Best Speakeasies & Hidden Bars in Las Vegas (2026)

Run a business in this guide, or want yours added? Get in touch. Or get featured.

Las Vegas loves a reveal. A doughnut counter hides a cabaret lounge, a working barbershop opens into a whiskey saloon, and a vending machine at the back of a pizza shop swings open into a red-velvet cocktail room. The entrance is half the fun, but it shouldn't be the best thing about the bar.

These are the Las Vegas speakeasies and hidden bars worth finding: small cocktail rooms on Fremont East and in the Arts District, the Strip's most entertaining secret doors, and a few off-Strip rooms worth the drive. Some are quiet and built for conversation. Others are loud music rooms that happen to have a hidden entrance. Each card says which is which, how to get in, and whether to book.

Downtown and the Arts District

Fremont East and the Arts District have the city's most cocktail-serious rooms. Most are small, several need a booking, and a couple close earlier than you'd expect.

For an easy downtown night, book an early seating at The Laundry Room, then walk to Captain's Quarters at White Whale for a bartender's-choice nightcap. Thursday to Sunday, drinks and dinner at CC Speakeasy followed by SEVEN:45 makes a strong Arts District date.

The Laundry Room

The Laundry Room

525 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA

The Laundry Room is the one to book when the drinks are the whole point. It's a 16-seat room inside Commonwealth, built into what was once the El Cortez's laundry, and the bartenders tailor each drink to the guest in front of them. It's quiet by design. Go as a couple or a pair of friends. Seatings run early in the evening, so make it the start of your night, not the nightcap. Find it: Inside Commonwealth, 525 Fremont Street. Check in at the host stand and staff will walk you back. Plan it: Book online through the official site. Closed Monday and Tuesday, and weekend seatings end earlier than weeknights.

The Underground at The Mob Museum

The Underground at The Mob Museum

300 Stewart Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA

The Underground has the kind of history most themed bars can only decorate with. It's in the basement of The Mob Museum, a 1933 federal courthouse, next to a working copper-pot still that makes the house moonshine. Order something made with it. It's a good first downtown stop, and weekend live music gives it a second gear. Find it: 300 Stewart Avenue. For the bar only, use the side entrance by the parking lot (look for the wooden barrel), give the password at the door, and skip the museum ticket. Plan it: Walk-in. Get the day's password from the museum's website or social accounts. It closes around 11 p.m. most nights, so go early.

CC Speakeasy at Craft Creamery

CC Speakeasy at Craft Creamery

1 E Charleston Blvd #100, Las Vegas, NV 89104, USA

Craft Creamery scoops Mexican-inspired ice cream up front. Ask for the flavor of the day and a freezer door opens into a deep-green, art deco cocktail parlor with a real food menu. It's the easiest Arts District date: drinks and dinner in one place, with a reveal that still gets a laugh. Find it: 1 East Charleston Boulevard, Suite 100. Plan it: Book through the speakeasy's own website. Closed Mondays.

SEVEN:45

SEVEN:45

1531 S Commerce St #130, Las Vegas, NV 89102, USA

SEVEN:45 is for people who notice what's playing. It's a small R&B listening room modeled on Japanese hi-fi bars, lined with vinyl (much of it from the owner's grandmother), and the house rule is that nobody talks louder than the record. Each night features a different album, and some of the cocktails are named for songs. Bring one person who'll enjoy listening as much as talking. It's not the spot for a loud reunion. Find it: 1531 South Commerce Street, Suite 130. An unmarked door leads down a hallway of R&B portraits; give the password at the inner door. Plan it: Thursday to Sunday from 7:45 p.m. Book on OpenTable, up to four people per reservation. A booking gets you in but doesn't guarantee a table, separate bookings can't be combined, and there's a two-drink minimum. It's cashless. The password goes up daily on SEVEN:45's Instagram.

Captain's Quarters at White Whale

Captain's Quarters at White Whale

111 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA

White Whale took over the old Downtown Cocktail Room in 2025, and its back room is why it's here. Captain's Quarters has no menu. Tell the bartender what spirits and flavors you like, and they'll build the drink from there. The front bar has a DJ and a younger crowd; the back room is where people go to actually talk. Pick it when the conversation with the bartender is part of the fun. Find it: White Whale, 111 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Follow the whale stencils along the brick to a black side door. Plan it: Book and ask for Captain's Quarters by name, since a table at White Whale isn't the same thing. There's no food at either bar.

