A good Philly happy hour can be the whole plan: a dozen oysters and a glass of bubbles, karaage and a highball, or a $4 draft somewhere with personality. The best ones are places you'd go at full price, and the discount is the bonus.

This guide covers 39 happy hours across Philadelphia, from Center City and Rittenhouse to Fishtown, East Passyunk, University City and Manayunk, each with the days, hours, prices and seating rules it posts. We've also pulled the Saturday, Sunday and late-night windows into their own tables, because those are the hardest to find. Everything was checked in October 2026.

Every Philly Happy Hour at a Glance

All 39 happy hours in one place, sorted by neighborhood. Loco Pez gets a row for each of its three locations. The full details and seating rules are in each listing below.

Happy Hours in Center City and Rittenhouse

Center City and Rittenhouse have the most polished after-work options in the city. Oyster House, Giuseppe & Sons and Harp & Crown sit within a few doors of each other on the 1500 block of Sansom Street, so if one bar is full, the next is a short walk away.

Oyster House

Oyster House

1516 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA

The Mink family has been shucking on Sansom Street since 1976, and the oyster plates covering the walls trace back to Sam Mink's collection. It picked up a James Beard America's Classics award in 2026. The window is short and there are no happy-hour reservations, so come close to 4 and order a dozen at the bar. Happy hour: Tue–Fri, 4–6pm, bar area only. The deal: $2 oysters, plus snack and drink specials.

Giuseppe & Sons

Giuseppe & Sons

1523 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA

A pizza and a parm with a cocktail is a full meal here, and the deal runs on weekends too. The downstairs ristorante is a moody, photo-lined room, but a dining-room reservation won't get you the happy-hour menu. Happy hour: Daily, 4–6pm, in the bar and lounge. The deal: $7 selected cocktails, $6 wine or rotating draft, $5 daily pizza, $7 sandwiches (including a chicken parm), $8 meatballs or fried calamari. Happy hour is served in the bar and lounge only.

Harp & Crown

Harp & Crown

1525 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA

Next door to Giuseppe & Sons, Harp & Crown has two things most Center City happy hours don't: a Saturday window and a 7pm finish. The plates list is long enough to eat properly, and there's a bowling alley downstairs if the night keeps going. Happy hour: Mon–Sat, 4–7pm, in the bar and lounge, walk-in. The deal: $7 cocktails including the Sansom Soda and Sunset Kiss, $6 featured wine, $5 featured beer, and a list of bar plates including a cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich, lamb meatballs and the daily pizza.

Good Dog Bar

Good Dog Bar

224 S 15th St, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA

Three floors of dog photos, a pool table and darts up top, and the Roquefort-stuffed burger that made the bar's name. Happy hour starts at 3, earlier than almost anywhere else in Center City, and the half-price drafts are the reason to come. The burger is full price; the small bites are the discounted food. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 3–6pm. The deal: Half-price drafts and small bites, $5 mixed drinks, $6 wines.

Wilder

Wilder

2009 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

Wilder fills a three-story building that used to house a dance academy, with Persian rugs on the walls and pizza ovens in the open kitchen. It's our top pick because the menu covers every direction a small group might want to go: oysters, a real cocktail list, pizza, and a priced nonalcoholic drink for whoever isn't drinking. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4:30–6:30pm, at the bar, lounge and outside, walk-in only. The deal: $9 selected cocktails, $8 selected wines, $5 selected beers, $6 Bitter Symphony (nonalcoholic), $2 chef's-choice oysters, $5 ricotta-and-honey toast, $7 stuffed arancini, $12 pizza.

