Best Restaurants at DFW Airport, by Terminal (2026)
Where to eat in every terminal, with the places actually worth seeking out

Eating at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is better than it has any right to be. DFW has everything from proper Cajun seafood and sizzling Tex-Mex to wine bars, a local brewery and fast-casual spots that are actually worth seeking out.
The airport's biggest dining advantage is Skylink. All five terminals are connected after security, so travelers with a comfortable layover aren't limited to whatever happens to be next to their gate. Trains run every two minutes, around the clock, and the longest ride between terminals is about nine minutes. Terminal D has the deepest lineup, while several of the airport's best individual meals are in Terminals A and C.
Short on time? DFW also offers mobile ordering from participating restaurants, with pickup and, at select locations, delivery directly to your gate.
For a short connection, stay near your gate. With a comfortable layover, it can be worth taking Skylink for one of the restaurants below.

These are our 15 first-choice picks. The terminal sections below also include a few useful alternates for quick meals, lighter food and convenience. The shortlist is not meant as a strict 1-to-15 ranking.
Terminal A Restaurants: The Best Place for a Proper Meal
Terminal A has two of DFW's strongest sit-down restaurants in Pappadeaux and Pappasito's. If you're departing from A, you probably do not need to change terminals just to find a good meal.
Terminal verdict: Go out of your way: Pappadeaux | Very good: Pappasito's | Interesting alternative: Lorena Garcia | Quick and lighter: Plum Market

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
Terminal A, 2610 International Pkwy Gate 25, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate A25. If you only have one proper meal at DFW, make it Pappadeaux. The menu leans Cajun and Gulf Coast, with gumbo, fried seafood, blackened fish, crawfish dishes and substantial entrees. The Terminal A location is the version we would seek out first, especially if you have time to sit down rather than grab something near the gate.

Pappasitos Cantina
Terminal A, 2610 International Pkwy Gate A28, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate A28. Pappasito's is the Tex-Mex recommendation. Go for fajitas, chips and salsa and a margarita. For an out-of-town traveler who wants something recognizably Texas without leaving the airport, this is one of the easiest recommendations in the guide. There's a second location at Gate C19.

Lorena Garcia
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate A33. A more interesting alternative to the usual airport rotation. Chef Lorena Garcia's concept brings Venezuelan and Latin American influence, with dishes such as ropa vieja, black-bean queso fundido and dulce de leche tres leches.

Plum Market – DFW Terminal A
DFW Terminal A, 2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
A useful lighter option for travelers who want something quick, fresh and portable rather than another heavy airport meal.
Terminal B Restaurants: Much Better After the 2026 Openings
Terminal B used to be an afterthought. Portillo's and Raising Cane's both opened here in 2026, and the terminal now has a real quick-meal lineup to go with its barbecue and Tex-Mex.
Terminal verdict: Best: Portillo's | Best local choice: Cousins BBQ | Sit-down: Cantina Laredo | Fastest safe bet: Raising Cane's

Portillo's DFW Airport
Terminal B, 2141 S International Pkwy Gate 19, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate B19. The most notable recent addition to Terminal B. The 2026 opening is the chain's first airport location, with Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, burgers and chocolate cake. The setup is built for airport speed, including kiosks and grab-and-go.

Cousins BBQ
2141 International Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gates B12 and B43. The most locally rooted barbecue choice in Terminal B. Expect brisket, ribs, sausage and pulled pork. It belongs in the guide, but we would not frame airport barbecue as a definitive Texas barbecue experience.

Cantina Laredo
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate B29. The best sit-down fallback in the terminal when you want guacamole, fajitas and margaritas without changing terminals.

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers
Terminal B, 2141 S International Pkwy Gate 19, DFW Airport, TX 75261, USA
Gate B19. Another 2026 addition and an easy choice when speed and predictability matter more than local flavor.
Terminal C Restaurants: The Sleeper Terminal
Terminal C has a second Pappadeaux, a second Pappasito's at Gate C19, and two of the most distinctly Dallas spots in the airport.
Terminal verdict: Best meal: Pappadeaux | Most fun: Nowitzki | Best drinks: Deep Ellum Bar & Kitchen | Solid sit-down: Maggiano's

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
2330 N International Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate C14. Terminal C gets the airport's second Pappadeaux, making it an immediate contender for the best meal in the terminal. This location opens earlier than the one in Terminal A and serves breakfast, which makes it particularly useful for morning departures.

Nowitzki
2400 N International Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate C37. One of DFW's most distinctive restaurants. The concept is built around Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and mixes sports-bar energy with German-influenced dishes, flatbreads, bowls and a full bar.

Deep Ellum Bar + Kitchen
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Between Gates C32 and C33. One of the most important 2026 additions. It brings Deep Ellum Brewing directly into the airport with its drafts, sandwiches and bar food, giving Terminal C a stronger local beer option.

Maggiano's Little Italy
3200 Terminal C E Airfield Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate C17. A useful full-service Italian-American choice when pasta sounds better than seafood or Tex-Mex.
Terminal D Restaurants: The Best Terminal for Food Overall
Terminal D is DFW's primary international terminal and has the airport's deepest dining lineup. If your layover is long enough to change terminals for a meal, this is where to go.
Terminal verdict: Best sit-down: CRU | Best breakfast: Brewed | Best pizza and pasta: Wolfgang Puck | Best beer: Flying Saucer | Dessert: Cake Bar

CRU
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate D27. CRU is probably Terminal D's strongest all-around sit-down option. It feels like a real wine bar rather than an airport bar with a wine list, with flights, charcuterie, pizzas, salads and small plates. It is especially good for a longer layover when you want somewhere calmer to sit.

Brewed
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate D25. Brewed is the breakfast and brunch pick. The Fort Worth-born concept leans into comfort food, with pulled-pork hash, biscuits, shrimp and grits, burgers, breakfast plates, coffee and cocktails.

The Italian Kitchen
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate D34. A credible pizza-and-pasta option from Wolfgang Puck when you want a full meal without overthinking it. The pizza is the move.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
Terminal D, 2337 S International Pkwy #18, DFW Airport, TX 75261, USA
Gate D20. Come primarily for the beer; the draft selection is the reason to choose it over DFW's other pubs.

Cake Bar
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate D2. The dessert stop. The Dallas bakery is known for oversized slices of layer and sheet cake and is an easy add-on if you are already eating nearby.

Banh Shop
2400 Aviation Drive Gates C22 and D10, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate D10. A quick-service option for banh mi and noodle bowls. Worth knowing for variety and speed, though it isn't in the airport's top tier.
Terminal E Restaurants: A Shorter Shortlist
Terminal E has fewer destination-worthy restaurants than the other terminals, but Love Shack is a good local burger stop and Sonny Bryan's works when barbecue is the priority. If neither appeals and you have a comfortable layover, Terminal D has considerably more choice. For coffee, Fort Worth's Brewed has a counter near Gates E18–E19.
Terminal verdict: Best: Love Shack | For barbecue: Sonny Bryan's | Coffee: Brewed | Otherwise: eat elsewhere first if your layover allows

Love Shack
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate E12. The standout in Terminal E. Chef Tim Love's Fort Worth burger concept is more locally rooted than a generic airport burger counter. The Dirty Love Burger is the signature order.

Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse
2400 Aviation Dr, Dallas, TX 75261, USA
Gate E13. A reasonable barbecue option if Terminal E is your home base and you don't have time to move. Useful, but not a reason to cross the airport.
Updated October 2026. Restaurant hours, gate locations and concession lineups can change while DFW continues its terminal redevelopment.
