A good office holiday party gives people a reason to stay after the first drink. That might be a private room above a favorite restaurant, a brewery with space to mingle or a few rounds of bowling with colleagues they rarely see outside a meeting.
Philadelphia does all three well. Barbuzzo and The Back Room at High Street are easy places to start for dinner, Yards for a bigger brewery party, McGillin's for Christmas atmosphere and Libertee Grounds for something to do. For the whole company, look at Estia, the Four Seasons or Reading Terminal Market after hours.
We've organized this by neighborhood, because the room that works is usually the one your team can get to. The table below shows every venue, and each entry names the room to ask for.

Rittenhouse and Logan Square
The west side of Center City has the widest choice, from a loft for 20 to a full buyout for hundreds, and it's an easy walk from most offices.

Harp & Crown
1525 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA
There are two very different parties here. Upstairs, chandeliers and high ceilings give dinner a dressed-up feel. Downstairs, Elbow Lane turns the night into cocktails and a little bowling, so you don't have to squeeze an activity into a dining room. Details: Group dining runs up to 20, with menus from $55 and a three-hour beer and wine package at $45. A main dining room buyout holds 140 seated or 220 standing. Elbow Lane and its two lanes are booked separately, and those packages don't cover it.

The Dandelion
124 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
The Dandelion doesn't need a wall of ornaments to feel right in December. Fireplaces, dark wood and a run of British pub rooms do the work, and the comfort food gets a department settled in for the night. Details: The private dining room seats 22 and the Big Room seats 45, and combined spaces take 70 seated. For drinks over dinner, the Dog Bar holds 25 seated or 35 standing.

Wilder
2009 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
Color, art and a menu built for sharing make Wilder a good antidote to the beige office party. Pizza and pasta keep it approachable, and a small team can tuck away upstairs while a bigger office takes a whole floor. Details: The private third floor seats 24, plus four counter seats that aren't at the same table. The second floor holds 80 seated or standing, with curtained semi-private sections for 34 or 43. A full buyout takes 145 seated or 150 standing.

The Love
130 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
This is the one for a small office that wants dinner to feel like a thank-you. The upstairs loft is a polished Rittenhouse room for seasonal American food, and the catch is the budget rather than the headcount. Details: The semi-private loft seats up to 20, with event menus from $95 per person. The minimum is $3,500 Sunday–Thursday and $6,000 Friday–Saturday, before tax, gratuity and a 6% event fee. The private bar and lounge cost extra.

SPIN Philadelphia
211 S 15th St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA
Ping-pong gives people who don't normally work together an easy opening line. Colleagues can play a round, swap partners and step away for food, so the night has some structure without anyone being on the hook all evening. Details: There are 16 tables and a private room with its own bar, seating and tables. Book the playing time and the party area together, with enough room for the people who'd rather watch.

Puttshack Philadelphia
1625 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
Indoor mini-golf in the middle of Center City is a real advantage when people are coming from several offices. The tech keeps score, which leaves the organizer free to think about food, drinks and a place to gather. Details: A full buyout holds up to 690 for an event, not a seated dinner. December parties go through the events team rather than online group booking, so the standard group price isn't a holiday quote. Guests must be 21+ after 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and the last tee time is 8 p.m.

Victory Brewing Philadelphia
1776 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
Victory is the call when the office is around the Parkway and the party needs to be easy to reach after work. It's a multi-level taproom with a full kitchen, so the night doesn't have to revolve around one kind of drink. Details: Prima is the private room, Liberty Bell is semi-private, and a full taproom buyout holds 450 without the patios. Every booking carries a food and beverage minimum.

Tír na nÓg
1600 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
Tír na nÓg makes sense when the priority is a convenient meeting point, familiar food and a drinks plan the organizer can control. It's a broad office crowd's kind of night, with no elaborate production. Details: The Whiskey Bar holds 30 seated or 50 reception, and the Back Stage and Front Stage are smaller options. The Atrium takes 50 seated or 120 reception, or 100 seated with rented tables. The whole pub holds 350 reception style.

