Tinsel-covered pop-ups, rooftop fire pits, heated igloos and a Mariah Carey bar across Atlanta, Decatur and the metro.

Atlanta does Christmas drinks with personality. There are rooms buried in tinsel, rooftop fire pits, a Decatur tiki bar that goes full holiday, heated igloos above Ponce City Market and, new this year, a Mariah Carey bar at Pullman Yards. The right pick depends on the night you want: serious cocktails, dinner with the decorations, something to do between rounds, or as much Christmas as one room can hold.
This guide covers 20 holiday bars and pop-ups across Atlanta and Decatur, plus four metro destinations worth their own evening. It's organized by area, so you can plan around where you'll already be, and every entry includes the booking detail that actually matters.
A note on 2026 dates: holiday announcements are still rolling in. Each entry is labeled Dates announced, Confirmed, dates to come or Watch for 2026 details (favorites from past seasons that haven't posted this year's plans). January and February end dates fall in 2027.

Midtown Christmas bars and holiday pop-ups
Midtown has the city's tightest cluster of holiday bars, which makes it the easiest place to pair dinner and a second stop without a long drive in between.

Santa's Hideaway at AltaToro
33 Peachtree Pl NE, Atlanta, GA 30309, USA
Dates announced: Nov. 20, 2026–Jan. 10, 2027. Reservations are open. AltaToro wraps its heated, enclosed patio in lights and garlands and serves its full Latin-inspired menu alongside the holiday cocktails. It's the Midtown pick when the outing needs a real dinner, and since all ages are welcome, it works for families and mixed groups. Friday and Saturday fire shows give you a reason to stay for dessert. Plan your visit: Reserve "Santa's Hideaway" specifically when you book. Everyone orders, but there's no minimum spend. Fire shows run Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30–10 p.m.

Virtue Rooftop Holiday Bar
1197 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30361, USA
Dates announced: Nov. 27–Dec. 27, nightly from 5 p.m. 21+. The rooftop at 5Church Midtown goes full holiday, with a decorated indoor bar to duck into and an outdoor deck with heaters and fire pits for the skyline. Come for cocktails and shareable plates rather than a sit-down dinner. The s'mores board is the seasonal order. Plan your visit: Walk-in only, first come, first served, and 21+. Private events can close the rooftop, so call 404-400-3669 before heading over.

Miracle on 10th Street at Park Tavern
500 10th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309, USA
Dates announced: Opens Nov. 28. Pricing and booking details are coming. Park Tavern gives you something to do between drinks: covered ice skating beside Piedmont Park, plus a decorated Christmas bar, seasonal cocktails and food in indoor and covered spaces. Skate first, then settle in. It suits a playful date, a group that can't agree on one plan, or a family outing where the adults still want a drink. Plan your visit: Skating is a separate purchase, and the free RSVP doesn't include it. This is Park Tavern's own event, not the Miracle on Monroe pop-up.

Miracle on Monroe at Après Diem
931 Monroe Dr NE St C103, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA
Confirmed, dates to come. Booking details haven't been released. Miracle on Monroe was Atlanta's first Christmas pop-up cocktail bar, and it's still the one to pick if you want the full treatment: tinsel on every surface, nostalgic decorations and a cocktail list built entirely around Christmas. This year Après Diem hosts. Make it the main event of the night rather than a quick stop between reservations. Plan your visit: Après Diem sits in Midtown Promenade, beside Midtown Art Cinema. Don't assume the restaurant's regular booking rules apply to the pop-up.

The Blind Elf at Tin Lizzy's Midtown
77 12th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309, USA
Confirmed, dates to come. New location for 2026. Blind Elf is back with a new home at Tin Lizzy's Midtown. The draw is the decorations, with Christmas covering every wall, plus seasonal cocktails and festive food in the same room. If you went in past years, note the move before you head out. Plan your visit: Holiday party inquiries are open. Individual bookings, menus and any packages haven't been announced.
East side Atlanta and Decatur holiday bars
The east side is where neighborhood bars do Christmas: smaller rooms, stronger cocktail programs, and easy pairings with dinner nearby. Several favorites here haven't posted 2026 plans yet, so check the labels before you build a night around one.

