Thanksgiving in Atlanta can mean a Southern meal in a Midtown bungalow, an Italian buffet with turkey and rigatoni on the same plate, or a long afternoon beside the Chattahoochee. This guide covers the best restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, from Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead out to Sandy Springs, Vinings, Tucker, Marietta, Milton and Alpharetta.
Some are full productions with several courses and live entertainment. Others keep it simple: a cafeteria tray in Tucker or turkey sliders at a Midtown bar. Every pick has a confirmed 2026 holiday offer or standing Thanksgiving hours, plus a reason to choose it beyond the kitchen being open. Most confirmed menus sit along Peachtree and north of the city, so if you're on the east side, Matthews and Petite Violette are your closest options here.
Before you book: Prices are per person before tax, gratuity and drinks unless a card says otherwise, and any mandatory charge is noted on the card. Last updated October 2026.
Hosting at home instead? Our Atlanta Thanksgiving takeout and catering guide covers complete dinners, smoked turkeys, sides and pies.

Thanksgiving Dinner in Atlanta: Intown Picks
Fourteen picks inside the city, most of them along the Peachtree corridor from Downtown to Buckhead.

South City Kitchen Midtown
1144 Crescent Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
If you want Thanksgiving to taste like the South without anyone at home touching a stove, start here. Midtown's restaurant sits in a converted bungalow on Crescent Avenue; Buckhead is the more contemporary room, built around an open kitchen. Both serve a three-course holiday menu, and it's a comfortable fit for visiting parents or a small family that wants the day familiar and a little dressed up. Details: Three courses, $79 adults, $39 kids 12 and under, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. These prices apply to Midtown and Buckhead, so book the Thanksgiving experience at the location you want. Midtown, 1144 Crescent Avenue NE; Buckhead, 3350 Peachtree Road NE.

Mary Mac's Tea Room
224 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
Mary Mac's has been feeding Atlanta since 1945, and Thanksgiving is one of its busiest days of the year. It's the last of the city's original tearooms: six dining rooms on Ponce de Leon, walls of signed photos, and a Southern menu built on fried chicken, collards and cornbread dressing. Come for the most Atlanta version of the holiday, not the quietest one. Details: Open 10 a.m.–7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. No reservations on holidays, so it's first come, first served, and your whole party needs to be there before you're seated. The 2026 holiday menu and prices haven't been posted yet. Parking lot behind the restaurant on Myrtle Street. 224 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE; 404-876-1800.

5Church Midtown
1197 Peachtree St NE #528, Atlanta, GA 30361
This is the buffet for a family whose wish list keeps growing. Turkey and prime rib anchor the carving stations, with glazed ham, blackened salmon and chicken alongside, plus mac and cheese, collards, mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole. The $20 kids' rate is the lowest buffet rate we found for children. Midtown has the art-filled dining room; Buckhead is handier if you're staying north. Details: Buffet, $75 adults, $20 kids 12 and under, 11 a.m.; last seating 8:30 p.m. Two-hour table window. In Buckhead, book the main dining room if kids are coming, since the sunroom is 21 and over on Thursdays. Groups of five or more get an automatic 20% gratuity. Midtown, 1197 Peachtree Street NE; Buckhead, 3379 Peachtree Road NE.

Serena Pastificio
1197 Peachtree St NE Suite 140, Atlanta, GA 30361
Serena is the answer for the family that wants turkey but would be just as happy with a plate of pasta. The Italian buffet puts roast turkey, prime rib and salmon next to rigatoni Bolognese, wild-mushroom lasagna and braised short rib, with oysters and shrimp too. Sides lean Italian (fennel-pistachio stuffing, truffled mac and cheese), and the pumpkin cannoli and tiramisu are worth saving room for. At $70, it's the least expensive full buffet on this list. Details: Buffet, $70 adults, $25 kids 12 and under, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. It shares a street address with 5Church Midtown, so double-check which restaurant you're booking. 1197 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 140.

The Southern Gentleman
3035 Peachtree Rd NE A208, Atlanta, GA 30305
Buckhead Village's Southern gastropub sets out a buffet of the dishes people go back for: carved herb-roasted turkey, bourbon-glazed ham, buttermilk fried chicken and short-rib pot roast, with Southern sides and seasonal desserts. It's festive without being stiff, and the whiskey-focused bar is a real reason to pick it if a good cocktail is part of your holiday. Details: Buffet, $75 adults, $25 kids 12 and under, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. A 20% gratuity is added to every check. For seven or more, call about seating the group together. 3035 Peachtree Road NE, Suite A208.

Ray's in the City
240 Peachtree St, Atlanta, GA 30303
Pick Ray's in the City if passing dishes around the table is your favorite part of Thanksgiving. Downtown's Ray's serves its holiday meal family-style, with turkey, prime rib, ham and salmon plus the familiar sides and desserts. It's also an easy call for visitors staying in a Downtown hotel. Details: Family-style, $85 per guest, 10:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. The holiday meal is the only option that day. Kids' pricing isn't listed, so ask when you book. The other two Ray's restaurants serve buffets instead (see Around Metro Atlanta). 240 Peachtree Street NW.

