Best Halloween Houses on the Upper East Side NYC (2026) ๐
Where to find the best decorated brownstones, haunted houses, and trick-or-treating streets in NYC.

If you've ever walked around the Upper East Side in October, you know some of these brownstones take Halloween VERY seriously.
We're talking giant skeletons, elaborate decorations, spooky front stoops, and houses that look like they belong in a haunted movie.
I put together a map of 28 Halloween houses around the Upper East Side so you can find them all without wandering aimlessly!
๐ป Where to Find the Best Halloween Houses
East 93rd Street
This is one of the biggest clusters on the map, with six houses right near each other. If you're looking to see a bunch of decorations without walking all over Manhattan, this is a great place to start.
East 70th & 71st Streets
Another area with a ton of houses on the map! There are multiple stops along both streets, so you can easily make a little Halloween walking tour out of it.
East 73rd & 74th Streets
There are several more houses scattered around these blocks, making them a great addition to your walk through the East 70s.
East 60s
Don't skip the lower part of the UES! There are also houses worth checking out around East 61st, 64th, and 67th Streets.
๐บ๏ธ How to Use This Map
I've saved all 28 houses in one RoamRecs collection so you can see exactly where they are, find the ones closest to you, and plan your own Halloween walk.
Whether you're looking for somewhere to take the kids, planning a festive date night, or just love seeing NYC brownstones decorated for Halloween, this guide is for you.
A quick note: Decorations change every year, so I can't guarantee every house will have the same setup in 2026. But these are all locations featured on a community-created UES Halloween map and are great starting points for exploring!
Save this map for October, and let me know if you know of any other amazing Halloween houses I should add!
Happy Halloween!! ๐