Doberman Drawing Room

Doberman Drawing Room

1025 S 1st St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA

Doberman earns its spot for the room, not the door. It's a members' social club that opens a limited number of reservations to the public each day, and it feels more like an eccentric private drawing room than a bar. Themed nights like Mahjong Mondays and magic in the Blue Room keep it from feeling stuffy. Choose it for a dressed-up evening when the company matters more than solving a puzzle to get in. Find it: 1025 South 1st Street. Plan it: Book a public reservation online; membership isn't required. Up to six guests per booking, and splitting a bigger group into several bookings isn't allowed. Dressy casual (no athletic wear, flip-flops or snapbacks). No photos, laptops or headphones. Open nightly from 5 p.m.

Hidden Bars on the Center Strip

Most of the Strip's best secret doors sit between Bellagio and the Flamingo, and The Cosmopolitan alone has four. The cards run hotel by hotel: The Cosmopolitan, ARIA, Bellagio, Park MGM, Planet Hollywood, Horseshoe, the Flamingo and Caesars Palace.

For the easiest night, start at Ghost Donkey for tequila, then walk over to Ski Lodge for pizza and a second round. Both are walk-in and on the same floor. If a band you want to see is playing, finish at The Barbershop.

Ghost Donkey

Ghost Donkey

The Cosmopolitan of, Boulevard Tower, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S Level 2, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Ghost Donkey is small, colorful and a lot livelier than "speakeasy" suggests. The bar is all agave, with a deep list of tequila and mezcal by the pour or in flights, and the truffle nachos are the order. It's the easiest drop-in on this list if you're already at The Cosmopolitan. Just don't show up with a big group. Find it: Back of Block 16 Urban Food Hall, Level 2, The Cosmopolitan, 3708 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Look for the door with the small donkey on it. Plan it: Walk-in only. Get there early on weekends; it fills fast.

Ski Lodge

Ski Lodge

3708 Las Vegas Blvd The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Level 2, Chelsea Tower, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Ski Lodge commits to the bit: a picture window of falling snow, a crackling fireplace and wood-paneled cabin walls, a few steps from a casino floor. Superfrico's frico-crusted square pizzas are served inside, and the Shotski (one tequila shot each, poured into a real ski) is for groups of four. Cozy doesn't mean quiet here. Think lively mountain bar, not reading room. Find it: Unmarked door near Superfrico, Level 2, The Cosmopolitan. Plan it: No reservations. It opens in the afternoon, so it's one of the few hidden bars that works before dinner.

The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails

The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails

Boulevard Tower, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S Level 1, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

The barbershop is real, and the door marked "Janitor" at the back opens into a whiskey saloon with a stage. There's live music every night, and the room has a long record of surprise guest sets from big-name musicians. Come for a band and a crowd that builds through the night. Skip it if you want to talk quietly over a small table. Find it: Level 1, Boulevard Tower, The Cosmopolitan. Plan it: No password. Headliners usually start late in the evening, and covers and table minimums vary by night, so check the calendar and book seating when the act matters. Smart casual dress code. The barbershop's daytime hours aren't the saloon's.

Beauty & Essex

Beauty & Essex

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

For a pawn-shop entrance and a cheap round. A working pawn shop opens into a big, glamorous restaurant and lounge. The reason to go is Social Hour: Sunday through Thursday, 5–7 p.m., select cocktails and bites are $10 each in the bar area. Find it: The Cosmopolitan, 3708 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Social Hour is bar-area only, not the dining room.

Easy's Cocktail Lounge

Easy's Cocktail Lounge

ARIA Resort & Casino, Proper Eats, 3730 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89158, USA

Easy's hides behind a doughnut counter in ARIA's Proper Eats Food Hall, then turns into a cabaret lounge: emerald drapes, velvet sofas, a small stage and live music every night. The showier drinks arrive with smoke, moss or mushroom-shaped glassware, and there's caviar service if you're celebrating. It's one of the best dressed-up dates on the Strip that isn't a nightclub. Find it: Behind the Easy Donuts & Coffee counter in Proper Eats, ARIA's second-level promenade, 3730 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Plan it: Opens at 8 p.m., so think after-dinner drinks. Reserve, especially on weekends. Expect music, not quiet conversation.

