Halloween in the Valley is spread out. Cocktail bars in Arcadia and downtown Phoenix turn into haunted houses, Old Town Scottsdale goes full sinister carnival, and the East Valley has its own dinners and pop-ups. This guide covers the best Halloween bars and restaurants in Phoenix for 2026, from reservation-only pop-ups to brunches, proper dinners and Halloween-night parties.
Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31. Most pop-ups run through November 1, and a few stay up longer. If you want to see the décor without the crowds, go midweek and save Saturday for costumes and parties.

Halloween Pop-Up Bars in Phoenix and Scottsdale
These are the bars that fully transform for the season. Book the reservation-led rooms (Little Rituals, UnderTow, 36 Below and Straight Up) early for the last weekend of October; Sunny's and Porter's are the walk-in options.

Little Rituals: The Haunting
132 S Central Ave 4th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85004
Little Rituals goes all in on old-school Halloween for The Haunting: glowing jack-o'-lanterns, vintage decorations and a horror-movie-marathon mood, with original cocktails served in collectible glassware. The regular menu sticks around too, so you can still order a Conversation Starter. It's a seated, reservation-led room, which makes it the best downtown pick for a Halloween date. Plan your visit: Oct 1–Nov 1. 21+. Reservations strongly encouraged; closed Mondays. Festive outfits encouraged.

UnderTow Arcadia: Black Lagoon
3626 E Indian School Rd Ste 100, Phoenix, AZ 85018
UnderTow's below-deck tiki bar is already one of the most transporting rooms in Phoenix, and this year the Black Lagoon pop-up gives both locations, Arcadia and Gilbert, a goth, horror-movie makeover. The menu leans on fall flavors like pumpkin, pear and baking spice alongside tropical drinks. Make it the main booking of the night; it's not a room to rush through. Plan your visit: Sept 15–Nov 4 at 3626 E. Indian School Rd. in Arcadia and 3150 E. Ray Rd., Suite 184, in Gilbert. Reserve ahead, especially for Oct 29–31.

36 Below: Haunted Hollow
3620 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018
You head down the stairs under Sip Coffee & Beer into a bar dressed as a dark forest, with forest-inspired Halloween cocktails and a few seasonal dishes. It's small, so it suits a date or a couple of friends who want time to look around. UnderTow is right next door, but one immersive reservation is usually plenty for a night. Plan your visit: Through Nov 1. Reserve online; a few walk-in seats open up when space allows.

Sunny's Lounge: Psycho Killer Cocktail Club
2701 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016
Sunny's is Barter & Shake's laid-back neighborhood bar, and this fall it's had a '90s slasher-movie makeover with themed dance parties and horror-nostalgia cocktails, one of them served in a take-home ghost mug. There are no reservations, which makes it the easy late stop after dinner or an Arcadia booking. Plan your visit: Sept 14–Nov 1. Walk-ins only. Costume contest Oct 28, 8–10 p.m.

50 Shades of Rosé: Carnevil
7419 E Indian Plaza B, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Evil clowns, creepy dolls and sinister-carnival lighting take over the bar, and there's a full menu of wings, nachos, flatbreads and burgers behind it. That makes Carnevil an easy birthday or group dinner where the décor does most of the work. Plan your visit: Through Nov 1. 21+; reservations available. Love at First Fright date-night dinner Oct 26, listed at $35 per person; $25 pumpkin paint-and-sip on Tuesdays, with Oct 27 the last one.

The Hot Chick: Spooky Island
4363 N 75th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Spooky Island turns The Hot Chick into a Scooby-Doo-style mystery, with a Mystery Van bar and tropical, island-themed décor. Fried chicken and tall stacked sandwiches come first and the room gets louder as the night goes on, so book an early table if the group wants to eat before it turns into a party. Plan your visit: Sept 25–Nov 1. 21+. Reserve for dinner; Halloween-weekend tables are booked directly with the venue.

Porter's Western Saloon: Haunted Saloon
3944 N Brown Ave, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Porter's sits in the building that was Scottsdale's first post office (look for the giant horse on the balcony), and for Halloween it hangs skeletons from the ceiling and pours one drink straight from a fake blood bag. It's smaller and looser than the big themed bars nearby, so it works best as a first drink before dinner in Old Town. Plan your visit: Selected Thursday–Sunday evenings through Oct 31, from 4 p.m.

