Miami Art Week isn't one event in one neighborhood. Art Basel Miami Beach fills the Convention Center for public days December 4–6, after invitation-only previews on December 2 and 3. Design Miami runs December 1–6 alongside it, Untitled Art and InScope set up along Ocean Drive, NADA takes over Ice Palace Studios on the mainland December 1–5, and Art Miami and CONTEXT fill One Herald Plaza by the bay. On a map it all looks close. In Art Week traffic, it usually isn't.
The simplest rule: eat near the last fair, gallery or party of your day. Stay on Miami Beach after Art Basel, eat in Wynwood or the Design District after mainland galleries, and use Downtown for NADA and Art Miami. Coconut Grove and Coral Gables are worth the trip, as long as you plan them as the night's destination.
Everything here is a permanent restaurant or bar we'd recommend in any week of the year. Pop-ups and brand takeovers come and go; these are the kitchens and bar teams that know what they're doing when the city is at its busiest.
If you're mostly at the Convention Center, our Art Basel Miami Beach dining guide drills into fair-day lunches and South Beach dinners. Little Havana gets its own guide too: best Cuban restaurants in Miami.

Miami Beach: Restaurants and Bars Near Art Basel, Design Miami and Untitled
After a day at Art Basel or Design Miami, stay on the Beach. Casa Tua, Sweet Liberty, Rose Bar and Lido are closest to the Convention Center, with Lucali and Macchialina a short ride west. Untitled and InScope sit along Ocean Drive, which puts The Drexel, Joe's, Stubborn Seed, Azabu and Mac's Club Deuce in easy reach. Los Fuegos and Broken Shaker make Mid-Beach worth the extra few minutes, and The Living Room at Faena keeps the night going after dinner. For one more drink in South Beach, Swizzle Rum Bar on Collins is a good back-pocket stop.
For drinks with a view between fairs, see our rooftop bars and beach bars guides.

The Drexel
1436 Drexel Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
The easiest South Beach recommendation of the week: a good-looking room that doesn't feel like a hotel lobby, and Mediterranean-leaning, wood-fired cooking that makes dinner an occasion without a three-hour tasting menu. An easy walk from Untitled. Details: Regular service Thursday–Monday from 5 p.m., so normally closed Tue, Dec. 1 and Wed, Dec. 2; check for added Art Week nights.

Macchialina
810 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
Warm, small and focused on the plate, Macchialina is where to go when dinner matters more than the scene. Order across the handmade pastas and Italian comfort dishes as a table; the Alton Road address keeps you clear of the Collins Avenue crush. Details: Dinner nightly. Book ahead.

Joe's Stone Crab
11 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
Joe's isn't chasing anything, which is exactly why it belongs here. Stone crab season is on during Art Week, the room still feels like an event, and the fried chicken, hash browns and key lime pie are as much of the draw as the claws. Lunch is the smart play. Details: Reservations generally open 14 days ahead (Nov. 16–22 for Art Week) and walk-ins are part of the tradition. Lunch Wed–Sun; dinner nightly.

Casa Tua
1700 James Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
The villa, garden and small dining rooms feel sealed off from the hotel district around them. The Italian menu is polished and familiar; the real reason to book is the rooms, the flattering light and some of the best people-watching of the week, a few blocks from the Convention Center. Details: Dinner from about 6 p.m. Tables have generally released about 21 days out (about Nov. 9–15 for Art Week).

Stubborn Seed
101 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
The serious counterweight to South Beach scene dining, and one of three Miami restaurants holding a Michelin Green Star. Creative, structured and immersive, so go with people who want to pay attention to the food. Details: Dinner nightly. Allow plenty of time and send dietary needs ahead.

Azabu Miami Beach and The Den
161 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
Two very different evenings at one address. Azabu is the flexible one, with sushi, cooked dishes and cocktails; The Den is a small, fixed omakase for people who want to sit still and concentrate. An easy walk from InScope. Details: Azabu serves dinner daily. The Den runs limited prepaid seatings with a strict cancellation policy.

Lucali
1930 Bay Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
For friends who'd rather have great pizza and calzones in a loud, happy room than sit through another formal dinner. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and calmer Sunset Harbour is a welcome reset after a Convention Center day. Details: Walk-in only, cash only and closed Tuesdays, including Dec. 1. Bring your own wine or beer and arrive early.

