Las Vegas never runs short on lights. At Christmas, the trick is finding the ones that feel like an occasion: a cactus garden after dark, a parade on a Friday night, or a resort that has gone completely overboard.
Start with Bellagio, pick one bigger outing, and build the rest around where you're staying. There's no prize for crossing the valley to squeeze three light shows into one night. Below are the big holiday displays, the free resort stops, the shopping districts that come alive on event nights, and the parades worth planning around.

Best Christmas Light Displays in Las Vegas
These five are worth building a whole evening around: the free Bellagio Conservatory, Ethel M's cactus garden in Henderson, the Glittering Lights drive-through, Enchant's light maze and Magical Forest for younger kids.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Bellagio Hotel & Casino, 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA
Bellagio is where to start. The holiday Conservatory is a full seasonal installation, with large-scale scenery and floral work filling the indoor garden, and it costs nothing to walk through. Give it 30–45 minutes, then head outside for the fountains, which run year-round. It's open around the clock outside changeovers, so go in the morning or late evening to skip the afternoon crush. Details: November 14, 2026 – January 2, 2027 (closed November 8–13 while the holiday display goes in). Free.

Ethel M Holiday Cactus Garden
2 Cactus Garden Dr, Henderson, NV 89014, USA
More than a million lights wrap through the cacti and desert plants, so the garden itself is the scenery. Add hot chocolate and a stop in the chocolate shop, and the evening needs little else. Plan on about an hour; it's the pick for a simple date night or a shorter family outing. Park in the Ethel M lots or across the street at Smith's. Details: November 5, 2026 – January 3, 2027, from 5 p.m. nightly, usually until 10 p.m. (8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve; closed Christmas Day). $3 per person from November 6; free on opening night and for children under 2 and adults 65+. No reservations needed.

Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
7000 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV 89115, USA
The 2026 route runs three miles through six million LED lights, so the drive is the event, and it works when everyone wants an outing but not everyone wants a long walk. Go Monday through Thursday and arrive before 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday between 6:30 and 8 p.m. are the busiest. Follow the event's own directions (I-15, Exit 54 at Speedway Boulevard), since a generic Speedway pin can send you to the wrong entrance. Details: November 6, 2026 – January 3, 2027, nightly including holidays; 5–9 p.m. Sunday–Thursday, 5–10 p.m. Friday–Saturday. $39 cash or $44 by card per vehicle; Fast Pass $64 on select peak nights; Santa Tram $25 per person on select nights.

Enchant at Las Vegas Ballpark
1650 S Pavilion Center Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89135, USA
Enchant makes the lights the destination: a light maze, illuminated installations, photo settings, a shopping village and entertainment. Book it for a festive date or a group that wants to linger; with younger kids who mostly want rides, compare it with Magical Forest first. Allow two to three hours, and decide on parking, skating, the snow slide and s'mores before you buy, since the lowest advertised price isn't the cost of the night. Details: November 20 – December 27, 2026. From $27 per person, varying by date, entry time and demand.

Magical Forest at Opportunity Village
6300 W Oakey Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146, USA
Magical Forest gives kids something to do between the lights: the Forest Express train, a carousel, the Avalanche Slide, mini-golf and Santa visits. Proceeds support Opportunity Village's work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Make it the whole evening, dress for standing around outside, and pick the rides your kids care about most before joining the first line. Details: November 27–29, December 3–6, December 10–24 and December 26 – January 1 (closed December 7–9 and Christmas Day). 5:30–9 p.m. Sunday–Thursday, 5:30–9:30 p.m. Friday–Saturday; 8:30 p.m. close on December 24 and 31. Date-specific tickets; children 3 and under free; 2026 general admission prices not yet posted.

Free Resort and Indoor Holiday Displays
All three are free to visit and fit around dinner or a show rather than taking the whole night. Oasis charges only if you skate.

Oasis Ice Rink at Fontainebleau
2777 S Las Vegas Blvd Level 2, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA
You don't need to skate to go. The holiday village on Fontainebleau's third-floor pool deck is free to enter, with seasonal food and drinks, photo spots and holiday movies on Tuesdays at 5 and 8 p.m., and the rink itself is the largest stretch of real ice on the Strip. Pair it with dinner on the north Strip, especially when some of the group wants to skate and the rest would rather watch. Details: November 19, 2026 – January 17, 2027, with hours until 2 a.m. November 25–28 and most nights from December 19 to January 2. Free entry; skating from $30 plus taxes and fees ($15 for Nevada residents on select dates and late nights); fire pits for up to six from $200.

The Palazzo Waterfall Atrium
3325 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA
Look for the Waterfall Atrium at The Palazzo specifically, not just any lobby in the Venetian complex. Its seasonal display is an easy add-on to a Strip afternoon or a dinner nearby. Allow 20–30 minutes once it's installed, and go for the setting rather than last year's photos, since the design changes every year. Details: 2026 holiday display dates not yet announced. Free.

