Help Choosing a Wedding Venue

A full-service destination planner costs $8,000–$25,000. Most couples don't need one yet — they need help with the venue, which is the decision everything else hangs off. Ask a concierge that has read all 1,381 venues in our collection and knows what each one sleeps, costs, and who to email. First question free.

Every couple planning a destination wedding hits the same wall. You have forty browser tabs, a Pinterest board with no capacities on it, and three venues that looked perfect until you found out one sleeps thirty people. The information you need to decide — how many guests actually fit, what a three-night buyout really costs, whether catering is yours to choose — is scattered across brochures, enquiry forms and inboxes that take a week to reply.

A wedding planner solves this, and for an international wedding you will probably want one eventually. But a full-service destination planner runs $8,000–$25,000, and most couples pick their venue long before they hire one. That gap is what this is for: fractional help with the single decision that determines every other decision.

How It Works

Tell It What You Need. Get a Real Shortlist.

Four things decide a venue: guest count, budget, rough season, and the feeling you're after. Give it those and it does the filtering you'd otherwise do by hand across twenty-two guides.

1

Ask in plain English

"A Tuscan winery that sleeps around 70, under $50K."

No filters, no dropdowns, no minimum-spend checkboxes. Ask the way you'd ask a friend who happens to know every venue in the region.

2

Get three to six that fit

Each with a concrete reason — sleeps exactly 70, $42,000 for a three-night buyout, catering through approved partners only. Not adjectives. The numbers you're actually choosing on.

3

And what it ruled out

"Borgo Corsignano — sleeps 86, over your target."

A shortlist is defined as much by what comes off it, and knowing why stops you re-finding the same wrong venue next week.

4

Watch the shortlist build

Venues pin to a map as you go and stay there across the whole conversation. Change your mind and a ruled-out venue comes off. Save the finished shortlist as a collection to share.

5

Then get the contacts

Once you've narrowed down, ask for the enquiry address and brochure. 1,132 of the 1,381 venues have a direct email on file — so you're writing to the venue, not filling in a form and hoping.

6

Compare across regions

Torn between Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast? Ask it directly. Comparing destinations is the whole question early on, and it's the one thing twenty-two separate guides can't help you with.

Grounded, Not Generated

Why Not Just Ask ChatGPT?

You can, and it will give you a beautiful answer. The problem is that some of it won't be true.

A general chatbot has no venue list. It writes what a Tuscan wedding venue sounds like — and it is very good at that. It will name an estate that closed in 2019, quote a per-night rate it has no source for, and hand you an email address that bounces. You won't find out until you've written five enquiries and heard back from two.

This concierge can only recommend from a fixed collection that real people compiled, visited and wrote up. It cannot invent a venue, because inventing one is the thing it is specifically prevented from doing. When a note doesn't cover something — a 2027 rate, next September's availability — it says so and tells you to confirm with the venue, rather than filling the gap with something plausible.

There's a second difference that matters more than it sounds. Most AI search tools retrieve a handful of likely matches and answer from those. This one reads all 1,381 venues on every question. That's the difference between "here are some Tuscan wineries" and "three of these sleep exactly 70, and here they are" — because a venue that sleeps 70 and a venue that sleeps 86 look nearly identical to a search engine, and completely different to you.

What's On File

What It Knows About Each Venue

Compiled by hand, venue by venue — the details that decide a shortlist and are hardest to find yourself.

Capacity, both kinds

Reception capacity and how many guests actually sleep on site — the number that quietly decides whether your whole wedding party stays together or half of them are in a hotel twenty-two minutes away.

Pricing and stay minimums

Nightly exclusive-use rates, three-night buyout figures, weekday discounts, and the minimum stays that turn a "$13,500 a night" venue into a $40,500 commitment.

Catering and vendor rules

Whether you can bring your own caterer or must pick from an approved list — one of the biggest hidden constraints on a venue, and almost never on the front page of a brochure.

