The Crescent Fort Worth Wedding Cost: Prices & Capacity (2027)
The Crescent prices weddings per guest, from $219 to $299 before service and fees, with a glass Conservatory, a 300-seat ballroom and 200 rooms upstairs. Here's what the full bill looks like, how the rooms work and where everyone sleeps.

The Crescent is a contemporary hotel on Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth's Cultural District, across the lawn from the Kimbell Art Museum. Its wedding draw is a pairing you rarely find in one building: a glass-roofed Conservatory full of daylight and a separate 4,000-square-foot ballroom, with 200 rooms and suites upstairs. (Not to be confused with Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas.)
Weddings are priced per guest rather than by rental. Four packages run from $219 to $299 per person, with a 25% service charge, a 10% event fee and tax on top. This guide covers what that adds up to, how the rooms work at your guest count, what happens in the rain and how to run the weekend.

The RoamRecs Take
The Crescent's advantage is that the indoor plan is the good plan. Most Texas venues sell you a lawn and keep a ballroom in reserve for bad weather. Here the Conservatory gives you glass, sky and greenery without exposure to heat, wind or storms, and the Ballroom sits next door for dinner and dancing. Vows under the glass roof, dinner in the Ballroom, and nobody checks the forecast.
It's a hotel wedding, and that's the point. Guests can walk from their rooms to the ceremony, the rehearsal dinner can happen at Emilia's downstairs, and brunch is an elevator ride away. The setting is modern and art-filled rather than Western, which sets it apart from a Stockyards wedding at Hotel Drover or the more ranch-inflected Bowie House a few blocks away.
The sweet spot is 150 to 200 guests. Both main rooms seat far more on paper, but at that size the band, bars and dance floor fit comfortably. The pinch point is cocktail hour: with the Conservatory set for the ceremony and the Ballroom set for dinner, the Gallery holds 140 standing, so a larger wedding needs a second holding space or a reset plan.
Is it good value? Renoir, the package most couples should start from, comes to about $336 per guest before tax once service and the event fee are added, with five hours of open bar and a plated three-course dinner. That's in line with Dallas's top hotels, and the rooms upstairs save you a shuttle budget. Couples who want their own caterer, a lawn-and-tent party or an open-ended afterparty should look elsewhere.
Best for: 150 to 200 guests who want a glass-and-ballroom wedding with the whole weekend at one address.
Think twice if: You want a private estate, outside catering or more than 270 seated in either main room.

How Much Does a Crescent Fort Worth Wedding Cost?
There's no separate venue rental line in the packages. You pay per guest for food and open bar, then a 25% service charge and a 10% event fee, then tax. Ask the sales team what the 10% event fee covers and which rooms it includes when they quote your date.
| Package | Per guest | With service and event fee, before tax | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rembrandt | $219 | $295.65 | Cocktail hour, two-course plated dinner, four hours of open bar |
| Renoir | $249 | $336.15 | Adds a reception display and a third course; five hours of bar |
| Van Gogh | $279 | $376.65 | Premium cocktail bar, upgraded dinner bar, two displays, wine service with dinner |
| Picasso | $299 | $403.65 | Stations reception with carving, action and dessert stations; five hours of bar |
Renoir is the place to start. It gets you a plated three-course dinner and five hours of bar for $30 a head more than Rembrandt. Van Gogh is the upgrade for couples who care about what's in the glass: a premium cocktail-hour bar, the higher dinner bar tier and tableside wine. Picasso isn't simply the best of everything; it swaps the plated dinner for stations and keeps the standard bar, so choose it for the format, not the price.
Every package includes passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, coffee and tea, and the inclusions in the next section. Food-and-beverage minimums, ceremony fees and room charges are set per date, so get them in the written proposal, along with the deposit schedule, cancellation terms and the room-block contract. Texas taxes mandatory service charges above 20%, so ask for the tax calculation too.
Estimated Wedding Budget
These are RoamRecs planning ranges for an April or October Saturday on the Renoir package, with service charge and event fee included, an independent planner, a DJ, flowers, photography and video, a rehearsal dinner and a farewell brunch. They exclude tax, guest rooms, any room or ceremony charges in your proposal, attire and rings.
| Guests | Food and bar (Renoir) | Typical total |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $33,615 | $70,000 to $115,000 |
| 150 | $50,423 | $95,000 to $145,000 |
| 200 | $67,230 | $120,000 to $175,000 |
| Category | Indicative range, 150 guests |
|---|---|
| Renoir package with service and event fee | $50,423 |
| Planner and day-of coordination | $7,000 to $12,000 |
| Flowers and design | $7,000 to $18,000 |
| Photography and video | $8,500 to $15,000 |
| DJ, emcee and ceremony audio | $4,000 to $6,000 |
| Lighting and furniture upgrades | $4,500 to $12,500 |
| Rehearsal dinner (40) and farewell brunch (75) | $8,000 to $13,000 |
| Cake, officiant, license and shuttles | $3,000 to $6,500 |
The line couples underestimate is the percentage charges. Service and the event fee add 35% to every food and drink decision, so a $10 upgrade per guest is really $13.50, and $2,025 at 150 guests. The second is design: the photos you'll see from this hotel usually include ceiling installations and specialty furniture, which sit well outside the packages.