Ruth's Chris Steak House Buckhead
Embassy Suites Hotel, 3285 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305
For $52 you get a starter, roast turkey breast with stuffing and sides, and pumpkin cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, which makes it one of the lowest-priced complete turkey dinners here. The bigger draw is the split table: traditionalists get Thanksgiving, and anyone who'd rather have a steak orders off the regular menu. Kids get a smaller turkey plate with ice cream. Details: Three-course turkey menu or regular menu, $52 adults, $21 kids 12 and under, 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m. No substitutions on the holiday menu. Buckhead, 3285 Peachtree Road NE; Downtown, 267 Marietta Street, inside the Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park.

Petite Violette
2948 Clairmont Rd, Atlanta, GA 30329
Four courses at a longstanding, family-run French restaurant: soup, salad, a main and dessert, with turkey among the entrées and the adult price set by the main you choose. The kids' meal is the standout at $9.95, with turkey, spaghetti or chicken fingers plus soup or salad and dessert. Details: Four courses, $69.95–$89.95 adults, $9.95 kids' meal, lunch and dinner seatings. The holiday menu replaces the regular one. Ask which ages qualify for the kids' price, and book online or by phone. 2948 Clairmont Road NE; 404-634-6268.

Le Colonial
3035 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305
Skip the turkey entirely. Le Colonial's French-Vietnamese holiday menu is built around tea-cured roast duck with bao and sticky rice, after a choice of starters such as duck-dumpling soup, and it ends with a five-spice pumpkin dessert. The dining room and veranda suit a couple or a small group that wants Thanksgiving to feel like a big night out, as long as everyone's excited about duck. Details: Three courses, $105 per person; hours on the booking page. There's a dress code, and a kids' menu is available. Pick a Thanksgiving seating when you reserve. 3035 Peachtree Road NE, Buckhead Village.

The Americano
3315 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326
The Americano is where Thanksgiving turns into a proper evening out. The menu opens with caviar-topped gnocco fritto and gives the holiday an Italian lean: turkey with pancetta-chestnut stuffing and Campari cranberry sauce, or prime New York strip or black cod instead. Sides come for the table, and dessert is pumpkin budino or apple crostata. Details: Multi-course, $155 adults, $75 ages 4–11, 3 and under free, 4–9 p.m. Reservations are prepaid, and drinks are extra. Mention dietary needs when you book. InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, 3315 Peachtree Road NE.

The Sun Dial
210 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303
You're paying for the view here: five courses high above Peachtree Street with the skyline as the backdrop. Mains include turkey roulade, filet mignon, salmon, short rib and a white-bean-and-asparagus ravioli. It's the one to book for out-of-town guests or a family marking a big year. Details: Five courses, $145 adults, $55 kids 12 and under, reservations 1–6 p.m. An 18% gratuity is added automatically. The ravioli and chocolate ganache tart are vegan, but call ahead if you need every course vegan. The dining room isn't rotating right now; the views are still the draw. Atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza, 210 Peachtree Street NW.

The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta (Grand Ballroom)
181 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303
The Grand Ballroom turns Thanksgiving into an event: a seasonal feast, desserts and live entertainment in a formal hotel setting. Book it for a multigenerational group that likes to dress up and make a long afternoon of it. The room and the show are part of what you're paying for. Details: $155 adults, $70 ages 3–12, 2 and under free, noon–5 p.m. Book the Grand Ballroom Thanksgiving feast specifically, and check the final total, including tax and gratuity, before you pay. Want something smaller? The hotel's AG restaurant serves à la carte Thanksgiving dishes, booked separately. 181 Peachtree Street NE.

Livingston
659 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
Livingston is for families who'd rather eat early and have the rest of the day free. The restaurant inside the Georgian Terrace puts citrus-brined turkey and smoked lamb on its carving stations, and the price includes live entertainment, Champagne and two hours of self-parking. The midday window works well with younger kids. Details: Buffet, $85 adults, $42.50 ages 5–12, under 5 free, reservations noon–3 p.m. Reservations are prepaid, and a 26% service charge (which includes gratuity) plus tax is added. The Georgian Terrace, 659 Peachtree Street NE.

The Office Bar
1105 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309
Not every Thanksgiving needs a table for twelve. The Office Bar runs Thanksgiving-week specials (turkey sliders, a sweet-potato-and-bacon flatbread, roast chicken and pumpkin bread pudding) alongside its regular menu, and its five big TVs make it a natural spot for the Thanksgiving NFL games. It's an easy plan for solo diners, couples and small groups. Details: Turkey sliders $17, flatbread $18, roast chicken $26; specials run November 23–28. No reservations. Holiday kitchen hours aren't posted, so check before a late visit. In the lobby of the 1105 West Peachtree office tower, across from the Epicurean hotel's motor entrance.
Thanksgiving Buffets and Dinners Around Metro Atlanta
Seven picks across Sandy Springs, Vinings, Tucker, Milton, Marietta and Alpharetta, for anyone staying outside the city or wanting the meal to feel like a destination.

