsory estate wine does not necessarily mean the venue supplies the entire bar.

Music and the 1 a.m. finish

The 2027  rental runs until 1 a.m. The 2027 schedule also lists extra reception time at €500 per hour or part of an hour + VAT. That fee should not be read as automatic permission to keep amplified music running after 1 a.m. The approved room, sound limit, bar service, staffing and final guest-departure time all need to be written into any extension.

Symbolic ceremony

A symbolic ceremony is the simplest on-site option. The cypress avenue, park and gardens are all used as ceremony settings, while the Italian Garden gives couples a more formal enclosed option. The Italian Garden is separately priced in the 2026 ancillary schedule at €500 + VAT.

Religious ceremony

Villa Le Corti also markets its park and gardens for religious ceremonies. That establishes event use, not automatic religious authorization. A ceremony that is intended to be valid under a particular faith’s rules must satisfy that faith’s requirements, and a religious marriage intended to have civil effect in Italy must also follow the applicable transcription process.

Villa Le Corti sits just outside San Casciano in Val di Pesa, about 20-21 km by road from central Florence. That is one of its practical strengths: guests can realistically stay in Florence or around San Casciano without turning the wedding into a long-distance coach operation.

• Florence Airport (FLR):  Approximately 30-40 minutes by road. What to know: Current routing to the Le Corti area is about 25 km; allow more for airport pickup and traffic.
• Florence city / Stazione Leopolda:  Approximately 25-40 minutes by road. What to know: Current route planning shows about 21 km; traffic and the hotel pickup point matter.
• Pisa Airport (PSA): Approximately 60-75 minutes by road. What to know: Planning allowance based on San Casciano-area routing, not a live guarantee.
• San Casciano in Val di Pesa: A few minutes by road. What to know: Useful for smaller hotels, local services and shuttle staging.
• Direct public bus:  Line 368 serves a stop named Villa Le Corti. What to know: Useful for daytime independent travel; confirm the timetable for the event date.

Autolinee Toscane’s current line information includes a Villa Le Corti stop on route 368. That is genuinely useful for staff, independent guests and daytime movement, but it should not replace an organized wedding-night plan. A 1 a.m. venue finish is exactly when couples should know where the coaches are waiting and which hotel hubs they serve.

The lawn has three independent entrances, which is useful for event operations, but that does not establish the largest coach that can enter, turn and wait. The transport plan still needs an agreed loading point, vehicle size and waiting area that does not conflict with supplier access.

Our preferred transport plan for 100-150 guests would be one or two concentrated accommodation hubs, scheduled outbound coaches, and at least two return departures so guests are not forced to stay until the final cutoff. Guests based in central Florence can also use the city before and after the wedding without renting cars.

We would start with late May, June or early September. Those periods give Le Corti the best chance to use the Italian Garden, lawn and cypress avenue without the strongest midsummer heat.

July and August are not automatically easier just because they are drier. The broad lawn and garden settings expose guests to sun, so shade, water, ceremony timing and a cooler retreat space matter. In September and October the courtyard cover becomes more valuable, but the courtyard itself is not heated under the current service schedule.

For a spring or autumn wedding, we would decide whether we genuinely like the covered-courtyard experience before booking. The right question is not simply ‘Can the roof close?’ It is whether the full dinner and party still feel intentional if the weather forces that plan from the start.

Because the event rental does not require a multi-night residential buyout, couples have unusual freedom in how much of the weekend they place at Le Corti. The simplest format is a Florence or San Casciano welcome evening, the Saturday wedding at Le Corti, and a Sunday brunch back at the main hotel hub. That keeps the venue contract focused on the event it prices clearly.

The estate can still play a larger role in the weekend. Villa Le Corti operates historic cellar visits, tastings, gardens, an Enoteca and Osteria, which gives guests something to do locally without building every activity from scratch. Private group use, however, is separate from ordinary visitor operations and needs its own arrangement.

Villa Mangiacane: more accommodation in the same San Casciano area

Villa Mangiacane is the natural comparison when the priority shifts from a one-day venue toward a more residential estate stay. Its two current residences together can host up to 58 guests across 28 rooms and suites. That gives a 100-150 person wedding a much larger on-property residential core than Le Corti’s 20 standard estate sleepers. The comparison is less about which villa is more historic and more about whether you want to pay for a substantial stay component or keep the wedding venue and hotel plan separate.

Villa Il Poggiale: useful if a legal civil ceremony matters

Villa Il Poggiale is a smaller hotel-style historic villa rather than a large courtyard event estate. Its practical advantage is legal: the Comune di San Casciano currently lists it as an authorized civil-marriage location. It is worth comparing when an on-site legally binding ceremony matters more than Le Corti’s 150-person event scale.

Castello di Gabbiano: another Chianti wine estate with lodging

Castello di Gabbiano gives couples another working-wine-estate option in the same broader San Casciano area, with 10 castle rooms plus separate farmhouse apartments and a wedding program quoted on request. It is useful when having more overnight inventory on the wedding property matters. Le Corti’s current pricing is much more transparent at the event-day level, while Gabbiano requires a personalized wedding proposal for the actual event package.