Holiday Bar at The Den (BeetleCat)
299 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, USA
Dates announced: Late November–Dec. 31. The booking window opens Nov. 25. The Den is BeetleCat's downstairs lounge, and it already has a 1970s feel before the tinsel goes up. Add holiday cocktails and a seasonal makeover and it's one of the strongest date-night options on this list. Start with oysters upstairs, then head down for another round. Plan your visit: Book the experience labeled "2026 Holiday Bar at The Den." A standard BeetleCat reservation may seat you in a different room. Parties of one to 10.

Mariah Carey's Holiday Bar at Pullman Yards
225 Rogers St NE, Atlanta, GA 30317, USA
Dates announced: Opens Nov. 19. The Atlanta ticket waitlist is open; prices and the closing date are coming. The Queen of Christmas brings her holiday bar to Atlanta for the first time this year. Expect Christmas glamour, themed photo moments and cocktails made with her Black Irish cream liqueur. If your group already knows which song goes on first, this is your night. It's a ticketed, themed outing, so build the evening around it. Plan your visit: Join the waitlist on the official Atlanta ticket page. It's 21+. Check session times and what the ticket includes once sales open.

Igloos at 9 Mile Station
Ponce City Market, 1829, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA
Dates announced: Nov. 27, 2026–Feb. 14, 2027. Reservations are open. A heated igloo on the roof above Ponce City Market gives your group its own decorated space, with food, cocktails and the skyline all around. Each one seats up to six for two hours, and general admission to The Roof is included. Book it for a birthday, a double date or friends visiting from out of town. Plan your visit: Rental is $150 for Sunday–Thursday dinner and weekend brunch, or $200 for Friday–Saturday dinner, plus a $25 per-person food-and-drink minimum and 20% gratuity. A full six keeps the per-person cost down. Prepaid bookings can't be refunded or changed.

Little Christmas Spirit at Little Spirit
299 N Highland Ave NE r3, Atlanta, GA 30307, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Little Spirit's past Christmas takeovers paired festive cocktails and mulled wine with a small, cozy neighborhood bar. It's a separate bar at the same address as BeetleCat, which makes it the natural second stop after dinner and The Den. Plan your visit: Wait for this year's dates before planning around it.

Après Ski at Ranger Station
684 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE Unit J, Atlanta, GA 30312, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Ranger Station sits upstairs from Ladybird, and last season's après-ski takeover nailed the winter-lodge mood with seasonal cocktails, shotskis and fondue. If it returns, it's a great cold-night date or small-group plan. Plan your visit: If it's back, book a table upstairs and make it the main event.

Christmas at Dad's
870 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Christmas at Dad's feels like a friend's house that happens to have a much better drinks menu. Past editions leaned into retro decorations, comfort food and playful seasonal cocktails. Plan your visit: Last year's Christmas menu is still online, so wait for the new announcement before planning around a specific drink.

Tiki Holiday at S.O.S. Tiki Bar
340 Church St, Decatur, GA 30030, USA
Watch for 2026 details. S.O.S. is the pick when what's in the glass matters most. Its holiday tradition puts Christmas decorations inside a proper tiki bar, with seasonal rum drinks to match. It's playful, intimate and very Decatur. Plan your visit: Watch for opening nights before building a Decatur evening around it.
Downtown, Westside and more Atlanta holiday bars
These picks are spread across town, so treat each as the anchor of its own evening rather than a stop on a crawl.

Blitzen's at Vues Lobby Bar
190 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA
Dates announced: Nov. 20, 2026–Jan. 3, 2027, daily 4–11 p.m. The Omni's lobby bar picks up ornaments, lights and tinsel for the season, with a cocktail menu developed with bartender Julie Reiner. It's the easy festive stop if you're already Downtown for a hotel stay, a game or a show. Plan your visit: Navigate to the Omni at Centennial Park, not the Omni at The Battery. Check the Atlanta bar's current menu before you go.

