Seattle does Christmas drinks in a few very different ways. Miracle takes over Rob Roy, a rooftop on 2nd Avenue turns into a vintage toy shop, and Capitol Hill has a loud dive bar with a Santa's speakeasy upstairs. There's also gløgg by the fire in Ballard and Glühwein at Seattle Center while the rain makes up its mind.
This guide covers 18 Christmas bars, holiday pop-ups and festive outings around the city, organized by neighborhood so you can build one good night without crossing town. The table has the 2026 dates that are posted so far, plus how to get in. Details were last checked in November 2026, and we'll update the cards still waiting on dates as venues post them. For dinner rather than drinks, see our Seattle restaurants that go all out for Christmas.

Downtown and Belltown Christmas Bars
This is the easiest place to stack two stops, with a classic takeover, a rooftop toy shop, hotel bars and a waterfront lobby all fairly close together. The Toy Room also hosts Storytime with Santa on Sundays, in our where to see Santa in Seattle guide. Need a free, all-ages stop first? Snow Globe at Pacific Place has indoor snowfall, ice skating, local makers and festive drinks on select dates from Nov 27 through Dec 24.

Miracle on 2nd at Rob Roy
2332 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121, USA
Rob Roy goes all in, with decorations everywhere and cocktails served in gloriously ridiculous glassware. It's still Seattle's benchmark because there's a serious cocktail bar under all that tinsel. The food menu is small and the line gets long, so show up early on a weeknight with your whole party. Details: Nov 10–Dec 25. 21+. Mostly walk-in; limited reservations are mainly for larger groups. 2332 2nd Ave.

The Toy Room at Fog Room
1610 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101, USA
Train sets circle the bar, teddy bears float overhead in hot air balloons, and shelves of vintage toys frame the view 16 floors up. This is Fog Room's first holiday pop-up, and there's even a hidden raccoon named Jolly Jimothy. Find him, then ask your bartender about the secret menu. Details: Nov 15–Jan 3, daily 4 p.m.–midnight. Free entry. All ages, but the bar area is 21+. Walk in, or book a table on OpenTable for 1–6 people. Weekly programming includes Tinsel Tuesdays, Sunday Storytime with Santa and a ticketed Saturday drag brunch. Cashless. 1610 2nd Ave, 16th floor.

Rosebay Chalet
1000 1st Ave, Seattle, WA 98104, USA
Hotel 1000's cocktail bar goes alpine again this winter. Last year meant a gingerbread entrance, faux fur by the fire and a chairlift photo op, and the mood is more ski lodge than ornament explosion. Share some fondue, order something warm and make this the main event of a downtown date. Details: Starts Nov 12; closing date not posted. Reservations are the safe move for a planned date. 1000 1st Ave.

Olympic Bar and Founders Club at Fairmont Olympic
411 University St, Seattle, WA 98101, USA
The Fairmont gives you two very different holiday drinks in one building. Olympic Bar sits in the grand decorated lobby, which is also home to the Seattle Festival of Trees through Dec 1. Founders Club hides behind a bookcase, with a dark little room and a deeper spirits list. Details: Festive season runs through Dec 31; holiday bar hours may vary. Olympic Bar takes walk-ins. Founders Club is 21+, seating is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. 411 University St.

Little Festive Lobby Bar at The Edgewater
2411 Alaskan Wy Pier 67, Seattle, WA 98121, USA
Few pop-ups can compete with this setting: a lodge-like lobby over Elliott Bay, a fireplace and water views on a dark Seattle night. The bar returns this December with a new theme, seasonal cocktails and bites from Six Seven Lounge. It's a great pick if you're staying near Pike Place or walking the waterfront. Details: December; exact dates, menu and reservation details are coming. 2411 Alaskan Way.

Elfie's Bar at Christmas Towne
400 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101, USA
Westlake Center's third floor becomes a 22,000-square-foot Christmas world with themed neighborhoods, costumed characters and hourly snowfall. It's built for families with kids ages 3–12, and Elfie's Bar gives the adults something festive to hold. Think weatherproof family outing, not a night out. Details: Select dates, Nov 27–Dec 24. Timed tickets from $16; some activities cost extra Jingles. 400 Pine St, third floor.

Also worth knowing: The Elf Bar. The Elf Bar is the pick for a birthday or office group that wants a structured party, with live elves, trivia, karaoke and a welcome drink. A new team runs it this year and the location is still secret, so read the session terms before you buy. Tickets are non-refundable, food isn't included, and selected Saturday 3 p.m. shows are all ages.
Capitol Hill Christmas Bars
Come here for the louder version of the season. These three are better for adults than mixed-age groups, and they're all walk-in, so an early start makes the night a lot easier.

Christmas Dive Bar and Santa's Speakeasy
1010 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122, USA
This is the pick when you want to fully commit to the bit. The pop-up now lives in the former Havana space, with a rowdy dive bar on the main floor and a chalet-style Santa's Speakeasy upstairs. Fridays and Saturdays are for celebrating, not a quiet date. Details: Returns in November and runs through January; opening date coming. Opens daily at 4 p.m. 21+. No reservations. Private events can close the bar. 1010 E Pike St.