The Vault

The Vault

3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

The Vault is Bellagio's old casino cage turned into a 50-seat lounge, and the reason to go is the bottles. It keeps an archive of vintage spirits from the past century, poured neat or worked into cocktails, and once a bottle is gone, that pour may be gone for good. Book it for an anniversary, a big win, or someone who genuinely cares about old spirits. Look at the menu before you sit down; this is one of the most expensive cocktail rooms in the city. Find it: Off Bellagio's casino floor near the table games, 3600 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Look for a gilded door with a small "V." Plan it: Reserve ahead. Dress the part: no shorts or athletic wear.

Vinyl Parlor at On The Record

Vinyl Parlor at On The Record

3770 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

For a hidden room inside a club. On The Record is a nightclub entered through a working record store, which makes it a club, not a speakeasy. The real hidden bar is inside: a red phone booth opens into the Vinyl Parlor, a roughly 20-seat room where the bartender builds a drink around your favorite album or artist. Find it: Park MGM, 3770 South Las Vegas Boulevard. It's only open on club nights, usually with a cover and a dress code, so check the calendar first.

Caramella Hidden Lounge

Caramella Hidden Lounge

3667 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Caramella is a 1970s-styled Italian restaurant at Planet Hollywood with a working candy shop in the middle. A panel behind the candy shop opens into the Hidden Lounge: leopard print, patterned wallpaper and a mirrored DJ booth. It's a lounge with party ambitions. Go dressed up, with a group or a date who wants to stay out. Find it: Through the candy shop inside Caramella, Planet Hollywood, 3667 South Las Vegas Boulevard, near the PH Live entrance. Plan it: Thursday to Sunday from 7 p.m. Book the Hidden Lounge itself; a dinner reservation doesn't cover it. Business casual.

The Lock

The Lock

3645 Las Vegas Blvd South Horseshoe, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

The Lock makes getting in the first act of the night. Inside The Cabinet of Curiosities at Horseshoe, an old telephone gives you a password, a series of riddles gets you the final code, and then you walk (or crawl) through a vault door into a safe-deposit-box cocktail room. It's great for a date or a small group that likes a little theater, and less suited to a quick drink. Find it: The Cabinet of Curiosities, lower level of Horseshoe Las Vegas, 3645 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite A11–12. Plan it: Reservations take up to five people in the main room; bigger groups can book the VIP room for a fee. Two-drink minimum, no cover and no dress code. Walk-ins get in when there's space. Open daily from 4 p.m. to midnight.

The Count Room

The Count Room

3555 Las Vegas Blvd South Inside Flamingo, Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

The Count Room is the back bar of Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse at the Flamingo, all dark wood, leather and old mob photos. The move is the Old Fashioned cart: bartenders build yours tableside from your choice of spirit, syrups and bitters. It's made for a steak dinner and a nightcap, with live jazz on Friday and Saturday nights. Find it: Through Bugsy & Meyer's at the Flamingo, 3555 South Las Vegas Boulevard, or from the casino through the door marked "Bugsy's Private Office" near the food hall. Plan it: Thursday to Saturday only, and it wraps up around 11 p.m. Ask for The Count Room when you book; not every steakhouse reservation includes it.

Caspian's Rock & Roe

Caspian's Rock & Roe

Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Caspian's starts as a polished caviar lounge near the front of Caesars Palace, where you can order caviar with a can of Pringles. Behind a portrait of a sea captain is a much louder room: a 2,300-square-foot music hall with live bands every night, plus live-band karaoke and a yacht-rock night. This is a party room. Start in the front, then head back when the band starts. Find it: Caesars Palace, 3570 South Las Vegas Boulevard, near the main entrance on the walkway toward Nobu. Plan it: Reserve and ask for the music room specifically, since a front-lounge booking doesn't guarantee a seat in back. The music room opens at 8 p.m.

Pier 17 Yacht Club

Pier 17 Yacht Club

Green Fairy Garden, 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

For drinks before Absinthe. Spiegelworld's yacht-club bar is tucked inside the Green Fairy Garden outside Caesars Palace, with a nautical indoor cabin and an outdoor boatyard. Order the Yacht Tots, topped with trout roe or, if you're splurging, caviar. Find it: Green Fairy Garden, Caesars Palace, at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. Open to the public daily from 5 p.m.; you don't need an Absinthe ticket.