Straight Up: Haunted Hideaway
5101 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85250
Straight Up is a speakeasy tucked inside Hotel Adeline, and Haunted Hideaway gives it a moody gothic makeover and a seasonal cocktail list. It's intimate and quiet next to Old Town, a good last stop after dinner somewhere else. Plan your visit: Oct 1–31, generally Monday–Saturday, 7 p.m.–midnight. Reservations available. Guests in costume get a seasonal drink discount.

Halloween Dinners and Brunches in Phoenix
At these places the meal comes first and Halloween sets the scene. They're the safest bets for mixed groups, parents in town or anyone who wants a real dinner rather than bar snacks.

Toca Madera: Día de los Muertos
4736 N Goldwater Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Toca Madera marks the season with Día de los Muertos cocktails and a seasonal dessert served nightly, set inside a dining room that already runs on live entertainment and drama. It's the dressed-up option, for when the dinner itself is the occasion. Plan your visit: Seasonal menu through Nov 2. Reservations recommended. Check the restaurant's age policy before booking a late table with kids.

COURSE: American Psycho Cocktails
7366 E Shea Blvd Ste 106, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
COURSE names its fall cocktails after American Psycho, but the chef-driven tasting menu is still the reason to book. It's for couples who care most about the food and want a wink at Halloween rather than a haunted house. Plan your visit: Themed cocktails through Dec 10. Dinner Tuesday–Saturday, with a shorter prix fixe early in the week and an extended tasting Friday and Saturday.

Lucca Coastal Kitchen: Haunted Living Room
2475 W Queen Creek Rd Ste 5, Chandler, AZ 85248
Lucca's coastal Italian dining room picks up candlelight and eerie touches for October, with Halloween cocktails alongside the regular menu. Live music on its busiest nights gives it a grown-up dinner-party feel, and it's one of the better East Valley picks for a Halloween date. Plan your visit: Halloween touches through Oct 31. Live music generally Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; reserve for those nights. Adult-focused, with no highchairs or booster seats.

HULA'S Modern Tiki Uptown: HULAWEEN
5114 N 7th St Suite 1, Phoenix, AZ 85014
HULAWEEN adds Halloween cocktails, plus nonalcoholic versions, to HULA'S full island-meets-mainland menu at all three locations. It's the low-stress pick for a mixed group that wants dinner and something festive to drink, with no tickets or timed seatings. Plan your visit: Through Oct 31 at Uptown Phoenix (5114 N. Seventh St.), Old Town Scottsdale (7213 E. First Ave.) and High Street in North Phoenix (5450 E. High St.). Mostly walk-in, with a limited number of reservations.

The Mexicano (Phoenix): Día de los Muertos Brunch
4801 E Cactus Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254
The seasonal brunch menu runs to chicken-tinga chilaquiles, hot-chocolate pancakes and concha French toast, so this is a proper meal with a festive room around it. It also makes a good start to a long Halloween Saturday. Plan your visit: Brunch Oct 25 and Oct 31, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at 4801 E. Cactus Rd. in Phoenix and 3095 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler. Reserve at your chosen location.

Hash Kitchen: Hash-O-Ween
4315 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018
Hash Kitchen's DJ brunch is already a party, and Hash-O-Ween adds Monster Mimosas, a Dracula's Bloody Mary and Graveyard Cannoli Donuts. On Halloween morning the DJ plays spooky sets and you can make your own trick-or-treat tote for the night ahead. Bring friends who'd rather have music than a quiet catch-up. Plan your visit: Oct 29–31 at Valley locations (Arcadia, Gainey Ranch, Chandler, Gilbert, Arrowhead and Peoria). Join the waitlist for your location.
Year-Round Spooky Spots and Something Different
Not every good Halloween night needs a pop-up. These places have a dark streak all year, or swap another themed bar for a movie, a show or a brewery tour.

Hanny's
40 N 1st St, Phoenix, AZ 85004
Hanny's fills a 1947 men's clothing store, and its basement holds a collection of vintage dolls that guests toss coins toward. Peer down the old elevator shaft, now crossed with steel beams and plexiglass, for a dizzying view into that basement. Upstairs it's a polished bar and restaurant that serves late, so it doubles as dinner before Little Rituals or a show. Plan your visit: Year-round. Open until 1 a.m. daily with the kitchen until 12:30 a.m.; opens at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday–Friday and 5 p.m. other days.

Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour: Sip n' Flix
1 W Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85003
Bitter & Twisted is one of downtown's serious cocktail bars, set in the historic Luhrs Building with a famously long drinks menu and food to match. Its October movie nights end with The Rocky Horror Picture Show, an easy, seated late night that doesn't need a costume. Plan your visit: Rocky Horror screening Oct 29, 9 p.m., no cover. Separate costume event Oct 31. 21+.

Dark Hall Coffee
2243 N 12th St, Phoenix, AZ 85006
Dark Hall is a gothic-leaning coffee shop with moody interiors and plant-based pastries. It's the daytime, alcohol-free way to get some Halloween atmosphere, and it suits anyone who likes the look of the season more than the crowds. Plan your visit: Usually daily, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Coffee and pastries, not dinner.

Drunk Dracula at The Rose Theatre
455 N 3rd St Ste 1010, Phoenix, AZ 85004
The Drunk Shakespeare troupe's Halloween show: one cast member knocks back several shots at the top and then tries to get through a comic Dracula anyway. It runs about 90 minutes in an intimate theater-in-the-round, with drinks ordered from your seat. Make it the centerpiece of the night and eat before or after. Plan your visit: Through Nov 7. 21+. Tickets from about $29; snacks only.

Four Peaks 8th Street: Haunted Tours and Pumpkin Carving
1340 E 8th St, Tempe, AZ 85281
Four Peaks' original brewery runs haunted tours through its historic building on select October nights, and a pumpkin-carving night gives casual groups something to do with their hands over a beer. Neither needs a costume. Plan your visit: Tours on select nights through Oct 29; $40, 21+, closed-toe shoes required. Carving Oct 29, 5–8 p.m., $12; bring your own pumpkin and tools.
Halloween Night in Phoenix: Parties and Events
For the last weekend of October, these are the big nights out. Book anything with a ticket or a timeslot, and expect cover charges after 9 p.m. at the larger venues on Oct 31.

The Pemberton: Horror Movie Takeover
1121 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004
The Pemberton's compound has ten bars, each decorated for Halloween with touches like a Mystery Machine, a Scooby-Doo cutout and blood-splattered walls, plus food vendors, DJs and plenty of outdoor space. Big groups can drift between rooms without planning a crawl. Go on an ordinary October night for room to move, or on Halloween for the full party. Plan your visit: Thursday–Sunday from 6 p.m. through October, usually no cover. Cocktails & Carving Oct 29, 7–9 p.m. (listed at $25); Boo-lesque Oct 30, 7:30 p.m. (free general admission); Nightmare on Second Street Oct 31, with cover after 9 p.m. 21+.

The Phoenician: Halloween at the Resort
6000 E Camelback Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
The Phoenician spreads Halloween across the resort. Eerie Elegance is a spooked-up afternoon tea, and on Oct 31 The Legend of the Lost Monk sends you following clues around the property with Halloween cocktails along the way. Later that night there's a live trio at The Thirsty Camel and Monster Mash dueling pianos at The Phoenician Tavern. It's the polished way to celebrate without a nightclub. Plan your visit: Tea Oct 29–Nov 1, 2–3 p.m. seatings, reservations required. Lost Monk Oct 31, timeslots 6:30–8:30 p.m., $80 plus tax and fees, 21+. Dueling pianos Oct 31, 8–10 p.m., no cover, reservations requested. Each is booked separately.

Plan Your Halloween Night by Area
The Valley is too spread out for a single crawl, so pick one area and stay put.
- Arcadia: Book UnderTow or 36 Below (they're next door to each other) as the main event, eat nearby, then finish with a walk-in round at Sunny's, about a mile and a half west.
- Downtown Phoenix: Start at Little Rituals or Bitter & Twisted, have dinner at Hanny's and make Drunk Dracula the show. Add The Pemberton or Valley Bar only if the group wants a late party.
- Old Town Scottsdale: Have a first drink at Porter's, then Carnevil or The Hot Chick for dinner with décor, or Toca Madera for a dressed-up meal. Straight Up is a short drive away for a quiet last round.
- East Valley: Lucca in Chandler for dinner, UnderTow Gilbert for cocktails and The Mexicano in Chandler for brunch. These are separate drives, not a walking night.
