Fort Collins is a city of about 170,000 an hour north of Denver, and it's less a college town than a real city that happens to hold a 34,000-student land-grant university. Campus sits roughly between Laurel Street on the north, Shields on the west, College Avenue on the east, and Prospect Road on the south, with the Oval at its historic front door and Canvas Stadium on the southwest side.