Hidden Bars on the North and South Strip

At the north end, The Venetian has three hidden rooms and Resorts World has one. At the south end, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay each have a reliable stop for after dinner or a show.

Close Company

Close Company

Via Via Food Hall, The Venetian Resort, 3355 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Close Company comes from the team behind Death & Co, and it's the most relaxed great cocktail bar on the Strip. It's down a hallway at the back of The Venetian's Via Via Food Hall: a low-ceilinged room with a disco ball, rounds of mini martinis for the table, and a proper zero-proof list. Grab a Sicilian slice from Scarr's Pizza in the food hall and you've got a full night without a single reservation. Find it: Back of Via Via Food Hall, off the Grand Colonnade at The Venetian, 3355 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Plan it: Walk-in. Opens at 4 p.m. daily and runs until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Nomikai

Nomikai

3355 S Las Vegas Blvd #105, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

For sushi and Japanese whisky. The Venetian's Nomikai has a casual sushi counter out front and, through an unmarked door beside it, a dim hidden restaurant and lounge with sushi, Japanese whisky and sake cocktails. Pick it when dinner matters as much as drinks. Find it: Restaurant Row, The Venetian, 3355 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Book the speakeasy specifically; the counter is walk-up only.

1923 Prohibition Bar (The Venetian)

1923 Prohibition Bar (The Venetian)

3377 Las Vegas Blvd S 2510 M, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

1923 is a staged Prohibition night more than a true secret, and that's fine when it's what you're after: bourbon, barrel-aged Old Fashioneds, New Orleans touches and live entertainment. A velvet curtain inside this location leads to Voodoo Underground, a second hidden room full of oddities. Find it: A hidden elevator in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, 3377 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite 2510M. No password. Plan it: Open Wednesday to Sunday, with free live music and burlesque late on Friday and Saturday. Mostly first come, first served; ticketed shows are separate purchases. The original location is at Mandalay Place.

Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den

Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den

3000 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Here Kitty Kitty hides behind a shelf of golden lucky cats at FUHU, a Hong Kong-style café in Resorts World's food hall. Inside it's red lanterns, neon tigers and a strong Japanese whisky list, plus a bartender's choice where they ask about your tastes and build something for you. It's the obvious pick if you're staying at Resorts World. Friday vinyl DJ nights run livelier than the room's size suggests. Find it: Through FUHU Cha Chaan Teng in Famous Foods Street Eats, Resorts World, 3000 South Las Vegas Boulevard. At night the FUHU counter doubles as the host stand. Plan it: No reservations or password; staff run a waitlist. Opens at 6 p.m.

Chez Bippy

Chez Bippy

3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, USA

Chez Bippy takes its name from the neighborhood bar in A Bronx Tale. The door is a mock vending machine at the back of Luchini's slice shop; push it and you're in a small room of red velvet, arched mirrors and a disco-ball chandelier. The Bella Notte, half espresso martini and half affogato, is the one to order. It's a smart move after dinner or a show at MGM Grand. Find it: Back of Luchini's Slice Shop, MGM Grand, 3799 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Plan it: Tuesday to Saturday; closed Sunday and Monday. No password. Smart casual. There's no food inside, but the slice shop is right there.

1923 Prohibition Bar (Mandalay Place)

1923 Prohibition Bar (Mandalay Place)

3930 S Las Vegas Blvd #101, Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA

1923 is a staged Prohibition night more than a true secret, and that's fine when it's what you're after: bourbon, barrel-aged Old Fashioneds, New Orleans touches and live entertainment. Find it: A bookcase at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, 3930 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite 200B. No password. Plan it: Open daily from 11 a.m., so it works in the afternoon too. Mostly first come, first served; ticketed shows are separate purchases. There's a second location at The Venetian.

Off the Strip

These four are separate outings, from Chinatown to Henderson. Pair each with its own part of town instead of trying to hit them all in one night.