Bait Shop
606 Broadway E, Seattle, WA 98102, USA
This casual Broadway bar's Christmas move is wonderfully specific: hundreds of lights blinking in sync to "Carol of the Bells." Last year the show ran about every hour, with staff working the switches by hand, so tip well. Get a frozen drink, order the fried fish and wait for the room to light up. Details: 2026 show dates are coming. Go early if you need a table. 606 Broadway E.

Sol Liquor Lounge
607 Summit Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102, USA
Sol skips the props and goes all in on one drink. Its aged eggnog is a Seattle holiday tradition, and in past years it's been poured for just the final stretch before Christmas, with a limited run of bottles to go. Treat this as a late-December stop and get there early. Details: Holiday eggnog is returning; follow the bar for 2026 timing and bottle releases. Opens at 5 p.m. 607 Summit Ave E.
Seattle Center, Uptown and South Lake Union
This cluster works best when you want something to do besides sit at a bar. Pair the market with a small Uptown lounge, or head to South Lake Union when the group also needs dinner. The market and Seattle Center's free campus lights are both in our Seattle Christmas lights guide.

Seattle Christmas Market
305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109, USA
It's not a bar, but it's one of the city's best holiday drinking outings, with Glühwein, Bavarian beer, a carousel, live music and snow showers around Fisher Pavilion. The heated Alpen Haus helps when Seattle does Seattle things. Book an early time slot or go early in the season, since weekday evenings and weekends are the busiest. Details: Nov 20–Dec 26; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and closes at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Timed tickets run $6.99–$10.99 in the opening weeks and $19.99–$21.99 in peak December. No re-entry. Cashless. 305 Harrison St.

The Sitting Room
108 W Roy St, Seattle, WA 98119, USA
This small Uptown lounge is the antidote to a giant branded pop-up. Past seasons brought a Home Alone takeover, holiday movies, eggnog and a warmly cluttered living-room feel. It's best for two to four people and makes a great finish after the market. Details: 2026 dates and menu are coming. 21+. Cashless. Open Tuesday–Saturday. 108 W Roy St.

La Palmera Christmas Cantina
901 Mercer St, Seattle, WA 98109, USA
The whole room gets cascades of lights and kitschy decor, and you still get a full Mexican menu. Order Santa's Piñata Punch or a Frosty Coconut Margarita and let everyone eat. It's the easiest pick here for coworkers, families and mixed groups. Details: All December. Family-friendly, but the Cantina bar area is 21+. Reserve on Resy, or ask about private rooms for a party. 901 Mercer St.
Ballard, Fremont and West Seattle Holiday Bars
These are neighborhood nights, not stops on a downtown crawl. Pick one area and have dinner nearby. Skål and Dreamland also run deals in our Seattle happy hours guide, and Skål takes bigger bookings, covered in our bars for large groups guide.

Frosted & Fizzy by Aluel Cellars
1528 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107, USA
Après by Aluel turns into an alpine sparkling-wine lounge, with global bubbles, mulled wine and rotating pours. This is the right call when your group would rather split a bottle than work through a list of sweet themed cocktails. It's back for a second season. Details: 2026 hours and reservation details are coming. 1528 NW Market St.

Skål Beer Hall
5429 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA
This Viking-inspired Ballard tavern doesn't need a pop-up to feel right in December. Last year it hung Jul decorations and poured gløgg by the fire, and the stone fireplace and long communal tables do the rest. Come with a few friends and stay awhile. Details: 2026 holiday plans are coming. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Reserve on OpenTable. 5429 Ballard Ave NW.

Dreamland Bar & Diner
3401 Evanston Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103, USA
Fremont's disco-ball diner doesn't do subtle, and its holiday drinks aren't an afterthought. Look for aged Dream-Nog, spiced hot chocolate and a bacon-fat-washed whiskey drink called You Don't Smell Like Santa. Last December also brought a monthlong drag series, so check what's on before you go. Details: Full 2026 decor and event calendar coming; confirm the holiday menu for your date. 3401 Evanston Ave N.

Otter on the Rocks
4210 SW Admiral Wy, Seattle, WA 98116, USA
This cocktail-first Admiral bar has promised a bigger, cozier holiday season this year, and its brown-butter spiced Old Fashioned is already back. Last year's holiday menu and decorations started in mid-November and ran through New Year's Eve. Add piano, comedy and community events, and it's an easy West Seattle night. Details: 2026 holiday details are coming. 21+. Tuesday–Thursday 4 p.m.–midnight; Friday–Saturday 4 p.m.–1 a.m. 4210 SW Admiral Way.

Poggie Tavern
4717 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116, USA
The Junction's old-school dive goes all in on lights, inside and out. Last year's calendar included pajama karaoke, holiday trivia, Christmas Sweater Bingo and a New Year's Eve party. Come for neighborhood chaos, not craft cocktails. Details: 2026 plans are coming. 4717 California Ave SW.
