The best happy hours in Seattle can stand in for dinner. Sugar Hill takes half off its entire dine-in menu, Donna's pours cheap drinks next to $10 pasta until midnight, and Kokkaku sells oysters for $1.75 in Wallingford.
Capitol Hill, Belltown and Ballard Avenue have the most options, but some of the strongest deals sit outside them: Mamma Melina near University Village, Toulouse Petit in Lower Queen Anne, The Westy in West Seattle and The Coupe & Flute on Beacon Hill.
All 43 are below, with the days, hours and seating rules that matter. We checked them in November 2026, but happy hours change fast, so look at the current menu before you cross town for one item.

Best Capitol Hill Happy Hours
Capitol Hill has the city's biggest concentration of real discounts. Canon, Sugar Hill and Herb & Bitter all cut prices in half, Donna's and Ba Bar run late, and Tavern Law gives you two hours every day, and its private speakeasy upstairs is in our Seattle bars for large groups guide. Most of these rooms are small, so get there at the start.

Canon
928 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
The whiskey list is enormous and the food is far more than an afterthought, so this is a happy hour worth planning a night around. Happy hour: Wed, Thu and Sun, 5–6pm and 11pm–midnight The deal: 50% off food, wine by the glass and draft beer, but cocktails stay full price. Parties are limited to four, and it's 21+.

Sugar Hill
414 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
The simplest big deal on the Hill: get there in the first hour and build a Thai street-food dinner at half price. Happy hour: Wed–Sun, 5–6pm The deal: 50% off the entire dine-in menu during its "Happiest Hour"

Donna's
1355 E Olive Wy, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
A dark little cocktail bar with a disco ball and a serious pasta habit. Happy hour: Daily, 4–6pm and 10pm–midnight The deal: All pasta is $10, cocktails are $10, wine is $7, draft beer is $5 and most snacks are $7–$10. It's 21+ with no reservations.

Herb & Bitter Public House
516 Broadway E, Seattle, WA 98102, USA
Come here when you care about the drink as much as the discount, with an amaro-heavy list and a glass-covered patio. Happy hour: Wed–Sun, 4–5pm and 9pm–close The deal: Half off the bar in both windows, plus 25% off food from 4–5pm

Liberty
517 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112, USA
A neighborhood cocktail bar that also happens to make sushi, and a calmer option than the Pike/Pine core. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, opening–5pm; Sat–Sun, 3–5pm The deal: Old fashioneds and daiquiris are $10, other listed cocktails are $12, Rainier and PBR are $4, rotating drafts are $6 and sushi rolls are $7–$8

A polished izakaya with strong food, a real cocktail program and a second window after dinner. Happy hour: Tue–Sun, 4:30–6pm and 9pm–close The deal: Discounted Sapporo, sake, mules, highballs and snacks, plus drink-and-food combos

Harry's Fine Foods
601 Bellevue Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102, USA
A converted corner store with food that's better than a one-hour deal needs to be, so come right at five. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 5–6pm The deal: The smash burger is $10 and only available during happy hour. There's also a $13 bartender's roulette, $2 off wine and $1 off beer. A 3% service charge applies, and it's cashless.

Tavern Law
1406 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
The dependable choice when you want a real cocktail bar without a one-hour race, in a book-lined, candlelit room. Happy hour: Daily, 5–7pm The deal: Dirty martinis are $10, old fashioneds and margaritas are $12, house wine is $7, the Tavern Burger is $15 and popcorn chicken is $9. Needle & Thread upstairs doesn't use these prices, and it's 21+.

Fogon Cocina Mexicana
600 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
The early start on the busiest stretch of Capitol Hill, with generous portions and a menu broad enough to make a meal of it. Happy hour: Daily, 3–6pm The deal: Discounted margaritas, sangria, Mexican beer and a long list of tacos, flautas and ceviche

Ba Bar Capitol Hill
550 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
Vietnamese food that's far more interesting than bar snacks, whether it's an odd afternoon or a late bowl of something substantial. Happy hour: Daily, 2–5pm and 9pm–midnight The deal: Discounted beer, mules, classic cocktails and Vietnamese plates. Food comes with a $6 drink minimum per person and is dine-in only.

Plan Your Happy Hour
Pick two stops for a normal evening, and only do all three if you're eating along the way.
Capitol Hill: half-price to late night (Wed, Thu or Sun). Start at Sugar Hill at 5pm for half-price Thai food, then walk over to Tavern Law before 7 for a properly made classic. Come back out after 9 for Ba Bar, or hold out until 11 for Canon's second window.
Ballard Avenue: oysters, tacos and wine (Tue–Thu). Line up at The Walrus and the Carpenter for 4pm, walk up Ballard Avenue to Situ for $3.50 tacos, then finish just up the street at Sabine for a $10 martini or a half-price bottle before 6. On a later night, Matador's second window starts at 10.
Pike Place to Belltown: waterfront to cocktails (Mon–Fri). Begin with $2 oysters at Elliott's or Half Shell, head uphill to Radiator Whiskey for a $10 old fashioned before 5, then walk north to Roquette for a 5–7pm cocktail. Umi and Palace Kitchen are the late-night backups.
Looking for a morning plan instead? Our Seattle coffee shops guide has four walkable crawls. Before you go: get there at the start for the one-hour deals at Canon, Sugar Hill, Harry's, The Walrus and the Carpenter and Lady Jaye, and check each card for seating rules and service charges.