Mystic Falls Park at Sam's Town
5111 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV 89122, USA
Sam's Town turns its indoor atrium into a winter wonderland each year, with lit trees, winter decor and a holiday laser light show, a good swap for the outdoor trails on a cold night. Time the visit to a show instead of dropping in between. It pairs with Ethel M on a driving night once both schedules are confirmed, but they're separate stops. Details: 2026 dates not yet announced; last season ran November 27 – January 1, with the laser show on the hour each evening. Free.
Holiday Villages and Tree Lightings Around Las Vegas
These are at their best on event nights. The rest of the season, they're decorated places for dinner and a little shopping, so time your visit to the parade, tree lighting or market.

Downtown Summerlin Holiday Parade
1980 Festival Plaza Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89135, USA
Time the visit to the parade: Santa, holiday characters and snow flurries come down Park Centre Drive, and the rest of the evening can stay unhurried. Eat early, then find a spot along the route. The outdoor Rock Rink has opened alongside the parade in past seasons, so check this year's dates if anyone wants to skate. If you're also booking Enchant, leave a generous gap after the parade for the crowd to clear. Details: Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m., November 20 – December 19, 2026. Free.

Town Square Las Vegas
6605 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA
Pair Town Square with dinner rather than treating it as a light spectacular; the draw is Santa, the tree and a little theatrical snowfall. Go on kickoff night for the full program, and check this year's Snow in the Square times before a later visit. Details: Santa & Snow in the Square, Saturday, November 14, 2026, 5–8 p.m., with Santa arriving at 7 p.m., the tree lighting, snow effects, entertainment and photos. 6605 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Free.

Tivoli Village
400 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145, USA
Tivoli isn't trying to match the big attractions in scale. Go for a date or family dinner where the holiday setting is part of the night: browse on a market or tree-lighting evening, then sit down to eat. Details: Tree lighting Wednesday, November 25, 2026, 5–8 p.m., with holiday music and seasonal characters; Nutcracker Night Market on select December Thursdays, 4–8 p.m. (check the dates before you go). 400 South Rampart Boulevard. Free.

The District at Green Valley Ranch
2240 Village Walk Dr, Henderson, NV 89052, USA
The tree lighting is the reason to plan a dedicated visit: snowfall effects, live holiday music, seasonal characters, vendors and Santa lighting the tree. Make it a Henderson night rather than a detour between Strip reservations, and arrive with time to explore before dinner nearby. Details: Tree lighting Saturday, November 21, 2026, 5–8 p.m. Free.

Fremont Street holiday celebrations
Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA
The canopy light shows run all year. The holiday tree and seasonal events are what make Fremont a Christmas stop, and past celebrations have centered on the tree at Fremont and Third Streets by the Fremont Hotel & Casino. Add it to a downtown evening you've already planned; with kids, go earlier in the evening. Details: 2026 holiday schedule not yet announced. Free.
Christmas Parades in Henderson and Boulder City
Both of these happen on specific nights, so plan the trip around the date.

Henderson WinterFest
240 S Water St, Henderson, NV 89015, USA
WinterFest takes over Water Street in downtown Henderson for two nights: the tree lighting on Thursday and the Electric Light Parade on Friday. It's a community celebration rather than a commercial light attraction. Water Street closes for the event, so leave time to park and find a viewing spot rather than aiming for the listed start. Details: Thursday, December 3 (tree lighting; full schedule to come) and Friday, December 4, 2026 (Electric Light Parade at 6:30 p.m.). Water Street Plaza and the Water Street District. Free.

Santa's Electric Night Parade in Boulder City
Boulder City Historic District, Boulder City, NV 89005, USA
Decorated floats, marching bands and a historic downtown take the place of resort spectacle, which is the point. Make an afternoon of Boulder City: explore first, watch the parade, then stay for dinner. Check the final route before you leave; it's a separate trip, not a stop between two Las Vegas attractions. Details: Saturday, December 5, 2026, starting at 4:30 p.m. in the historic district. Free.
Neighborhood Christmas Lights in Las Vegas
Residential displays can be wonderful, but they're the least predictable part of a holiday plan. Vincelli Avenue in North Las Vegas drew visitors in 2025 for a whole block of decorated homes; check for a current update before you go.
Treat neighborhood lights as a spontaneous extra, not the anchor of a night planned weeks ahead. Stay on public streets and sidewalks, keep driveways clear and keep the noise down.
Three Things to Know Before You Go
- Compare what you're actually buying. Glittering Lights is priced per car, Enchant per person, and Oasis is free to enter but charges for skating.
- Check the exact night, not just the season. A display can run into January without opening every night in between. Magical Forest, for example, is dark December 7–9.
- Know which nights are one-offs. The decorations at a tree lighting usually stay up, but the Santa appearance, music and snowfall often happen just once.
Our Bottom Line
For a first Christmas trip to Las Vegas, see Bellagio, Ethel M and one bigger paid attraction. Choose Glittering Lights for a night in the car, Enchant for a walk-through spectacle, or Magical Forest when young kids are the priority. Then add a parade or a resort display because it fits your evening, not because it's on the list.
