Best Thanksgiving Takeout and Catering in NYC (2026)
Turkey dinners for one to twenty, smoked birds, Peking-style turkey, a Cuban spread and the pie to finish, with 2026 prices and pickup dates.

Thanksgiving is a lovely day to host and a fairly unreasonable day to cook everything yourself. A turkey commandeers the oven, the potatoes need attention, and someone still has to find room in the refrigerator for two pies. Ordering some or all of dinner can give you back the part you actually wanted: a long meal with people you like.
New York has plenty of ways to do it. You can order a traditional spread with stuffing and gravy, collect a smoked bird from a barbecue restaurant, bring home Peking-style turkey with pancakes, or let a caterer handle a Friendsgiving for twenty. The best choice depends on how many people are eating, how much kitchen space you have, and whether you want a complete dinner or just help with the difficult parts.
Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026. We lead with the places that have 2026 menus out, then cover the favorites still to announce. Prices are menu prices before tax and delivery unless a fee is specifically included.
We'll keep adding menus as they land through November.
Where to start: NYC Thanksgiving takeout at a glance
| If you want | Start with | Why it makes the shortlist |
|---|---|---|
| A complete traditional feast | Dish Food and Events | $595 package for ten, with delivery and optional extra help |
| Dinner that can arrive hot | Bread and Honey | An explicit hot, ready-to-serve option |
| A small Brooklyn Thanksgiving | Hudson Table | A fully cooked $165 meal sized for four |
| A turkey plus your own family sides | BKLYN Larder or Eli Zabar | Cooked birds and separate dishes you can mix and match |
| Smoked turkey at an approachable price | Dinosaur Bar-B-Que or Pig Beach | $150 half-turkey and $275 full-feast packages, with serious oven time to allow |
| A less traditional centerpiece | Hutong or Havana Central | Peking-style turkey or a Cuban holiday spread |
| An office meal or a larger Friendsgiving | Mangia or Epic | Catering formats that suit groups, delivered across the city |
| Dinner for one or a kosher meal | Talia's Steakhouse | A $54 individual turkey dinner alongside a larger prix fixe |
| Fried chicken and biscuits for a crowd | Pies 'n' Thighs | A $300 party order for pickup by November 25 |
The sections below explain what each order includes and who it suits. Use the map to find a convenient pickup first; a nearby collection point can matter more than a famous name when you are carrying dinner for ten.
Traditional Thanksgiving dinners to bring home in NYC
These are the orders to start with when you want turkey, the expected accompaniments and dessert handled by someone else, from a ten-person package to a dinner sized for four or a roasted bird you build around.

Dish Food & Events
42-25C Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA
A substantial package with most of the decisions already made. The $595 package serves ten and includes a roasted turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry-orange sauce, rolls, three chosen sides and both caramel apple and spiced pumpkin pies; add five more guests for $295 and carving for $40, worth it if carving in front of a roomful of guests is part of what you were hoping to outsource. Collect free from Long Island City, or pay $75 for Wednesday delivery and $150 for Thanksgiving morning; orders placed by October 31 get free Wednesday delivery within NYC. The meal comes cold with heating instructions, so leave yourself kitchen time.

Bread & Honey
941 8th Ave, New York, NY 10019, USA
The Hell's Kitchen market's turkey dinner can be ordered hot and ready to serve, which makes it the option for anyone with a tiny oven, a temporary kitchen, or no desire to spend Thanksgiving reheating trays. The $335 dinner includes turkey advertised for eight to ten, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, two chosen sides and an apple or pumpkin pie; carving adds $25, and a $225 turkey-with-trimmings order exists if someone else is bringing potatoes and dessert. Look at the side quantities before assuming the turkey's serving range settles the whole order. Delivery charges depend on the address; the ordering cutoff is Sunday, November 22 at 3 p.m., Thursday deliveries end at 1 p.m., and you need to choose the hot option explicitly.

Hudson Table Brooklyn
88 Withers St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA
One of the most appealing small-household formats in the lineup: a fully cooked dinner for four at $165, about $41 a head, with reheating and serving instructions. The menu stays close to tradition but gives the supporting dishes some attention: brined turkey with gravy and cranberry chutney, brioche stuffing, roasted garlic and caramelized onion mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower gratin, a fall spinach salad, potato rolls and pumpkin cheesecake bars. Pickup is in Williamsburg on Wednesday, November 25 from 2 to 5:45 p.m. or Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.; select a slot when booking. For a couple who enjoy leftovers, a far more manageable proposition than a dinner for ten.