Dear Daphni

Dear Daphni

125 S 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

A ground-floor room in The Laurel with striped booths and a marble counter. Dips, dumplings and kebabs make a good sharing order, and the deal runs every day, which is rarer around Rittenhouse than it should be. Happy hour: Daily, 4–6pm. The deal: $7 selected cocktails, $6 draft wine, $5 lager, $5 hummus or daily dip, $7 manti, $7 chicken köfte kebab, $8 keftedes meatballs. The discounted cocktails are two specific picks, not the full list.

dancerobot

dancerobot

1710 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

Jesse Ito and Justin Bacharach's Japanese comfort-food bar opened in 2025 in a brick room hung with VHS-era movie posters, with Studio Ghibli films projected on the wall. The happy-hour food goes well past a token snack: karaage and a highball for a quick one, or a bowl of ramen if you're staying. Happy hour: Tue–Fri, 4–6pm. The deal: $7 highball, $8 featured cocktail, $6 beer or wine, $7 sake, $6 karaage, $7 egg-salad sando, $10 chicken ramen.

Bar Bombón

Bar Bombón

133 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

Everything on the menu is plant-based, including the Philly steak empanada, which is made with Impossible meat. That makes it the obvious call when someone in the group is vegan, and the Friday and Saturday 9pm window works after dinner too. It's a small Old San Juan–style room, so bigger groups should come early. Happy hour: Wed 5–6pm; Thu–Fri 3–6pm; Fri–Sat 9–11pm. The deal: $10 classic margarita, $10 selected wine, $6 selected beer, $6 Buffalo cauliflower bowl or Philly steak empanada, other bites $8. The margarita price doesn't include flavor or size upgrades.

Rosy's Taco Bar, Rittenhouse

Rosy's Taco Bar, Rittenhouse

2220 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

Everything on the happy-hour menu costs the same, and the front bar's windows open onto Walnut Street in good weather. The window is early and skips Friday, so this one suits an early finish. If you're working a normal day, Rosy's East near South Street runs its own deal until 6. Happy hour: Mon–Thu, 3–5pm, dine-in. The deal: A $5 menu with the classic house margarita, selected drafts, nachos, quesadillas, selected tacos and churros.

Pine Street Grill

Pine Street Grill

2227 Pine St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA

A narrow room with one long bar, a white stamped-metal ceiling and half the seats held for walk-ins. The happy hour is only an hour long, so it rewards living nearby. Later in the evening, a separate $20 burger-and-draft special takes over. Happy hour: Mon and Wed–Fri, 4–5pm (closed Tuesday). The deal: $2 off all drafts, including draft cocktails; $10 rosé; $8 croquettes, loaded fries, chicken quesadilla or stuffed mushrooms.

Happy Hours in Midtown Village, Chinatown and Old City

Four of the city's most useful happy hours sit a few doors apart on the 100 block of South 13th Street, all running until 7pm. Yakitori Boy is a short walk north in Chinatown, and Old City adds oysters at Royal Boucherie and half-price drafts inside a 19th-century bank.

Double Knot

Double Knot

120 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA

Upstairs is a bright café-bar; downstairs is a candlelit izakaya behind an unmarked door. If you want happy hour to be the meal, this is the place: a roll, a few skewers and dumplings add up to a full dinner, any day of the week. Happy hour: Daily, 4–7pm, walk-in only. The deal: $7 selected cocktails, $6 wine or sake, $5 featured beer, $8 rolls, $5–7 robatayaki skewers, $9 dumplings or bao. A dinner reservation is a separate booking and doesn't cover happy hour.

Sampan

Sampan

124 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA

Sampan's dining room is loud and lit up, with an open kitchen and a backlit mural, and the menu is built for sharing. On weekdays, walk down the fenced alley to Graffiti Bar, a 30-seat enclosed patio out back that's heated in winter. Happy hour: Daily, 4–7pm; Graffiti Bar Mon–Fri, 4–7pm. The deal: $5 featured cocktail, beer, house wine or house sake; $9 selected cocktails; $8–9 dumplings, bao, wings, skewers and sides.

