For wedding websites

Add an interactive map to your wedding website

One map with your ceremony, reception, hotel blocks, welcome drinks and Sunday brunch — grouped by part of the weekend, tappable for directions, and embedded right on your own site. Free to publish. Style it in your colors for $11.99.

What you paste into your wedding website

<iframe src="https://roamrecs.com/wedding-map-embed.html?tripId=YOUR_ID&pc=%23d8a7b1"
  width="100%" height="600" loading="lazy"
  title="Our wedding weekend map"
  style="border:0;border-radius:16px;max-width:100%;"></iframe>

You don't write this yourself. The wedding map builder shows a live preview while you pick your colors, then hands you the finished snippet to copy.

live example

This is the actual embed

Not a screenshot — the same widget your guests would use, running right here on this page.

Styled with Wedding Pro — a color per part of the trip, subsections in shades of their section, a ring for the wedding and glasses for the wineries. Every pin is numbered to match its row. Tap one; the notes are the couple's own.

how it works

Three steps, about five minutes

No plugin, no developer, nothing to install on your site.

1

Add your places

Make a free collection with the ceremony, the reception venue, your hotel blocks, the rehearsal dinner and anywhere you're sending guests with a free afternoon. Group them into sections — Friday, The Wedding, Where to Stay — and each section gets its own pin color on the map.

2

Style the map

Open the wedding map builder and give each part of the weekend its own color and pin — a ring for the venue, champagne glasses for the wineries, a chapel for the ceremony. Subsections take lighter and darker shades of their section automatically. Rename the legend, recolor the map, add your monogram. Everything previews live.

3

Paste it in

Copy the snippet and paste it into any block on your wedding site that accepts HTML — a Squarespace Code Block, a Showit Embed Code element, a Wix HTML iframe, a Webflow Embed, a WordPress Custom HTML block. It's live the moment you publish.

what goes on it

Everything guests text you about anyway

One page that answers the questions instead of six paragraphs of addresses.

Ceremony & reception

The two addresses everyone screenshots. Pin both, and if the reception is a drive away, guests can see exactly how far before they book a car.

Hotel blocks

Show every room block on the map with the walk to the venue visible at a glance. Guests pick the one that suits them instead of asking which is closest.

Welcome party & brunch

The Friday drinks, the rehearsal dinner, the Sunday brunch — each in its own section, so the weekend reads in order rather than as one pile of pins.

Your actual recommendations

Coffee, dinner, the beach you love, the hike worth the early start. This is the part guests keep open on their phones all weekend.

Out-of-town guests

Airports, the train station, parking. Especially useful for a destination wedding, where half the guest list has never been to the country.

Hair, nails & getting ready

Salons, the spa, the barber your groomsmen can walk to. The bridal-party logistics that never fit on the schedule page.

where it works

Works with the site you already built

It's a plain iframe, so anywhere you can paste HTML, the map goes.

Squarespace

Add a Code Block to your Travel or Details page and paste the snippet in. Squarespace guide →

Showit

The wedding-site favorite. Drop an Embed Code element on the canvas and size it for desktop and mobile separately. Showit guide →

Wix, Webflow & WordPress

Wix HTML iframe element, Webflow Embed, WordPress Custom HTML block. Same snippet in all three.

The Knot & Zola

These builders don't allow custom HTML on their templates, so embedding isn't possible there. Link to your map instead — it opens as its own page and works the same on a phone.

pricing

Free to publish. $11.99 to make it yours.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a map to my wedding website?

Create a free RoamRecs collection with your wedding weekend places, open the wedding map builder, and copy the embed snippet. Paste it into any block on your wedding website that accepts HTML — Squarespace, Showit, Wix, Webflow and WordPress all have one.

Is a wedding website map free?

Yes. The map, the place list and unlimited guest views are free, with a small RoamRecs credit on the map. A one-time $11.99 upgrade unlocks your own colors, pin shapes, section names, fonts and monogram for that collection. No subscription.

Can I match the map to my wedding colors?

Yes, on the upgraded tier. Every part of the weekend can have its own color and its own pin — star, heart, ring, chapel, champagne, blossom, bed, restaurant or coffee — and subsections inside a section take lighter and darker shades of it automatically. You can also set the pin outline and number, recolor the map's land and water, and add your monogram.

Do my guests need an account to see the map?

No. Guests open the map, tap any pin for the photo and address, filter by part of the weekend, and get directions — without signing in or downloading anything.

Can I update the map after I've shared the link?

Yes. The embed reads your collection live, so adding a brunch spot or swapping a hotel updates the map on your wedding website straight away. You never paste the snippet twice.

Does it work on The Knot and Zola?

Not as an embed — those builders don't allow custom HTML on their templates. Link to your map from your travel or details page instead: it opens as its own mobile-friendly page with the same pins, sections and directions.

Can you just set it up for me?

Yes, and it costs nothing extra. You can absolutely do it yourself — the builder is yours the moment you upgrade — but we also reach out after every upgrade to check it looks right. Email contact@roamrecs.com with your colors, your fonts and a link to your wedding website and we'll match the map to your invitations and send back the code to paste, usually within a day.

What happens to the map after the wedding?

It stays up. Plenty of couples keep it as the guide they send friends visiting the same place — and you can keep editing it long after the weekend.
