Thanksgiving takeout in Austin can mean a roasted turkey with chorizo stuffing, an oak-smoked bird handed to you hot on Thanksgiving Day, or a Mediterranean dinner for two with turkey and beef tenderloin kebabs. This guide covers complete Thanksgiving dinners, smaller meals for one to four people, and the smoked turkeys, sides and pies that make a partly homemade holiday a lot easier.
Fresa's is our top pick for a complete meal with real Austin personality. Colleen's Kitchen is the call for a classic Southern spread, and Micklethwait is the one to know if you want barbecue picked up hot on the day. For a smaller table, start with Aba, Ema or Casa do Brasil. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and prices exclude tax unless noted.

A Few Things That Make Thanksgiving Takeout Easier
Decide how much oven time you can spare. Most takeout comes cold. Micklethwait, CARVE and Perry's will hand it over hot on Thanksgiving Day, while a Smokey Mo's feast needs four to five hours in a single oven.
Treat the deadline as the outer limit. Smokey Mo's, Micklethwait and Bouldin Creek all have limited quantities, and several kitchens haven't posted a cutoff at all. If you know what you want, order now.
Keep the pickup route short. One main order and one bakery stop is plenty. Choose kitchens near home or on the way to dinner, and check the location and date at checkout, since Stiles Switch and la Barbecue won't fix the wrong one after the fact.