Westside Sleigh at Westside Motor Lounge
725 Echo St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Westside Motor Lounge has room to spread out, with indoor and outdoor space, a courtyard, fire pits and a music setup. Past Westside Sleigh seasons layered holiday drinks and decorations on top, which makes it a good call for a bigger, casual group. Plan your visit: Once the schedule is out, pick a night around the music or food programming and dress for the outdoor areas.

Boeven Bar at Halfway Crooks Beer
60 Georgia Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Boeven Bar debuted last season, turning the brewery's downstairs into a Christmas den with festive cocktails and its Boeven Christmas ale. It's the one to watch for a group that would rather drink beer than another sweet seasonal cocktail. Plan your visit: Head to the Georgia Avenue brewery, not the separate biergarten next door.

Chrismukkah at Daily Chew
2127 Liddell Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30324, USA
Watch for 2026 details. Daily Chew's Chrismukkah nights bring Christmas and Hanukkah to the same table, with latkes, doughnuts and seasonal cocktails. It's a food-first holiday outing and the only one on this list that celebrates both. Plan your visit: Watch for the special evening dates before booking dinner.
Metro Atlanta holiday pop-ups worth the drive
Each of these is a destination evening. Plan dinner nearby and don't count on hopping between them and the intown bars.

Elf'd UP at UP on the Roof
33 S Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009, USA
Dates announced: Nov. 20–Dec. 27, daily from 3 p.m. UP on the Roof decks out both its indoor bar and its outdoor cocktail terrace, and serves the full dinner menu alongside the holiday drinks. There's no admission charge, which makes it one of the simplest pop-ups on this list to just show up to. Decide whether you want a casual round at the bar or a dinner reservation to anchor the night. Plan your visit: The pop-up bar is first come, first served; dinner reservations are separate. Families are welcome before 8 p.m. Take the Liberty Hall elevator off the Main Street breezeway. Open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Third Door Holiday Pop-Up
131 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060, USA
Dates announced: Opens Nov. 27. This year's theme and closing date are coming. The Third Door is a cocktail bar in a restored 1930s filling station near Marietta Square, and it switches into holiday mode the day after Thanksgiving. Its regular lineup of cocktails, original mocktails and live music makes it a good pick for a date or a small group. Plan your visit: The main bar is generally walk-in, while the Bearcat Lounge books separately. Some music nights carry their own charge, so check your date on the holiday calendar.

Tinsel Tavern at Live! at The Battery
825 Battery Ave SE #600, Atlanta, GA 30339, USA
Confirmed, dates to come. The 2026 priority reservation list is open. Tinsel goes big on decorations and photo spots, with seasonal drinks and bites to match. It's built for a social group night, and The Battery around it covers dinner and whatever comes after. Plan your visit: Join the priority list for reservations. Office parties and larger groups should use the private-event inquiry.

Miracle at Trilith Guesthouse
350 Trilith Pkwy, Fayetteville, GA 30214, USA
Confirmed, dates to come. Oliver's Twist, the British-inspired rooftop bar at Trilith Guesthouse, hosts a Miracle pop-up this year, with views over the Town at Trilith. It's the south-metro answer to the intown takeovers, and an easy one to pair with an evening wandering the town. Plan your visit: Holiday dates and booking details haven't been released, and a regular Oliver's Twist reservation may not cover the pop-up.
Tips for planning an Atlanta Christmas bar night
- Pick two stops, not five. Dinner at Santa's Hideaway followed by Virtue is an easy Midtown pairing. In Inman Park, start at the Holiday Bar at The Den and add Little Spirit once its dates are out.
- Book the holiday space, not just the restaurant. At BeetleCat, AltaToro and 9 Mile Station, a regular reservation won't necessarily get you into the decorated room, and Park Tavern's skating is a separate ticket.
- Give the suburbs their own night. The Battery, Alpharetta, Marietta and Trilith each work best with dinner nearby rather than as part of an intown crawl.