Four Seasons Philadelphia
One N 19th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA
The Fairmount and Calder rooms sit on the 59th floor, and that view is the reason to spend the money. It's the pick when the company is hosting clients, marking a milestone or making the holiday party its big event of the year. Details: The Fairmount Room takes 50 banquet or 75 reception, and the Calder Room takes 40 or 50. Bigger parties move to the ballrooms on the fifth floor.

Midtown, Market East and Old City
This is the heart of Center City, from pub parties at $35 a head to seated banquets for 180, running east to Old City and the one party in this guide that happens on a ship.

Barbuzzo
110 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Barbuzzo is for the office that wants a properly good dinner, not a banquet with a holiday playlist. The upstairs has its own kitchen and bar, so the group gets a self-contained night without losing the warmth of a restaurant. Details: The private second floor takes 55 seated or 85 for a reception. Ask for the upstairs event space, not a large table in the main restaurant.

McGillin's Olde Ale House
1310 Drury St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Garland, lights and ornaments do the decorating for you at McGillin's, and the old pub keeps the night unpretentious. The package couldn't be simpler, but timing matters: this works far better as an early celebration or a weeknight than a late Saturday. Details: The Famous Party Package pairs a three-hour house open bar with a two-hour buffet for $35 Sunday–Thursday or $40 Friday–Saturday, tax and service included. Minimums are 50 and 60 guests. Upstairs events can run any time Sunday–Tuesday, and finish by 8 p.m. Wednesday–Thursday, 9 p.m. on select Fridays and 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Fergie's Pub
1214 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Fergie's is for a group that would rather talk than compete with a wall of televisions. The TV-free pub feels friendly and informal, with a sound system for a brief toast and familiar pub food with vegetarian choices. Details: Packages start at 25 guests, and the event space holds up to 65 with a private bathroom. Food starts at $30 and a three-hour open bar runs $80, plus food tax and 20% gratuity. The pub has quizzo, poetry and karaoke nights during the week, so check that your date is clear.

The Back Room at High Street
834 Chestnut St Ste 105, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
The Back Room gets a lot of unglamorous details right: a private entrance, a private bar and enough separation for the group to have its own evening. That makes it an easy choice for a leadership dinner or a party with a short welcome speech. Details: The room holds 35 seated or 50 standing, with street-level access. Menus can be prix fixe, family style or reception focused. The separate Back Bar takes 85 standing.

Vedge
1221 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Vedge makes vegetables the reason to book, not the accommodation at the end of the menu. The seasonal plant-based cooking and brownstone setting turn dinner into a proper celebration, whether or not anyone on the team is vegan. Details: Private dining takes up to 15, a semi-private room takes up to 25 and a buyout holds 80 seated or 100 standing. Share allergies in advance, since plant-based doesn't mean free of every allergen.

Bank & Bourbon
1200 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
For the person who has to make the whole plan work, Bank & Bourbon is a reassuring place to start. It's inside the Loews, with American cooking, a whiskey-focused bar and several room sizes for a mix of colleagues and clients. Details: The private Rye Room holds 16 seated or 25 reception, and the private Whiskey Room holds 40 or 60. Combined, they take 56 or 70. The Bourbon Room is semi-private at 26 or 50.

Reading Terminal Market
1136 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Few settings feel as connected to Philadelphia as Reading Terminal Market after the shoppers have gone home. Instead of one dinner table, the night revolves around exploring the food and running into colleagues, so think lively reception rather than quiet awards dinner. Details: Private after-hours events start at roughly 100 guests and scale well beyond that. Plan on a 7 p.m. start, after the market closes to shoppers.