What Every Package Includes
All four packages include the same foundation, which is why a straight rental comparison with other venues undersells The Crescent:
- A guest room for the couple on the wedding night
- A dedicated menu-planning manager and a tasting for six
- Group rates for a guest room block
- House tables, linens, white napkins, white china, glassware and cutlery
- A wood dance floor
- Cake cutting and service
- Reduced valet rates for guests
What's not included: the cake itself, a suite (the wedding-night room is a standard guest room unless you upgrade), an independent planner, ceremony chairs and décor beyond the house inventory, and anything that hangs from the ceiling.
Capacity and Event Spaces
| Space | Best use | Seated dinner | Standing | Indoor/outdoor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Conservatory | Ceremony or dinner under glass | 270 | 350 | Indoor, glass-enclosed |
| Crescent Ballroom | Dinner and dancing | 300 | 400 | Indoor, doors to the courtyard |
| The Gallery | Cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner | 100 | 140 | Indoor, overlooking the Kimbell lawn |
| Emilia's Blue Room | Rehearsal or family dinner | 48 | Indoor | |
| Emilia's Chef's Table and Wine Room | Small family dinners | 18 and 12 | Indoor |
The Conservatory is the room people book this hotel for: 4,270 square feet under a glass roof with 16-foot ceilings, climate-controlled, with sliding doors to the patio and rigging points for installations. It works as well for the ceremony as for dinner, but resist draping it heavily, because the glass is the point.
The Ballroom is 4,000 square feet with floor-to-ceiling doors to the courtyard and divides into smaller sections for a 60- to 140-person event. For a wedding of 40 to 100, start with the Gallery or a divided Ballroom rather than paying to fill a full room.
The usual flow is ceremony in the Conservatory, cocktails in the Gallery and courtyard, then dinner and dancing in the Ballroom. Above about 140 guests, plan where everyone stands for cocktails before you sign. Both main rooms are listed for far more seated guests than most weddings need, but ask for a drawn layout with the band, bars and dance floor in place at your count.
What Is the Rain Plan at The Crescent?
This is the strongest rain plan in Fort Worth, because nothing important was outside to begin with. The Conservatory is enclosed and climate-controlled, and the Ballroom is a standard indoor room, so a storm costs you a courtyard cocktail hour and some patio portraits, nothing more. The only thing to settle is that both rooms (and the Gallery, if you need it for cocktails) are held for you all day, not just for their slot in the timeline. North Texas spring storms bring lightning as well as rain, so ask how and when the hotel moves guests in from the patio and courtyard.
Accommodation and Where Guests Should Stay
Guests can stay at the venue, and most should. The Crescent has 200 rooms including 12 suites, with king and two-queen layouts and accessible rooms, and offers group rates for a wedding block. Ask for the block size, cutoff date and any guarantee on unbooked rooms in the contract. Each reservation also carries a $20 nightly destination fee plus tax, worth negotiating into the block.
Check-in is 4 p.m. and checkout is noon, so the included wedding-night room won't be ready for morning hair and makeup. Book a suite from the night before for getting ready; the suites have separate living areas and some connect to a second room.
For overflow, keep everyone close:
| Hotel | Why stay here | To The Crescent |
|---|---|---|
| Residence Inn Fort Worth Cultural District | Suites with kitchens and free breakfast; good for families | 5 to 10 minutes by car |
| Hotel Dryce | 21 rooms in a converted dry-ice warehouse; a small overflow group | 5 to 10 minutes by car |
| Omni Fort Worth Hotel | 618 rooms downtown; a large second block | 10 to 15 minutes by car |
The weekend runs itself at a hotel like this: a rehearsal dinner at Emilia's or in the Gallery on Friday, the wedding on Saturday and a farewell brunch in the Gallery on Sunday. Guests have the Kimbell, the Modern and the Amon Carter within walking distance, and the Stockyards are a 10-minute drive for a Saturday-morning outing.
Catering, Vendors and the Party
Food and drink come from the hotel, and the packages set the menu format and bar tier. Ask for the current menus and liquor lists with your proposal, and how children, non-drinkers and vendor meals are priced. Treat outside catering and outside alcohol as off the table unless the contract says otherwise; outside cakes need the hotel's sign-off.