Lido Bayside Grill
40 Island Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
Open-air tables on Biscayne Bay make Lido the place for an easy lunch, an early dinner or a drink after Art Basel. Come here to come down from the day. Details: Open all day, breakfast until midnight. Reserve outdoor seats and time it for sunset.

Los Fuegos
3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140, USA
Faena does scale and spectacle, and Los Fuegos is its centerpiece: Francis Mallmann's Argentine open-fire cooking in a dramatic room that feels like a proper occasion. Move on to The Living Room afterward. Details: Dinner from about 6:30 p.m.; breakfast and lunch too. Check the dress code.

Sweet Liberty
237 20th St Ste b, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
Probably the most useful bar in this guide: close to the Convention Center, serious about cocktails and relaxed about everything else, so it works for an early client drink and for the much later crowd. Details: Open daily 4 p.m.–5 a.m., happy hour 4–8 p.m.

Rose Bar
1685 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
The Delano reopened this year, and Rose Bar came back with it as an intimate, design-led room off the lobby: a natural Art Week meeting point on Collins Avenue for a polished drink before or after dinner. Details: Open daily 5 p.m.–2 a.m. Expect a crowd in its first Art Week since reopening.

Mac's Club Deuce
222 14th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA
A dark, historic antidote to Art Week overproduction. No velvet rope and no concept, just a beer or a straightforward drink in a bar that predates the modern South Beach scene. Details: Open daily 8 a.m.–5 a.m. Cash only; daytime happy hour until 5 p.m.

Broken Shaker
2727 Indian Creek Dr #11, Miami Beach, FL 33140, USA
A garden-and-pool cocktail bar at the Freehand where a small group can spread out and actually hear each other. It fits best with a Los Fuegos dinner or a Mid-Beach evening. Details: Regular hours Thursday–Sunday, so normally closed Nov. 30–Dec. 2. Reservations recommended.

Design District, Wynwood and Little River
This is gallery-day territory on the mainland. Around the Design District and ICA Miami, Mandolin is our daytime favorite, COTE is the client dinner, Le Jardinier is the refined option and Michael's Genuine works for almost anyone. In Wynwood, Doya, Uchi and Pastis handle dinner after the galleries, with Dante's HiFi as the natural next stop. A few minutes north, Boia De, Walrus Rodeo and Sunny's are worth a dedicated night, and Lagniappe and ZeyZey cover live music. For a quick daytime bite between galleries, Zak the Baker in Wynwood and Sadelle's at Kith in the Design District are easy stops.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro
4312 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137, USA
A shaded courtyard around a converted 1940s house, Greek and Turkish meze made for sharing, and plates like grilled octopus. Mandolin has been doing this since 2009 and suits nearly every Art Week crowd; it's our favorite daytime stop near the Design District. Details: Daily noon–11 p.m. Reservations release about 60 days out, so Art Week dates are already open.

COTE Miami
3900 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137, USA
Korean barbecue energy with steakhouse service. The set feast keeps the whole table involved, the room has real buzz, and you can still hold a conversation, which is exactly what a business dinner needs. Details: Lunch and dinner daily. Reservations open 30 days out at 10 a.m. Eastern (Oct. 31–Nov. 6 for Art Week).

Le Jardinier
151 NE 41st St Ste 135, Miami, FL 33137, USA
A Michelin-starred, vegetable-forward dining room that never feels restrictive. The pick for an important midday meeting or a calm evening between busier nights. Details: Tuesday–Sunday; closed Monday, Nov. 30.

Michael's Genuine
130 NE 40th St, Miami, FL 33137, USA
Michael Schwartz's Design District standby, with seafood, vegetables, meat and shareable plates that keep a table of very different eaters happy. The courtyard and lively bar keep it from feeling like an obligatory work dinner. Details: Lunch Mon–Sat, Sunday brunch, dinner nightly; happy hour Sun–Fri 4–7 p.m.

Doya
347 NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33127, USA
Chef Erhan Kostepen, formerly of Mandolin, runs this bigger, louder Aegean room, with a meze bar at the door and much of the menu cooked over charcoal or wood. Order widely and pass plates; the garden and center bar handle a group arriving in waves. Details: Lunch and dinner daily. Contact the restaurant for larger parties.