Estia
1405-07 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA
This is the call for an office that wants everyone sitting down to a proper dinner. Greek food and a dedicated banquet setup suit a classic evening of welcome drinks, a meal and a few words of thanks. Details: Combined Banquet Rooms One and Two hold 180 at seated rounds, 150 with audiovisual equipment or 130 with a dance floor.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse
1428-1432 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA
The former bank gives Del Frisco's the drama of a classic company dinner, and steaks and wine make it a natural fit when clients or senior leadership are coming. There's enough infrastructure here for a presentation or an awards moment. Details: The full Vault holds 150 seated or 250 for cocktails, or 120 seated with the AV layout. Half the Vault takes 55–70 seated, and the Double Eagle rooms and the Furino suit 14–30.

F1 Arcade Philadelphia
1330 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA
Racing simulators give people an immediate shared activity, and food, drinks and social areas keep it from becoming hours of uninterrupted competition. Save a comfortable spot for colleagues who'd rather cheer than race. Details: The Briefing Room has 13 simulators, a private bar and screens. A full takeover holds up to 550 event guests with 80 simulators. The entry racing price isn't a party package, so price food, drinks and room access together.

Amada
217-219 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA
Passing plates is an easy way to keep a work dinner from feeling like a meeting. Amada's Spanish menu gives the group plenty to share, and a set event menu is much easier than a dozen people ordering at once. Details: Event areas include the Rosa Blanca Room, Matador Lounge and Front Bar. Food packages run from $60 to $90 per person, with beverages separate. Ask whether you're getting a private room or a defined area of the restaurant.

Royal Boucherie
52 S 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA
The upstairs Parlour has what a grown-up holiday party needs: character, French-inspired food and a bar reserved for the group. Mahogany and mirrors give it a sense of occasion without a formal dress code. Details: The private Parlour takes 40 seated or 50 standing. Keep the party inside for winter, since the adjoining patio isn't temperature controlled.

Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen
126 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA
Glory suits an office that would rather celebrate at an independent neighborhood restaurant than a dedicated events venue. Beer is a big part of the appeal, but the kitchen and spacious dining room make it about dinner too. Details: Groups of more than 10 book through the restaurant's event contact, who'll work out the room and seating with you.

Moshulu
401 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA
Celebrating aboard a ship changes the mood before the first drink arrives. It's a memorable setting for colleagues or out-of-town guests, with waterfront and skyline views, and it can handle anything from a small dinner to a bigger party. Details: Options include the State Room, the Chef's Table and covered, temperature-controlled decks. Ask for a heated, weather-protected space, and check the route to it, including stairs and bathrooms.
Fishtown, Northern Liberties and North Broad
This is the strongest part of town for breweries and bowling. Fishtown adds good food in rooms that don't feel corporate, and North Broad brings two big Italian dining rooms. For a looser bar night with the same breweries, see our Philadelphia bars for large groups guide.

Wm. Mulherin's Sons
1355 N Front St, Philadelphia, PA 19122, USA
Wood-fired Italian food and warm rooms make Mulherin's an easy place to picture on a cold night. Choose it when the food and setting are the reward, and the schedule can stay simple: a drink, a generous meal and time together. Details: The Wood Oven Room seats 26 and the Main Dining Room seats 42, and both are buyouts. The garden is a separate space, so ask for an entirely indoor plan.

Suraya
1528 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125, USA
Suraya is for the group whose first question is what it'll eat, not whether there'll be a DJ. Lebanese and Levantine cooking lends itself to a generous shared meal, and a lunch here can be just as good a celebration as dinner. Details: Lunch, brunch and dinner events go through the events team, with a set dinner menu of five mezze and four entrées at $95 per person. Ask about the indoor layout and level of privacy, since a group booking isn't automatically a private room.

Middle Child Clubhouse
1232 N Front St, Philadelphia, PA 19122, USA
Middle Child is the answer when the office wants a fun night together, not a formal banquet. The Thousand Island Lounge gives a small team its own place to settle in, and bigger parties can take over the bar or the whole restaurant. Details: The private Thousand Island Lounge takes dinner parties of 8–20, starting at $40 per person. Bar dinners for 15–22 and standing parties for 40–60 are semi-private, and a full buyout takes 60–120. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays are discounted.

