A good Hanukkah order should leave you with a full table, not a second cooking project. Sometimes that means brisket, soup and enough latkes for the whole family. Sometimes it means smoked salmon, bagels and a tray of something hot. And sometimes the smart move is to cook dinner yourself and outsource every last potato pancake.
This guide covers all three, from dinner for two to a staffed party, and the table below shows which kitchens are certified kosher. Hanukkah 2026 starts at sundown on Friday, December 4, and ends Saturday night, December 12. The first and eighth nights both land on a Friday, when sundown comes around 4:30 p.m., so settle those pickups first. Some 2026 holiday menus are still coming, so confirm your date and final menu when you order.

Complete Hanukkah Dinners and Full-Service Catering
These kitchens can handle the whole meal, from a set dinner for six to a staffed party.

2nd Ave Deli
162 E 33rd St, New York, NY 10016, USA
Roast chicken platters, chopped liver and mini latkes with apple cover most of a family table, and noodle kugel and babka finish it. The mini latkes need a call ahead and a 24-piece minimum. Platters come cold, so ask about reheating when you order. The deli is certified kosher. Order: 212-689-9000 (Murray Hill) or 212-737-1700 (Upper East Side).

Liebman's Deli
552 W 235th St, Bronx, NY 10463, USA
The Complete Jewish Delicatessen Dinner feeds 10 for $395, with two appetizers, two mains, two sides, coleslaw, pickles and rye. Go with brisket and roast chicken. Latkes aren't one of the sides, so add the à la carte tray at $42 for six. Some dishes need 36 hours' notice, and delivery adds an 8% gratuity. Liebman's is the Bronx's last kosher deli and stays open on Shabbat, so ask about supervision if that matters at your table. Order: 718-548-4534. Call Riverdale, not the Ardsley restaurant.

Ben's Kosher Delicatessen
211-37 26th Ave, Bay Terrace, NY 11360, USA
The roast brisket dinner feeds six for $169.74 with gravy, egg barley and mushrooms, vegetable medley, rye, a relish bowl and a deli side salad. Roasted chickens run $143.94 and stuffed cabbage $169.74. Large potato pancakes can replace a side, sometimes at an extra charge, and bigger parties can scale up by arrangement. Order: 718-229-2367.

Mill Basin Deli
5823 Avenue T, Brooklyn, NY 11234, USA
Dinner for 10 is close to a full holiday meal: matzo ball soup, two rotisserie chickens, brisket in gravy, kasha varnishkes, potato salad or mashed potatoes, slaw and rye. Add the 36-piece potato pancake tray and you're done. Mill Basin needs 48 hours' notice and is closed Mondays, so December 7 is out. Order: 718-241-4910.

Talia's Steakhouse
668 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA
This glatt kosher menu goes well past deli food, with Moroccan salmon, Yemenite chicken and potato bourekas alongside latkes, brisket, soups and sufganiyot. Everything is packed cold. You can pick up, get drop-off within 15 blocks, or book full service with servers and china. The regular menu stops at 5 p.m. on Fridays, and the restaurant reopens about an hour after Shabbat on Saturdays. Order: 212-580-3770 or info@taliassteakhouse.com.

BKLYN Larder
228 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA
This is the pick for a planned, oven-ready dinner. The December menu covers latkes at $55 a dozen, braised brisket at $95, whole roast chicken at $30 and matzo ball soup at $25, and the food arrives cold with reheating instructions. Order at least 48 hours ahead, and expect a 10% gratuity on catering items. Manhattan delivery takes a separate call. Order: catering@bklynlarder.com.

Eli Zabar
1411 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10028, USA
Eli's suits a host who wants one team handling soup, mains, small bites and dessert. Past Hanukkah menus have included brisket, roast chicken, regular and mini potato pancakes and jelly doughnuts. Ask for the 2026 menu before you budget. Eli's isn't kosher, and it's a separate business from Zabar's on Broadway. Order: 212-717-8100, ext. 9.

Grace's Marketplace
1299 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10065, USA
Grace's works for a mixed order when guests are bringing some of the food. First-cut brisket and mini potato pancakes, with sweet potato available, sit on the regular catering menu, and past holiday menus have added matzo ball soup, kugel and tsimmes. The team can also supply waiters and rentals. Its Kosher Style Dinner isn't certified, and Greenvale menus don't apply to the Manhattan store. Order: 212-737-0600 or GracesCaterNYC@gmail.com.

Red Table Catering
631 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA
Once the guest list calls for staff, rentals or a bar, you've outgrown a takeout order. Red Table caters Chanukah with Ashkenazi and Sephardic influences, including latkes, challah and cured or smoked fish. The food is kosher-style and Red Table doesn't keep a kosher kitchen, so it won't work for guests who need supervision. Catering only, no pickup counter. Order: 718-714-8627. Say whether you need food only, setup or staffed service.

The brisket is gluten-free, but the latkes contain flour and eggs. Order: Mile End's catering menu or 718-852-7510.

PJ Bernstein
1215 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10021, USA

How to Plan Your Hanukkah Order
Order latkes by size, not by the dozen
A tray of mini latkes and a dozen full-size pancakes are very different orders. Plan on two to three full-size latkes per adult alongside dinner, and more for a latke party.
Plan the oven before the pickup
Ask what arrives cold, what arrives hot and what needs your own baking dishes. Latkes reheat best on their own, not under foil with the brisket, so follow the kitchen's instructions.
Settle both Fridays early
Shabbat starts at sundown on December 4 and December 11, and some kitchens close early or shut completely. Lock in a pickup time before you tell guests when to arrive. A week ahead is a sensible target for a large order, even when the posted notice is shorter.