Style, setting and rain backup

Vineyard estate, cliffside, medieval borgo, palace ballroom. Plus whether there's a real indoor option when it rains in October.

Websites and enquiry addresses

1,379 venues have a website on file and 1,132 have a direct enquiry email. Ask and it hands them over, so you're writing to the venue rather than a contact form.

Brochures, where they exist

773 venues have a wedding brochure on file. Not every venue has one, and it will tell you honestly when there isn't one — then give you the website and address so you can request it.

Straight Answers

What This Is Not

Worth being clear before you spend anything.

It is not a wedding planner. It doesn't coordinate vendors, handle the Italian Nulla Osta or Portuguese certification, negotiate a contract, book boat transfers, or run your wedding day. For an international wedding, a local planner is worth every euro — and this is not a substitute for one.

It is not a booking engine. It can't check whether 12 September 2027 is free, and it won't pretend to. Availability and current pricing come from the venue, which is exactly why it gives you their address.

It only knows our collection. 1,381 venues across twenty-two destinations, curated rather than exhaustive. If the perfect venue for you is in Morocco and we haven't been there, it won't invent it — it will tell you it doesn't have one.

The answers are written by AI. They're grounded in real notes about real venues, and it hedges rather than guesses. But venues change hands and reprice constantly, so confirm anything that costs money before you act on it.

Pricing

One Free Question. Then $29, Once.

Ask something real first and judge the answer before you pay for anything.

Your first question is genuinely free — a full answer with a real shortlist, not a teaser. If it isn't useful, close the tab and you've lost nothing.

After that it's $29 once for unlimited questions. Not a subscription, not per message, and nothing to cancel. For context, that's well under 1% of what a full-service destination planner costs, and it covers the part of their job you need first.

Rather someone just did it for you?

For $99, we will pick five venues that fit your date, guest count and budget, check your date with each venue, and send you the shortlist with pricing within 72 hours. Real people, not the chat.

What Couples Say After They Unlock

The venue shortlist is the part they came for. These are the bits they mention afterwards.

FAQ

Questions Couples Ask Before They Start

Including the sceptical ones.

What is a fractional wedding planner?

Help with one part of the planning rather than all of it. A full-service destination planner costs $8,000–$25,000 and covers vendors, logistics, paperwork and the day itself. Most couples don't need all that at the start — they need help with the venue, which every other choice depends on. This covers that one part.

Is this a replacement for a wedding planner?

No, and it isn't trying to be. What it replaces is the six weeks of tabs, spreadsheets and unanswered enquiry forms that come before you hire one. Plenty of couples choose their venue before a planner is involved at all — this is for that stretch.

How is it different from asking ChatGPT?

A general chatbot invents venues, prices and email addresses that look right and aren't. This one can only recommend from a real collection, reads all 1,381 venues before answering, and says "I'm not certain, check with them" instead of guessing.

How much does it cost?

First question free. Then $29 once for unlimited questions — no subscription, no per-message charge.

Where are the venues?

Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Puglia, Santorini, Croatia, France, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, Hawaii, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New York City, Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, the UK, Washington, DC, and Napa & Sonoma. Comparing across regions is part of the job — ask it Tuscany vs. Amalfi directly.

Will it tell me what doesn't fit?

Yes, deliberately. Ask for something that sleeps 70 and it names the ones that sleep 86 or 98 and says why they're out. Ruled-out venues also come off the map instead of staying pinned.

Can I keep the shortlist?

Yes. Venues build up on a map across the whole conversation rather than resetting each question, and you can save the finished shortlist as a collection to share with your partner, families, or a planner later.

Do I need an account?

Yes — a free RoamRecs account, before the first question. Your first question is still free; the account is what the answers, your shortlist and any venues you save are attached to, so you can pick the conversation back up tomorrow or on your phone.

Start with the question you're actually stuck on

"A Tuscan winery that sleeps 70 under $50K." "Somewhere on the water for 80 guests in September." Whatever the tab you keep going back to. The first answer is free.