The Select
6405 Blue Stone Rd Suite 200, Sandy Springs, GA 30328
Room to disagree about the main course is the selling point at this Sandy Springs brasserie. Everyone picks turkey, smoked ham, short rib or salmon plus two sides, while rolls, stuffing with gravy, and mac and cheese go in the middle of the table. It opens with squash soup or a fall salad and closes with pecan tart, apple crumble cake or pumpkin cheesecake. Details: Three courses, $89 adults, $39 kids under 12 (two courses), noon–6 p.m. Using the surface lot? Register your car with the posted QR code, even during the two free hours. The nearby garage is the other option. 6405 Blue Stone Road, Suite 200.

Ray's on the River
6700 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30339
Book Ray's on the River when the setting is half the point. It sits right on the Chattahoochee, which makes a holiday buffet feel like a small getaway without leaving the metro, and the long service window works for an early lunch or a later dinner. Ray's at Killer Creek in Alpharetta runs the same $85 buffet and hours for families farther north. Details: Buffet only, $85 per guest, 10:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. River-view tables aren't guaranteed, so ask when you book, and ask about kids' pricing too. Ray's on the River, 6700 Powers Ferry Road NW, Sandy Springs; Ray's at Killer Creek, 1700 Mansell Road, Alpharetta.

Matthews Cafeteria
2299 Main St, Tucker, GA 30084
Grab a tray. Matthews has been family-owned since 1955, and on Thanksgiving it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, which makes it the most relaxed and flexible plan on this list. It's a different kind of holiday from the hotel ballrooms and multi-course menus, and that's the point. Details: Cafeteria, 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Call for the Thanksgiving menu and dine-in prices, or if you're bringing a big group. 2299 Main Street, Tucker; 770-939-2357.

Old Vinings Inn
3011 Paces Mill Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339
A historic house, a Southern menu served at the table and an early finish make Old Vinings Inn a natural fit for a family lunch or early dinner. Fountain sodas, iced tea and drip coffee are included for everyone, which matters when you're comparing set-menu totals. Kids choose turkey, chicken fingers or mac and cheese, with a side and vanilla ice cream. Details: Three courses, $74.95 adults, $32 kids under 12, 11 a.m.; last seating 4 p.m. Add-ons cost extra, and the Attic Bar is closed for the holiday. 3011 Paces Mill Road SE, Vinings.

Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails
800 Mayfield Rd, Milton, GA 30009
Milton's is the destination pick for families based north of the city: a restored farmhouse and cottage in historic Crabapple. The buffet runs from smoked turkey and glazed ham to blackened salmon, fried chicken and braised short rib, with cornbread dressing, Gouda mac and cheese and the holiday casseroles. Carrot cake joins pumpkin, apple and pecan pies for dessert. Details: Buffet, $75 adults, $32.50 kids, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Ask which ages qualify for the kids' rate when you book. 800 Mayfield Road, Milton.

Mac's Chophouse
19 N Park Square, Marietta, GA 30060
Mac's settles the traditionalists-versus-steak debate on Marietta Square. It's serving a special turkey dinner and seasonal features with the full dinner menu available all day, so nobody has to commit to the same fixed meal. The square itself makes it feel like a day out. Details: Turkey dinner or regular menu, 11 a.m.–8 p.m. The 2026 turkey-dinner price isn't posted, so ask when you reserve, and book early if the whole group needs to sit together. 19 North Park Square, Marietta.

UP on the Roof
33 S Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009
The lowest-priced three-course Thanksgiving here comes with a rooftop. For $49 you get a salad, roast turkey with stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce, one extra side, and almond cake with apple-cranberry compote. The full dinner menu covers steak, seafood or vegetarian orders, and service runs until 10 p.m., the latest Thanksgiving service we confirmed. Details: Three-course turkey menu or regular menu, $49 per person, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Drinks are extra. If indoor or outdoor seating matters, request it when you book. 33 South Main Street, Alpharetta.
Planning Thanksgiving Dinner Out in Atlanta
Compare the whole family's total, not the adult price. Kids' age cutoffs vary a lot here: 12 and under at some places, under 12 or 3–12 at others, and a few let toddlers eat free. Add any automatic gratuity or service charge before you decide.
Book the exact location and experience. South City Kitchen, 5Church and Ruth's Chris each have two locations with Thanksgiving menus, and the Ritz-Carlton's ballroom feast and its AG restaurant are booked separately. Put kids in the party count so the restaurant can plan seating.
Show up early, and together, at the walk-in spots. Mary Mac's doesn't take holiday reservations and seats only complete parties, and The Office Bar is first come, first served. If your group can't sit apart, pick a place that takes reservations.