BKLYN Larder
228 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA
You don't have to buy Thanksgiving as a single, immovable package. BKLYN Larder makes sense when you want someone else to handle the turkey while you keep your mother's stuffing or the one pie you actually enjoy baking. The $125 cooked turkey roll is especially practical: white and dark meat wrapped around stuffing, six to eight servings, straightforward slicing. A $225 whole roast turkey is the other option, and gravy, cranberry sauce, potatoes and sides are sold separately with their own yields. Everything comes cold for reheating. Pickup at 228 Flatbush Avenue on November 25 or 26; scheduled Wednesday deliveries to Brooklyn and Queens through checkout, other boroughs by arrangement.
Eli Zabar Catering
431 E 91st St, New York, NY 10128, USA
Eli Zabar's catering pickup, at the East 91st Street kitchen rather than the store. Useful when the turkey is the job you most want to avoid: a roasted 14-to-16-pound bird is $210 and a 22-to-24-pound bird is $315, plus a roasted boneless breast if you'd rather skip carving. Stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables and pies are priced separately, which suits a mixed homemade-and-ordered dinner but means the turkey price is only the beginning. Be sure to choose the roasted bird; the menu also sells raw, oven-ready turkeys. Pickup is Wednesday, November 25, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a $50 minimum, and the catering operation is closed on Thanksgiving Day. This is Eli Zabar, a separate business from Zabar's on Broadway.
Smoked turkey and Thanksgiving dinners with a different point of view
Smoked birds, Peking-style turkey and a Cuban spread, for tables that want Thanksgiving to revolve around turkey without being the same meal as last year. Two of these need real oven time on Thursday, so read the heating notes before you commit.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
700 W 125th St, New York, NY 10027, USA
Smoked turkey at a relatively modest package price. The Half Turkey Deluxe is $150 for three to five people with half a pit-roasted turkey, gravy, cornbread stuffing, whipped sweet potatoes and a pie; the $275 full package serves eight to twelve with two pies, and key lime or chocolate icebox will suit a table that has had enough pumpkin by late November. The crucial planning detail is the bird: it arrives partially smoked and needs about three hours in the oven to finish, so this won't solve a no-oven Thanksgiving. Pickup at the Harlem restaurant on Tuesday, November 24 or Wednesday, November 25, after the catering team confirms your request. The menu's "Flying Solo" is a whole turkey without the full dinner, not a meal for one.

Pig Beach BBQ Queens
35-37 36th St Ground Floor, Astoria, NY 11106, USA
Astoria's barbecue Thanksgiving. The 2026 Full Feast is $275 for ten to twelve: a 16-to-18-pound whole smoked turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, a choice of two sides and one pie. Smaller tables can build from the a la carte list instead, with a $125 whole smoked turkey, a $75 smoked turkey breast for six to eight, $75 half-pan sides (mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing) and $35 key lime or chocolate pecan pies. Everything arrives cold with reheating instructions, and the holiday heating guide allows roughly two and a half to three hours for a whole bird. Pickup is Wednesday, November 25 only; the restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Hutong
Inside Beacon Courtyard, 731 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10022, USA
For people who would be happier passing pancakes than carving at the table. Hutong gives the holiday bird a Peking-style treatment with pancakes, scallions, cucumber and cranberry sauce. The Thanksgiving Deluxe is $198 for two to three people or $388 for four to six, with pomelo salad, chicken dumplings, lobster bao, Chinese broccoli and the chef's fried rice alongside; that smaller size makes it especially interesting for a couple who want dinner to feel like an occasion. A $248 whole Peking turkey order includes the accompaniments and a second ma-la turkey course. Manhattan delivery is available, the ordering deadline is noon on Wednesday, November 25, and you should confirm the collection or delivery slot when booking.

Havana Central Times Square
151 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036, USA
A Cuban Thanksgiving, or a Friendsgiving before the holiday. Take-home bundles come sized for four or ten with a choice of centerpiece: herb-and-mojo roasted turkey breast ($116 for four, $269 for ten), pernil (from $116), ropa vieja (from $156), mango salmon (from $110) or herb-roasted chicken (from $89), each with chorizo stuffing, candied yams, roasted vegetables, cranberry salsita and pumpkin flan. Pernil and flan can make a very persuasive case for changing the usual plan. Bundles run November 16 through 26 with 48 hours' notice, pickup or delivery from the Times Square restaurant; the earlier window is useful if you're hosting friends the weekend before.
Friendsgiving catering, Thanksgiving dinner for one, and pie
Fried chicken for a Friendsgiving crowd, a proper kosher dinner for one, and the pie to finish any of the meals above.