Más Por Favor

Más Por Favor

3879 W Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102, USA

Más Por Favor is a Chinatown taco shop with a back door. Staff lead you through a mock smugglers' tunnel into a moody tequila and mezcal lounge with velvet seating, a wall of roses and DJs later in the night. Eat tacos up front first, then head back with a few friends for a lively night. It's not the place for a quiet catch-up. Find it: 3879 Spring Mountain Road. Plan it: Reserve the speakeasy parlor and ask for the back room when you arrive. A taco order up front doesn't get you a seat in back.

Wax Rabbit

Wax Rabbit

6915 S Durango Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89148, USA

Wax Rabbit has one of the best entrances in town. Inside Mijo at Durango, a marigold-lined corridor leads to a tequila-locker vault full of small rabbits. Pull the right one and a door opens into an all-red room with vinyl DJs and mezcal-heavy cocktails. It gets louder as the night goes on. Go if you're staying at Durango or eating at Mijo, since it's a drive from the Strip. Find it: Inside Mijo Modern Mexican, Durango Casino & Resort, 6915 South Durango Drive. Plan it: Tuesday to Saturday from 6 p.m. Reserve when seating matters, and check DJ times separately from opening hours.

Datamosh

Datamosh

3215 S Rancho Dr #100, Las Vegas, NV 89102, USA

Datamosh is hidden inside Omega Mart, Meow Wolf's surreal grocery store at AREA15, and plenty of visitors walk right past it. After an hour of portals and sensory overload, it's a welcome place to sit down, with cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks. Go as part of an Omega Mart visit. Don't buy a ticket just for a drink. Find it: Inside Omega Mart at AREA15, 3215 South Rancho Drive. Plan it: You need an Omega Mart ticket to reach it; the VIP ticket includes one drink. Hours follow Omega Mart's.

DarkArts at Grey Witch

DarkArts at Grey Witch

722 W Sunset Rd, Henderson, NV 89011, USA

For pipe and cigar smokers. Step through the fireplace at Grey Witch in Henderson and you're in a dark, gothic smoking lounge with bones overhead, tarot imagery, custom cocktails and a serious pipe-tobacco and cigar selection. Grey Witch's Detroit-style pizza is out front. Find it: 722 West Sunset Road, Henderson. It's often closed on Grey Witch concert nights, when it doubles as the bands' green room, so check the event calendar before you drive out. Skip it if smoke bothers you.

Frequently asked questions

Do Las Vegas speakeasies need a password?
A few do. The Underground and SEVEN:45 post a fresh password every day on their official channels, and The Lock makes you earn yours with riddles. Most others, including The Barbershop, Chez Bippy, Easy's, Here Kitty Kitty and both 1923 locations, need no password at all. Don't trust a password from an old article.
Does a restaurant reservation get me into the hidden bar?
Usually not. At Caramella, Caspian's, The Count Room, Nomikai, Más Por Favor and White Whale, book or ask for the hidden room by name. A table in the front room isn't a seat in the back.
Which hidden bars don't need a reservation?
Ghost Donkey, Ski Lodge, Close Company and The Underground are walk-in, Here Kitty Kitty runs a waitlist, and both 1923 locations are mostly first come, first served. Arrive early on weekends, because these rooms are small.
Can I bring a big group to a Las Vegas speakeasy?
The Barbershop, Caspian's and 1923 handle groups best. The small rooms cap bookings: four at SEVEN:45, five in The Lock's main room and six at Doberman. SEVEN:45 and Doberman don't allow splitting a group into several bookings, so for a bigger party, ask the venue about a private room or buyout.
Is there a cover charge or drink minimum?
Most have neither. The Lock and SEVEN:45 have a two-drink minimum, Datamosh requires an Omega Mart ticket, On The Record usually charges a cover, and The Barbershop's covers and table minimums depend on the act.
What should I wear to a Las Vegas speakeasy?
Check the room, not just the hotel. Doberman is dressy casual, Caramella's Hidden Lounge is business casual, The Barbershop and Chez Bippy are smart casual, and The Vault turns away shorts and athletic wear.
Which Las Vegas hidden bars close early?
The Laundry Room's last seatings are around 9 or 10 p.m., The Count Room wraps up around 11 p.m., and The Underground closes at 11 p.m. most nights. For a late night, The Barbershop, Easy's, Ski Lodge and Close Company (on weekends) all run until 2 a.m.