Other Half Brewing Philadelphia
1002 Canal St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
Other Half works for a team that likes a brewery party but doesn't want to disappear into a crowded taproom. The private dining room gives a smaller group a home base, with a TV for a few photos or a short presentation. Details: The private dining room is for 15–30 guests, and semi-private taproom events run from 30–200. Check how many people will actually have a dinner seat.

Philadelphia Distilling
25 E Allen St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
A 30-foot marble bar with copper stills behind it beats another hotel lounge as a backdrop. It's best for a cocktail reception built around conversation and drinks, with in-house catering so the food isn't an afterthought. Details: Corporate and social events run from 20–150 guests across different spaces, including the fourth-floor cocktail lab. Include good alcohol-free drinks in the package.

Yards Brewing Company
500 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
Yards combines a casual brewery setting with the practical pieces a bigger party needs. The upstairs room has its own bar and audiovisual equipment, so it can handle a welcome drink, dinner and a short thank-you without anyone improvising. Details: Upstairs is fully private, with elevator access and space for 120 seated or 200 cocktail-style. The furniture package covers 60, so a bigger dinner means adding more. The private Garage takes up to 50, with pool and darts.

North Bowl
909 N 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
North Bowl is for colleagues who'd enjoy a little competition but don't need the night to feel slick. Bowling, lounge space, pool and arcade games give people several ways to join in, and the upstairs works if the group wants a home base. Details: Private events start at 15 guests and need at least two weeks' notice. Full-service packages include a buffet, drinks and setup and service, and weekend and holiday minimums can apply.

Love City Brewing: Callowhill
1023 Hamilton St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
Beer, pizza and room to move between conversations is a perfectly good holiday party plan. Love City's original brewery is built for that kind of night, with the tanks and industrial setting doing most of the decorating. Details: The Lounge is semi-private for 15–35 seated, the Brewery area takes 50–75 cocktail-style and the Taproom takes 200 or more. All of them use the main bar. Viva Pizzas handles the food, and outside food isn't allowed.

Triple Bottom Brewing
915 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
Triple Bottom suits organizers who want a neighborhood brewery and more say in what everyone eats. South Philly Barbacoa is now the house food partner, and drinks go beyond beer to cocktails and local wine. A daytime party works here too. Details: Private events run from 20–60 across indoor and outdoor areas, with full buyouts up to 140 on select days. The team can cater or work with a caterer you choose. Ask for an indoor-only layout in December.

Osteria
640 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19130, USA
Osteria is for the office that would happily spend the whole night eating. Family-style Italian food gives the table a natural rhythm, and the Wine Room and glass-enclosed Greenhouse are two distinct settings. Details: The Wine Room takes 35 seated or 45 standing, and the Greenhouse takes 65 or 75. The Kitchen Table seats 14, with private events from 6 p.m. Choose an indoor room rather than the outdoor pergola.

Cicala at the Divine Lorraine
699 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA
Cicala is the choice when the night should feel a little grand. Chandeliers, velvet booths and an antique Italian bar give the room its personality, while Southern Italian cooking keeps dinner at the center. Details: A full dining-room buyout holds 110 seated or 150 for cocktails, including the bar and lounge. A curtained half buyout is semi-private for up to 50, and the bar and lounge alone host a standing reception for up to 30.

Libertee Grounds
1600 W Girard Ave Ste C5, Philadelphia, PA 19130, USA
The whole night doesn't have to depend on the game at Libertee Grounds. Indoor mini-golf gives colleagues something easy to do together, and Asian-inspired bar food, local beer and cocktails give them a reason to linger between rounds. Details: Events are organized around groups of 25–39, 40–75 and 75-plus, with customizable food and drink packages. Check course access and playing times alongside the gathering area.
South Philly, University City and Manayunk
These five keep the party close to offices outside Center City.