Pies 'n' Thighs (Williamsburg)
166 S 4th St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA
If turkey is the least exciting part of Thanksgiving for your group, this is the way around it. The $300 Fried Chicken and Classic Sides package is advertised for fifteen to twenty and includes forty pieces of chicken, arugula salad, two sides, twenty biscuits, honey butter and hot sauce; whole pies are $45. It suits a relaxed gathering where people will happily eat from a plate balanced on a knee. The serving range is the restaurant's estimate, so think about the actual chicken count for a hungry group. Holiday pickup and delivery run through November 25, so collect before Thanksgiving Day. There's a second pickup in Park Slope on Flatbush Avenue; both are on the map.

Talia's Steakhouse and Bar
668 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA
So many Thanksgiving packages begin at six or ten people that a proper dinner for one deserves its own mention. Talia's, the kosher steakhouse on Amsterdam Avenue, offers a $54 turkey dinner with white and dark meat, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet mashed potatoes and vegetables; the $108 takeout prix fixe adds the four-course structure of soup, appetizer, entree and dessert. Both pickup and delivery are offered, with longer-distance delivery arranged at the customer's expense. For anyone staying in a hotel or eating without a full kitchen, confirm the order will be ready to eat when it reaches you, and ask about specific ingredients if your table has other dietary requirements.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds
439 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USA
If dessert is already included in your meal, you may be done. If not, this is a strong Brooklyn stop for a pie that can hold its own at the end of the meal: 2026 Thanksgiving pies are $46, ten inches across and serve eight to ten, with salted caramel apple and brown butter pumpkin among the choices. Thanksgiving-week delivery has already sold out, so plan on pickup at the Gowanus shop, with holiday collection dates November 22 through 26 and Thanksgiving Day hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thanksgiving catering delivered across NYC without a pickup
Three of the most useful options have no single pickup point, so they don't appear on the map. They're worth planning around if the biggest favor you can do yourself is avoid a separate trip, or if you're feeding an office.
FreshDirect
FreshDirect. For having dinner delivered with the rest of the groceries. This year's prepared meals come sized for two to four, six to eight, and eight to twelve. The smallest uses a turkey breast; larger packages use whole birds, with gravy, cranberry sauce, garlic green beans and a choice of additional sides. The food is fully cooked but still needs heating, and the whole birds need carving. Preorders open October 29, with prepared-meal delivery scheduled for November 23 through 26. Prices come out when ordering opens, so reserve a delivery slot then.
Mangia
Mangia. Classic turkey without a ten-person minimum. Thanksgiving catering starts at six people: a whole 12-to-14-pound roasted turkey, advertised for six to eight, is $225, and sliced turkey or a spinach-and-pepper turkey roulade is $26 per person, with gravy and two chosen sides included. Pies are extra. Build in the 12% service and administration fee: the $225 turkey becomes $252 before tax and delivery, and adding a $42 nine-inch pie brings those items to $299.04. Delivery across the five boroughs, with fees depending on the address, which makes Mangia the first call for a Bronx or Staten Island table.
Epic Catering and Events
Epic Catering and Events. For twelve or more without negotiating everyone's favorite side. The 2026 menu is a broad, familiar buffet: sliced turkey and apricot-glazed ham, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, salad and a dessert choice. $49.95 per person with a twelve-person minimum, plus a 10% delivery charge and a separate 10% administration charge on the food subtotal, so twelve people is $719.28 before tax rather than $599.40. Available November 1 through 30, which suits an early office lunch or a post-holiday gathering. Manhattan is the standard delivery area; ask for a quote for the other boroughs, and sort out heating or serving needs if the office kitchen is one microwave.
NYC Thanksgiving favorites still to announce 2026 menus
Some of the most interesting choices are restaurants and markets people already love, and not every one has a 2026 menu out yet. These deserve a place in your planning, with one quick check of the current holiday details before you commit. Two of them, LifeThyme and Seitan's Helper, are the specialists to watch if you're ordering for vegans; for a larger mixed-diet table, Dish's menu above includes a vegan carrot Wellington and an Impossible shepherd's pie at $60 for five servings, subject to its $595 minimum. Whatever you order, ask about the actual dishes: vegetable sides can contain butter or stock, stuffing can contain sausage, and a pie's filling tells you little about its crust.

Jacob's Pickles
680 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA
Hearty Upper West Side comfort food with a 2026 Thanksgiving takeout announcement, and a strong place to begin if your idea of the holiday leans that way. Menu, prices and pickup details are still to come; pickup is at the Columbus Avenue restaurant.