Uchi Miami
252 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33127, USA
Sushi and composed cold plates are the reason to come, and the hot kitchen means it works as a full dinner or a lighter stop. The bar and early happy hour give Uchi far more flexibility than most restaurants at this level. Details: Lunch daily noon–3 p.m., dinner 5–11 p.m., happy hour 5–6:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome.

Hiyakawa
2700 N Miami Ave #5, Miami, FL 33127, USA
A serene room with precise presentation and unhurried pacing, deliberately apart from the Wynwood noise outside. Bring a date or a serious sushi eater; a big, undecided table will be happier at Uchi. Details: Usually Wednesday–Sunday, about 6–9:30 p.m., so closed Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Book ahead.

Pastis Miami
380 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127, USA
Keith McNally and Stephen Starr's take on the New York brasserie, with a big polished dining room, a garden courtyard and a familiar French menu. Unusually forgiving when your party grows from four to seven or someone's running an hour late. Details: Weekday lunch, nightly dinner, weekend brunch. Bar seats for walk-ins; ask ahead for larger groups.

Boia De
5205 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137, USA
Small, personal and a little idiosyncratic, with Italian-leaning crudos, pastas and dishes that don't fit neatly into any one category. Book it on a night you aren't trying to squeeze anything else in. Details: Dinner daily, about 5:30–10:30 p.m. Reservations open 30 days out at noon (Oct. 31–Nov. 6 for Art Week).

Walrus Rodeo
5143 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137, USA
Looser and fire-driven, with vegetables, pizza and larger dishes from the oven. It takes walk-ins, which is gold during Art Week, and the food is far better than a consolation prize. Details: Daily 5:30–10:30 p.m., early happy hour on select weekdays.

Sunny's Steakhouse
7357 NW Miami Ct, Miami, FL 33150, USA
The courtyard, martinis, raw bar and large-format steaks make Sunny's a genuinely festive night out: the one for a birthday, a collector group or the last dinner of the week. Details: Dinner daily, about 5:30–11 p.m. Reservations open 30 days out at noon; some bar and terrace walk-ins.

La Natural
7289 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33150, USA
Sourdough pizza, vegetables and natural wine in a relaxed room. After a day of events it's the soft landing, best for pairs and small groups who don't want anything complicated. Details: Usually Wednesday–Sunday with weekend lunch, so closed Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Dante's HiFi
519 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127, USA
An intimate hi-fi bar where the DJs and selectors set the tone for the whole night: the natural move after Doya, Uchi or Pastis for a group that wants to keep going without a full-scale club. Details: Programming varies, often ticketed or reservable; 21+. Check the Art Week calendar.

Lagniappe
3425 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137, USA
Pick a bottle, build a plate of cheese and charcuterie, and find a seat in the garden while the band plays. Ideal for loose groups and staggered arrivals, the kind of night a reservation would only complicate. Details: No reservations. Opens about 6 p.m., music nightly, open until about 2 a.m. weeknights and 3 a.m. Fri–Sat.

ZeyZey
353 NE 61st St, Miami, FL 33137, USA
A backyard-scale music venue, bar and kitchen where the program sets the mood. A night here can start casually and build into a full show. Details: Tuesday–Sunday with late events Fri–Sat; closed Monday, Nov. 30. Tickets, tables and entry depend on the event.
Downtown, Little Havana and Beyond: Near NADA and Art Miami
NADA runs December 1–5 at Ice Palace Studios, 1400 North Miami Avenue, and closes Saturday, so plan Downtown nights accordingly. Tâm Tâm, NIU Kitchen and Over Under handle dinner nearby, with The Corner and Club Space for later and Jolene Sound Room if you want to dance. Art Miami and CONTEXT sit on the bay at One Herald Plaza, and ViceVersa is the closest pick for a drink and dinner afterward. Cafe La Trova and the original Sanguich on Calle Ocho make Little Havana worth its own trip.
Farther out, Ariete, Los Felix and Krus Kitchen in Coconut Grove and Zitz Sum in Coral Gables are the dinners to cross town for. Krus Kitchen and Los Felix share a building on Main Highway and both hold Michelin Green Stars. Just don't leave Miami Beach at peak dinner hour expecting to make a Downtown event twenty minutes later; plan these as the night's destination.
After the NADA parties, our late-night food guide covers what's still cooking at 2 a.m.