Rex at the Royal
1524 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19146, USA
The former Royal Theatre gives Rex a sense of occasion before anyone raises a glass, and Southern-inspired food keeps it welcoming. Wine tastings and mixology classes make it a good middle ground for colleagues who want a shared experience without a tournament. Details: The events team handles 10–200 guests across small gatherings, larger receptions and tasting or class formats. Pick the room, menu and activity together.

Brauhaus Schmitz
718 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA
Brauhaus Schmitz is for the office whose ideal party involves hearty food, German beer and a cheerful room, not a quiet tasting menu. It suits a reception where people drift between conversations. Details: In-house events go through the private party inquiry, and parties of 20 or more book with the events team. Ask for the specific area and its seated or standing layout.

South Bowl
19 E Oregon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148, USA
South Bowl gives a South Philadelphia office a lively activity without sending everyone into Center City. Multiple indoor bowling areas let the party take different shapes, with pool and arcade games filling the gaps between turns. Details: Private events start at 20 guests and need at least two weeks' notice. Each one requires a buffet, a beverage package and a setup and service fee, and weekend and holiday minimums can apply.

White Dog Cafe University City
3420 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19104, USA
For an office around University City, White Dog is a way to celebrate without sending everyone across town. Its brownstone rooms and dog-themed character feel more personal than a function space, and a lunch here can beat another commitment on a busy December night. Details: The Oak Room seats 12 and the enclosed downstairs Wine Cellar seats up to 30, with larger arrangements available. Go through the University City events team, since the other White Dog locations have different rooms.

Love City Brewing: Manayunk
4323 Main St, Philadelphia, PA 19127, USA
Love City's newer location is a different proposition from the original brewery: an upstairs event floor with its own character rather than a section of the main taproom. It's a good fit for teams based around Manayunk who don't need a Center City venue. Details: The private Main Stage hosts 30–45 seated or up to 75 cocktail-style. The Game Room takes 15–25 cocktail-style, with shuffleboard and pinball. Sophie's BBQ handles the food here.
What Does an Office Holiday Party Cost in Philadelphia?
The venues below run from $35 to about $115 per person, and only McGillin's includes tax and service. These are starting points, so compare full proposals for your date.
| Venue | Starting point | What it buys | What's extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| McGillin's | $35–$40 per person | Three-hour open bar and two-hour buffet | Nothing: tax and service are included |
| Middle Child Clubhouse | $40 per person | Dinner in the Thousand Island Lounge | Tax and tip |
| Amada | $60–$90 per person | Event food menu | Beverages, tax and gratuity |
| Harp & Crown | About $100 per person | $55 dinner and $45 three-hour beer and wine package | Tax, gratuity and event fee |
| Fergie's Pub | About $110 per person | $30 food and $80 three-hour open bar | Food tax and 20% gratuity |
| White Dog Cafe | About $115 per person | $70 three-course dinner and $45 bar package for 2.5 hours | Bar fees, staffing charge and tax |
| The Love | $3,500–$6,000 minimum | Semi-private loft for up to 20 | Tax, gratuity and 6% event fee |
A room minimum isn't a menu price: if the group spends less, you can still owe the difference. For bowling, mini-golf or racing, the headline game price usually leaves out the room, food and drinks.
Tips for Booking a Philadelphia Office Holiday Party
Book now. December Thursdays and Fridays go first. Give the events team a few dates, including early December, a weeknight, a lunch or January. If the budget only stretches to drinks, a Philadelphia happy hour is the cheaper version of the same evening.
Ask for the whole bill. Get the room, event length, food, drinks, minimum, fees and gratuity in one proposal. Then check the deposit, the final headcount deadline and what happens if the group shrinks.
Plan for everyone. Gather dietary needs early, offer proper alcohol-free drinks and make sure non-players have somewhere to sit. Check step-free access to the actual party room and restrooms, not just the front door.