Pearl & Mary

Pearl & Mary

114 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA

An exposed-brick oyster bar with a shucking station and big front windows. Because it runs every day until 7, it's the oyster happy hour that still works on a Saturday. Someone can order a dozen and a daiquiri while someone else gets the fish sandwich. Happy hour: Daily, 4–7pm, at the bar and raw bar. The deal: $2 oysters, $1 clams, $7 cocktails including Mary's Daiquiri, $6 wine, $5 featured beer, $7 smash burger or sandwiches including the fish sandwich, $4 fries.

Darling Jack's Tavern

Darling Jack's Tavern

104 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA

Velvet booths, green glazed brick and a marble bar with checkerboard stools: Darling Jack's looks more expensive than its happy hour. The drinks are the classics people actually order, and a burger or tavern pizza covers the food. In colder months, plan on the bar. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4–7pm, at the bar and outdoor tables, walk-in only. The deal: $8 Old Fashioned, Mule, Aperol Spritz or blood-orange margarita; $7 wine; $5 beer; $7 smash burger; $10 cheese pizza.

Yakitori Boy

Yakitori Boy

211 N 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA

A Chinatown karaoke staple since 2007, with a dining room and bar downstairs and private karaoke rooms above. Skewers and a sake carafe make a cheap start, and if the group wants to keep going, the karaoke is right upstairs. It's also one of the few Sunday happy hours on this list. Happy hour: Tue–Fri and Sun, 5–7pm. The deal: $7 signature cocktails, $5 cans, $7 wine, $10 sake carafe, yakitori from $4 for two skewers, $5 gyoza or takoyaki, $7.50 mini poke bowl.

Royal Boucherie

Royal Boucherie

52 S 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA

Nicholas Elmi's French tavern has a fireplace, a leather-and-wood dining room and an upstairs parlor. Unusually, the deal applies anywhere in the restaurant, so you can take a table instead of fighting for bar stools. Oysters and bubbles is the order. Happy hour: Wed–Fri, 4–6pm, throughout the restaurant. The deal: $2 oysters, $15 six oysters with a glass of sparkling wine, $7 house wine, $5 selected drafts, $10 selected cocktails, $7 short-rib sliders, $9 fried-chicken sandwich.

National Mechanics

National Mechanics

22 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19106, USA

The bar sits inside an 1836 Greek Revival bank building on 3rd Street, columns and all. After work it's half-price drafts and bar food until 7; on weekend nights, a separate late menu keeps a round cheap. Wednesday is trivia and Tuesday is karaoke. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4–7pm; late happy hour Fri–Sun, 9–11pm. The deal: Weekdays: half-price drafts, $5 draft cocktail, $2 off specialty cocktails and wine, $8 selected food. Late: $5 draft cocktail, $5 selected drafts, $7 well drinks. The weekday food prices don't carry over to the late menu.

Happy Hours in South Philly

From South Street and Graduate Hospital down to the Passyunk strip, this is where you'll find the cheapest drafts in the guide, one of the best food values and most of the city's margarita deals. Loco Pez's Graduate Hospital location is covered in the University City and West Philly section.

Tattooed Mom

Tattooed Mom

530 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA

The upstairs is a running street-art gallery covered in wheat pastes and stickers, with pool tables and seats pulled from amusement-park rides. The drafts are cheap every day, weekends included, and the long vegan menu means nobody's stuck with fries. Pick your night by the food special. Happy hour: Daily, 4–6pm. The deal: All drafts $4. Weekly food: $7 vegan sandwiches Monday, $1.50 beef or bean tacos Tuesday, $6 classic or vegan smashburgers Wednesday, 75-cent pierogi Thursday. Groups of eight or more in the first-floor dining room get a 20% gratuity.

Rosy's Taco Bar East

Rosy's Taco Bar East

624 S 6th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA

The same $5 margarita as the Walnut Street location, on a schedule that fits a workday. Upstairs, the Segundo Piso lounge has DJs on later nights. The late taco menu is food only; the afternoon drink prices don't apply. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4–6pm, at the bar; late-night tacos Thu–Sat, 10pm–midnight. The deal: $5 house margarita, selected drafts and food, $7 wine. Late night: $1 carnitas, chicken-tinga or mushroom tacos, three of one kind per order.