ViceVersa
398 NE 5th St, Miami, FL 33132, USA
Italian aperitivo energy with serious cocktails, plus pizza and raw-bar plates. Well placed after NADA or Art Miami, especially when half the group wants a drink and the other half needs dinner now. Details: Daily 5 p.m.–midnight, early-week happy hour. Reservations about 30 days out; bar walk-ins when possible.

Tâm Tâm
99 NW 1st St, Miami, FL 33128, USA
Bold Vietnamese drinking food in a compact, lively room, made for a social dinner after NADA. Order a lot and share it. Details: Tuesday–Sunday; closed Monday, Nov. 30. Reservations open about three weeks out at noon (about Nov. 9–15 for Art Week); some outdoor walk-in seats.

NIU Kitchen
104 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33132, USA
Small and warm, with Catalan-leaning seafood, vegetables and rich plates built for sharing. Best for two or a small group, and one of the easiest solo dinners Downtown if you grab a bar seat early. Details: Dinner Tuesday–Saturday, so closed Mon, Nov. 30 and Sun, Dec. 6. Walk-ins welcome.

Over Under
151 E Flagler St, Miami, FL 33131, USA
Florida-leaning bar food, cold drinks and zero pretense. A real meal before The Corner, Jolene or Club Space, or when the group flatly refuses one more formal dinner. Details: Opens around 5 p.m. Mon–Sat and 3 p.m. Sun; food until midnight, late bar on weekends.

Café La Trova
971 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33130, USA
Classic Cuban cantinero cocktails, a lively dining room, and live bands and DJs add up to an unmistakably Miami night in one place. Reserve dinner if the food matters; otherwise start at the bar. Details: Daily from 4 p.m., until midnight most nights and 2 a.m. Fri–Sat; bar happy hour 4–7 p.m.

The Corner
1035 N Miami Ave #101, Miami, FL 33136, USA
A dark, dependable late bar close to NADA, Club Space and the rest of Downtown's after-hours orbit. Have the last drink here, or use it as the bridge into a longer night. Details: Generally from 4 p.m., until 5 a.m. Sun–Thu and 7 a.m. Fri–Sat.

Club Space
34 NE 11th St, Miami, FL 33132, USA
A Miami institution where the terrace can run into daylight. Go when the lineup is worth it, and be ready to give the whole night over to it. Details: Ticketed events, usually 21+. Buy from the official listing and check the door policy.

Ariete
3540 Main Hwy, Coconut Grove, FL 33133, USA
Modern technique meets Cuban-American memory in cooking that's deeply rooted in this city: a brilliant last dinner of the week when you want something more personal than generic luxury. Details: Generally Wednesday–Sunday, so closed Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The Taurus, at the same address, is right there for a nightcap.

Los Felix
3413 Main Hwy, Miami, FL 33133, USA
Heirloom corn, masa and regional Mexican cooking on a colorful, shareable menu, recognized with a Michelin Green Star. The Grove's bars and rooftops are steps away when dinner wraps. Details: Dinner Tuesday–Sunday with weekend brunch; closed Monday, Nov. 30.

Krus Kitchen
3413 Main Hwy, Miami, FL 33133, USA
Upstairs from Los Felix but a completely different mood: intimate, wine-centered and quietly ambitious, with a Michelin Green Star of its own. A good escape from Art Week's big rooms for a date or a slow dinner. Details: Generally Tuesday–Sunday with weekend brunch; closed Monday, Nov. 30. Reserve.

Zitz Sum
396 Alhambra Cir Ste 155, Coral Gables, FL 33134, USA
Dumplings and dishes shaped by Asian, Latin American and other influences make this one of the most personal meals in Miami. It earns the drive to Coral Gables on its own. Details: Tuesday–Saturday, so closed Mon, Nov. 30 and Sun, Dec. 6. The bar and courtyard may take walk-ins.
Planning Your Art Week: Booking Calendar and Walk-Ins
Mandolin's Art Week tables are already open, and the next wave (COTE, Boia De, Sunny's and ViceVersa) starts releasing Saturday, Oct. 31. Each window runs from Monday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 6, so count back from the night you want: a Friday, Dec. 4 dinner at COTE opens Wednesday, Nov. 4.