Budget for an independent planner. The hotel's menu-planning manager runs food, beverage and rooms, not your florist, band or transport. Production teams should confirm load-in and strike windows, rigging approvals and power before they quote, especially for Conservatory installations.
The packages give you four or five hours of open bar, but that isn't a curfew. Get the last call, last song and guests-out times for each room in the contract, and what an extra hour costs.
One rule to know early: professional photography and video are allowed in your booked event spaces and guest rooms, but not in the lobby, restaurants or other public areas. The museum lawns across the street belong to the museums, so a Kimbell portrait session needs the museum's own permission.
Ceremony Options and Legal Requirements
Vows happen in the Conservatory, in a section of the Ballroom or, in good weather, on an approved courtyard layout. For a chapel ceremony, TCU's Robert Carr Chapel hosts weddings beyond the university community and is about 10 to 15 minutes away by car.
A wedding here is legal with a Texas marriage license and an authorized officiant. Tarrant County charges $76, or $16 with a state-approved premarital course, plus $100 if neither of you can prove Texas residency. There's a 72-hour wait after issue, waived with the premarital course certificate, and the license is valid for 90 days, so couples flying in should pick it up at least three days before a Saturday wedding.
Getting There and Transportation
| From | Best route | Time |
|---|---|---|
| DFW International Airport | Car or shuttle | 30 to 45 minutes |
| DFW by train | TEXRail from Terminal B to Fort Worth Central ($2), then a short ride | About 75 minutes door to door |
| Dallas Love Field | Car | 45 to 70 minutes |
| Downtown Fort Worth | Car | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Stockyards | Car | 10 to 15 minutes |
Do wedding guests need a car? Not if they stay at The Crescent. The hotel can arrange airport cars through its concierge, and a complimentary house car covers trips within three miles on a first-come basis, which reaches the museums and the West 7th restaurants. Guests in an overflow hotel need a ride, so run a shuttle loop for the wedding night. Guests driving themselves use valet at a reduced wedding rate; decide whether you're hosting it.
Check your date against big events at Dickies Arena and Will Rogers Memorial Center next door, the Stock Show & Rodeo's January to February run and TCU home football. All of them fill hotels and slow traffic on Camp Bowie.
Best Time of Year for a Crescent Wedding
April and October are the picks: warm days, mild evenings and a real chance at a courtyard cocktail hour. Because the main rooms are indoors, The Crescent is also one of the few venues where a July or August wedding works well, so long as portraits stay short and in the shade. May and October are the wettest months, which matters less here than almost anywhere else. Winter weddings work too; the Conservatory is at its best on a clear, cold evening.

Best For / Things to Consider
Best for: Weddings of 150 to 200 guests who want an indoor plan that doesn't feel like a backup, a modern, art-filled setting rather than a Western one, and the whole weekend at one address. Also a strong summer option in a region where outdoor venues struggle from June to September.
Things to consider: It's a hotel, not a private estate, and other guests and events share the building. Catering is in-house, a 35% combined service charge and event fee sits on every food and drink line, and professional photos are limited to your booked spaces. Above 140 guests, cocktail hour needs a plan.
Questions to Ask Before Booking
- What is the full proposal for our date, including any food-and-beverage minimum, room charges and ceremony fee?
- What does the 10% event fee cover, and is the 25% service charge calculated on the package price alone?
- Can we hold the Conservatory, Ballroom and Gallery all day, and is anything else booked nearby that evening?
- Where do all our guests stand for cocktails if the Conservatory is set for the ceremony and the Ballroom for dinner?
- Can we see a drawn dinner layout at our count with the band, bars and dance floor in place?
- What are last call, last song and guests-out times for each room, and what does an extra hour cost?
- How big is the room block, when is the cutoff, and are we liable for unbooked rooms? Can the destination fee be waived?
- Can we book a getting-ready suite from the night before, and at what rate?
- What are the load-in, rigging and strike rules for Conservatory installations?
- What are the deposit schedule, cancellation and postponement terms?
Similar Wedding Venues to Compare
- Bowie House, Fort Worth: a smaller Auberge hotel a few blocks away with 106 rooms and a 200-seat Silverton room. Better for a Western-luxe look at a slightly smaller count.
- Hotel Drover, Fort Worth Stockyards: a reclaimed-timber Barn seating 250 for dinner. Better when the Stockyards and Texas character are the point of the weekend.
- Omni Fort Worth Hotel, downtown: 618 rooms and much larger ballrooms. Better for a guest list or room block beyond what The Crescent can hold.
- The Room on Main, downtown Dallas: a window-lined ballroom seating up to 320, with hotels a short walk away. Better for a bigger party in Dallas at a lower rental cost.