Maison Pickle
2315 Broadway, New York, NY 10024, USA
Jacob's Pickles' sister restaurant on Broadway also advertises 2026 Thanksgiving takeout. Menus, prices and pickup details are still to come.

Frenchette
241 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013, USA
For a splurge that brings a restaurant occasion to your own table. Frenchette is doing Thanksgiving again in 2026; the full package and pickup details are still to come.

Aquavit
65 E 55th St, New York, NY 10022, USA
In past years, Aquavit's Thanksgiving to-go has been a dinner for four built around roasted turkey breast and smoked leg, with the accompaniments and dessert. Watch for the 2026 package before planning around it.

Bubby's
120 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013, USA
Worth watching for a traditional meal suited to a smaller household. Its previous Thanksgiving takeout format was designed for two, with a full spread to reheat at home. Watch for this year's menu.

Butterfield Market
1150 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10028, USA
A useful name for individual dinners, a few prepared dishes, or an entire feast. Its previous holiday menu covered all three, which makes it especially relevant if some guests are cooking and others are contributing takeout. Confirm which Butterfield location handles holiday pickup when you order.

Citarella
1313 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10021, USA
Citarella has offered complete meals as well as an "Everything But the Turkey" format, the package to seek out if you enjoy roasting a bird but would happily delegate the side dishes. Check for the 2026 menu in early November and confirm pickup at your nearest store.

Zabar's
2245 Broadway, New York, NY 10024, USA
Another classic Upper West Side option to check for a fully cooked feast. Use its local Thanksgiving catering menu for NYC pickup and delivery; nationwide shipments are separate products.

Agata & Valentina
1505 1st Ave, New York, NY 10075, USA
Worth checking for both its traditional Thanksgiving menu and its separate gluten-free offering. The distinction matters: a gluten-free menu does not make every dish in the regular feast gluten-free.

LifeThyme Natural Market
410 6th Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA
The vegan specialist to watch as this year's holiday menus arrive. Its Thanksgiving menu has included a Vegan Harvest Roast combining lentils, brown rice, kabocha squash, cauliflower, mushrooms and pumpkin seeds, with vegan stuffing and pies also listed. Choose the explicitly vegan version of dishes such as mashed potatoes, since the market also makes versions with dairy.

Seitan's Helper
2 Morgan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA
For a vegan roast, keep an eye on this Bushwick deli, which makes its own seitan and offers catering. Watch for its 2026 Thanksgiving menu.
How to order the right amount of Thanksgiving takeout
Compare complete orders
A turkey-only price can look much cheaper than a dinner that includes six accompaniments and dessert. Before comparing totals, write down the whole table: main, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, bread and dessert. Then remove anything a guest is bringing or you actually want to make. Dish includes two pies, Bread and Honey includes one, and Eli Zabar sells the components separately. Mangia's fee and Epic's two charges belong in the comparison too. A final checkout total is more useful than an attractive starting price.
Decide how much of Thursday you want back
There are three different experiences hidden inside "Thanksgiving takeout": food ordered hot, cooked food that needs reheating, and a bird that still needs to finish cooking. Bread and Honey explicitly offers the first; most choices here offer the second; Dinosaur's and Pig Beach's turkeys fall into the third. If you have one small oven, ask for the heating instructions before buying a whole bird and four large trays, and consider sliced turkey or a turkey roll if that will make serving easier. If you have no usable kitchen, choose a confirmed hot meal with a suitable delivery or pickup time.
Buy for the appetite you know
"Serves six to eight" is a useful estimate, not a promise that eight hungry adults will all leave with sandwiches for Friday. Use the smaller end of the range if leftovers are part of your plan, and look at the side-dish quantities as carefully as the turkey. For a small table, a turkey breast, a meal for four or an individual dinner can be more enjoyable than spending the weekend working through an enormous bird. For a potluck, ordering the main and gravy may be all the help you need.
Choose the pickup before planning the rest of the day
Wednesday collection gives you more freedom on Thursday, provided the food fits in your refrigerator. Thursday collection reduces overnight storage but ties part of the day to a pickup slot. Delivery saves a trip, but you still need to be home for the window. Book the slot you need when you place the order and save the confirmation with the pickup address, since holiday collection can happen at a catering kitchen rather than the storefront you know. For an earlier Friendsgiving, start with the businesses publishing a broader November schedule: Epic, Havana Central and Pies 'n' Thighs.