The Sidecar Bar & Grille

The Sidecar Bar & Grille

2201 Christian St, Philadelphia, PA 19146, USA

A corner bar at 22nd and Christian with a long craft-beer list. The sandwich-and-beer combo is one of the best food values in the guide, even after the service charge, and Friday adds a late window. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4–6pm; Friday, 10pm–midnight. The deal: $10 burger, Buffalo-chicken or fish sandwich with chips and a selected beer, plus discounted drafts, domestics, well drinks and wine. An 18% service charge applies to happy-hour checks. Swapping chips for fries costs extra.

Cantina Los Caballitos

Cantina Los Caballitos

1651 Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148, USA

Barcelona Wine Bar

Barcelona Wine Bar

1709 Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148, USA

Barcelona is a national tapas chain, but the Passyunk room earns its place with a marble U-shaped bar and a plant-lined patio. Half-price bottles of bubbles make it the celebratory pick on this side of town. The mini cocktails are exactly that, smaller pours. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 4–6pm. The deal: $7 mini cocktails (espresso martini, dirty martini, gimlet, cosmo), half-price sherry and sparkling-wine bottles, cured meats and cheeses at $5.50 for one, $10 for two or $14.50 for three.

La Llorona

La Llorona

1551 W Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145, USA

A neighborhood Mexican restaurant on West Passyunk whose weekday window runs until 7, which leaves time to get across town after work. Weekend afternoons are bar-only. Order a couple of tacos with the margarita and share nachos while everyone decides. Happy hour: Tue–Fri, 4–7pm; Sat 2–5pm and Sun 3–6pm at the bar. The deal: $7 house margarita or red sangria, $9 bartender's-choice cocktail, $5 Victoria, $3.50 tacos (most fillings), $4 asada tacos, $7 nachos.

Happy Hours in Fishtown, Northern Liberties and Kensington

Northern Liberties brings half-price margaritas and a diner-car garden. Farther up, R&D, Fette Sau and Frankford Hall sit side by side on the 1200 block of Frankford Avenue, which makes a three-stop happy hour easy to plan, and Nemi is the pick in Port Richmond. Loco Pez's Fishtown location is covered in the University City and West Philly section.

Silk City

Silk City

435 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, USA

A 1952 diner car attached to a heated, enclosed garden and a lounge with live bands and weekend DJs. The deal: $5 small bites (mac and cheese, hummus, bacon cheese dog, nachos, whipped ricotta), $5 sangria, $21 sangria pitchers, $6 wine, $5 drafts. Groups of five or more get a 20% gratuity.

El Camino Real

Texas barbecue meets Mexican food on 2nd Street, and the half-price house margarita has been the weekday draw for years. The weekend brunch window is the rarer find. Happy hour: Mon–Fri, 5–7pm; brunch happy hour Sat–Sun, 10am–noon. The deal: Half-price El Camino margaritas (the Cadillac is excluded), $3 selected beers, $5 selected appetizers Mon and Wed–Fri; weekends, half-price mimosas and Bloody Marys. Philly Happy Hour Tips

Sit where the deal is. Many of these only apply at the bar or in a bar area, including Oyster House, Pearl & Mary, Giuseppe & Sons, Harp & Crown, Osteria and Rosy's East, and several are walk-in only. Royal Boucherie is the exception, with happy hour throughout the restaurant.

Check for added charges. The Sidecar adds 18% to happy-hour checks and El Camino Real adds 20% to every check. White Dog and New Deck add card fees, and several places add a gratuity for larger groups. The cards above say where.

Check before you go. Every schedule was checked on October 21, 2026, but happy hours change, and holidays and Eagles games can shift them. If one deal is the whole reason for the trip, look at the venue's menu that day.
